Just returned from a family trip to Redfish Haven. The home is exactly as stated -- very clean and well-appointed. The owners were wonderful and very helpful when suggesting activities in the area. The area is quiet and somewhat secluded, but that's what we were looking for so it was great for us. You have to drive 6-7 miles for the nearest beach in Carrabelle. Both St. George Island and Bald Point State Park have beaches and are easily accessible. Bald Point is very secluded. St. George Island has a variety of restaurants, shops and an outstanding beach in the state park. In Apalachicola, we ate at the Seafood Grill on Market Street and enjoyed our meal. Prices were reasonable. If you have kids, stop by the Crooked River Lighthouse. The guides were very informative and interesting. There's a great playground for the kids with a very large pirate ship to play on. If you're looking for relaxation and peace, this is a wonderful place. We would definitely come back again!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
