Tortuga Beach House is truly heaven on earth! The newest member of West Bay Village welcomes you to Roatan's beautiful West Bay Beach. This newly built second level property is furnished with local Honduran furniture and the walls are adorned with art done by local artists. Tortuga is only steps away from from some of the most incredible snorkeling you will find anywhere in beautiful Caribbean blue waters.
This new house has been finished with all the modern conveniences. The kitchen is finished with Honduran wood cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The gas stove is a cook's dream, and the dishwasher assures that you spend your vacation time relaxing, not doing dishes. There is a breakfast bar area with stools, plus a dining area where you can enjoy local seafood.
The living room and dining areas are very spacious with fantastic vaulted ceilings and big windows. The comfortable furnishings make a great space to relax with the new flat screen TV and DVD player at the end of the day. Wifi is available in Tortuga at no extra cost. A beautiful wood door leads from the living room to the covered deck. The gorgeous turquoise waters of the Caribbean can be seen as you relax on one of the comfortable deck chairs. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail.
The master bedroom is furnished with a beautiful and comfortable queen size bed. The ensuite bath boasts twin sinks in a travertine tiled vanity. The combination tub and shower surround is tiled with this same beautiful tile. The second bedroom is also very spacious and furnished with twin beds that can be configured into a king size bed. The guest bathroom is accessible from the second bathroom or main hallway. This bathroom has an incredible tiled walk-in shower and vanity with the same travertine as the master bath. All rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning units, but you will probably find that the trade winds will keep you just as cool.
There is 24 hour security at West Bay Village, a gardener to tend the beautiful trees, shrubs, and flowers, and weekly maid service. Groceries can be purchased down the road at West Bay Mall. The mall has a great coffee shop and local food options. Across the street are other restaurants, including a sushi bar. Down the beach from Tortuga are other great restaurants to choose from, with many of them offering daily drink and food specials. There's also a fish truck that visits West Bay Village every week. There are several dive shops close by where you can sign up for some world class diving. You can catch a water taxi on the beach and head into West End to experience the shopping, dining, and nightlife there. You can also get a taxi to drive you there, but try the water taxi at least once. It's a great way to see some of the beautiful homes and resorts on the island.

We stayed in Tortuga for 3 weeks in February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tortuga is a beautiful new home just steps off the beach. Casa Tortuga was perfect - beautifully decorated, very well equipped kitchen , comfy beds, great deck with a view of the ocean. The housekeeping staff, gardener, and security are friendly and helpful. The snorkelling off the beach just left of the pier is great - saw the spotted eagle ray and octopus on the last two snorkels. West Bay Village is a very special place that is rarely found in the Caribbean. Brad and Ruth( the management company)welcome both new guests and returning guests as if they were family. They are always very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. We have met many good friends over the years that continue to return to the village. We look forward to returning in the future and hope to stay in Casa Tortuga. We stayed at Tortuga Beach House for 9 nights over the Easter break. The property is beautiful and conveniently located on the world class West Bay Beach. The property presents exactly as described on the VRBO. I would strongly recommned for all beach lovers looking for convenient access to world class diving. Brad and Ruth the onsite property managers and the local staff were available to answer all of our questions.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
