  We rented this beautiful home for a week in February as a mid-winter getaway from our homes in Ohio. Upon arriving at the home, we were greeted by the owner of the home for a personalized tour. Wow -- what a great touch! As we started walking the property, our chins dropped. We had seen the pictures on the sight, but photos cannot do this home justice. Beautiful inside and out. The view of the ocean from the back porch is so picture-worthy, I believe we brought home around 20 photos of it! We loved the "private beach" -- although it is not listed as such, we only saw one person (other than our party) walk the beach the entire time we were there. This property is very well-maintained and the owners are charming. If you are considering a stay on the North Shore, this home is definitely worth checking out. We hope to return some day and will definitely rent this home again if we are so lucky!

  There were 7 of us from Iowa and 2 from Idaho who recently vacationed at the Mokuleia Beach House. We could have stayed in a motel with a bed and bathroom and lots of other vacationers. Instead, our daughter happened upon this place on the internet which was a blessing beyond belief, a "diamond destination"! It was secluded and safe behind a locked entrance. It was very beautiful, spacious, and provided privacy when needed. Most of our meals were prepared there and we enjoyed eating as a family at the large dining table. The lush tropical plants, the ornate decor and the private beach added to the splendor. All the extras such as the swim supplies, croquet set and bocci ball added to our fun. Six of us sky dived right across from the house and will never forget that experience and would highly recommend it to anyone. The place is even pretty from 14,000 feet high above! Bobby was of great assistance with any questions we had and even got us a coconut from the grounds and showed us how to crack it open. The only problem we had was the week went too quickly and we had to return to 8 inches of snow. What a memory! The Mokuleia Beach House allowed us to relax, rewind, and most importantly spend quality time with family and friends. Thanks so very much.

  This home is the perfect family vacation destination . Recently I had a family reunion there.My brother & his girlfriend,my sister,mother,best friend ,her husband & son,my husband & son & myself. There was plenty of room to have privacy if wanted,and lots of room for games , movie watching ,a private beach where we snorkled & swam everyday. A big dinning area where we all enjoyed many meals & beautiful hawaiian plates & serving dishes included. Fully stocked kitchen with every thing you need to feel at home . Look in kitchen before shopping as you will find there are a lot of things already there! The grounds are breath taking , peaceful, serene . We took long walks on the beach , played games & relaxed. It's a short car ride to the coolest parts of Oahu North Shore. You will love it here! This is our 2nd time here & certainly not our last !

  Ten of us from the HoustonTexas area had the pleasure of spending 10 days in this home. The grounds are beautiful and the inside of the home is spacious. Jennifer and Bobby were very gracious and very attentive to our questions and needs. They also supplied equipment to make our down time at the home relaxing and enjoyable – from puzzles to snorkel gear, they have thought of everything. There is a little town nearby called Haleiwa which is where we did our grocery shopping, drug store shopping, and just plain old shopping – lot of shops there and many restaurants to choose from. It was nice having a place close by where you can run out and get something real quick that you need to cook with. The Dole Plantation is not far away and the trips we took into Honolulu were not a bad drive. We did a lot of things and had a wonderful time.

  Our Ohana (family) rented this home for our long time coming vacation and to visit with our Tutu (Grandmother) and relatives on Oahu we hadn't seen in many years. Although the maximum allowed is 14, the owners graciously allowed us to have our group of 17 (12 adults, 4 children, 1 baby). We never felt crowded or uncomfortable, there was plenty of beds for everyone including two single futons and baby play & pack crib which came in handy. This house is so beautiful and spacious, tropical and green grounds, secluded yet conveniently close to shops, and awesome beach. We saw a monk seal and many honu's (sea turtles) playing on the shore.....one actually beached right in front the house. We enjoyed every minute.....spending family time together, the wonderful views, the white sandy beach, the weather.....so relaxing. We would definitely recommend this "awesome" and spacious beach house to anyone that wants to spend quiet times away from all the crowds on the North Shore. We are definitely looking forward to our next stay! Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) for everything!!

  At the Mokuleia Beach House, we appreciated. . . "the beautiful beach, all the beach towels. All the amenities that are at our fingertips". Activities we enjoyed most during our stay. . . "snorkeling, walking on the beach, Pearl harbor, hiking, sunsets, watching the stars". What will you remember most about your stay?. . . "the sound of the ocean and the beautiful weather".   The house, near the end of the road is a long way from any restaurant, grocery store or any business. The grounds were nice, but the house needed updating. The kitchen was small, and the bathrooms were plain. The 5 bedrooms were adequate, but the house advertises sleeping 14. The last 4 sleep in a room that has a pitched roof with mattresses and box springs on the floor. Last four sleeping arrangements were comfortable for only small children. Although the deposit was returned promptly, the owner withheld a portion of the deposit for 'extra cleaning'. The 'extra cleaning' included sand in the house (its a beach house!), increase in laundry (we washed all the towels before we left), food left under a pillow in a bedroom and sand on the grill. When I asked for documentation or any evidence the owner could not or would not provide. We enjoyed our vacation in Hawaii, but we will not return to this property. There are other lovely houses available all along the beach.

  Owner response: Aloha everyone, This is disheartening to have this posted and is truly unfortunate when someone writes a dishonest review purely for the reason of trying to get even. It’s a dirty trick and one which we hope all of you can easily see right through by simply looking at our photos and reading our other 5 star reviews. Our property is incredible and one of a kind. The truth is. . . this guest was caught trying to “sneak-in” two additional guests which he did not pay for. When one hundred dollars was deducted from his cleaning deposit to cover the larger groups cleaning, it prompted his negative review. Before that, he wrote the following review in our beach house guest book on departure day: “At the Mokuleia Beach House, I appreciated the space, beauty, peace, private beach, all the pillows, all the amenities and special touches by our hosts. Thanks for everything! Mahalo!” signed by ALL fourteen family members! There were NO negative comments whatsoever. He even emailed us upon arriving back home and said “we had a great time there”. That was until he was charged the additional cleaning fee. Reviews posted on the internet are a great tool for finding that special vacation destination but can also be used in a negative way as this one has. Please read the other reviews, look at the photos and see our beach house as it truly is. . . . “awesome”! Mahalo!

  Our family gathered here for our son's wedding at Turtle Bay (about 35 minutes' drive north). It took our breath away when we got out of the car, and the more we drove around the island the more fortunate we realized we were. It is secluded yet convenient; spacious; impeccably appointed; and right on the most beautiful beach. None of the crowded roads that we saw elsewhere. The owners have thought of everything, with ample snorkel equipment and two (2!) outdoor showers at our disposal. Our family slowly built a jig-saw puzzle during the week and watched whales every morning. It was great to sit together around the enormous dining table at the end of each day. If you're a big family or a group, don't hestitate: This is the place!

  We rented out this home for a special occasion and it made a wonderful day better than we could have hoped for. The pictures don't do this place justice. There were 11 people in our group and we never felt crowded or uncomfortable. The outside grounds are beautiful and the inside of the house is immaculate. The owners' attention to detail, both inside and out, made our stay more comfortable and accomodating than we could have imagined. One of the highlights of my stay was seeing two monk seals sunning themselves on the beach just yards from the house! I would recommend this beach house to anyone who wants to spend some quiet, peaceful time on the beautiful north shore of Oahu!
