Green Shutters is a three bedroom cottage located in the center of town, close to restaurants, shops and dock access. This unique gem possesses an old world charm with all the modern amenities needed to enjoy a complete island vacation. The beach is just out your front door 60 feet away from the house. It is the best swimming beach on the island — private and calm with turquoise blue water. Swim, snorkel or just lie out and enjoy the island breeze.
Throughout the house are lots of windows, hardwood floors & beautiful artwork perfectly placed in each room. There is an open concept fully stocked kitchen and dining area with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a breakfast bar. The dining room provides enough seating for eight people plus offers a dry bar with lots of storage. The living-room has ample seating plus a cozy sitting area just off the dining room great to read, rest or just relax. The main house has two bedrooms one queen and one twin with a shared his & hers bathroom. Both bedrooms are bright and airy with lots of closet space. (The twin beds can be converted into a king size bed.)
Detached from the main house is a private queen size bungalow with ensuite bath… close enough to stay connected but far enough to retreat for privacy. There is a small fridge, microwave and plenty of closet space plus a full bathroom with shower.
Just to the side of the house are steps leading up to the widow’s walk where you can experience the best of both worlds with either a view of the ocean or the harbour! As you walk up the steps you’ll have a full on view of the lighthouse. After reaching the top there is seating to relax and take in the breathtaking views. Watch sailboats come and go, listen to the sound of waves or look out to the Sea of Abaco. Enjoy the colourful array of houses and water from above and get lost in your surroundings!
Hope Town is a unique place to visit with a memorable island charm...and so much to do! Enjoy boating, swimming, bicycling, fishing, surfing and kite boarding. Visit surrounding islands and explore protected reefs. Nightlife is fun in Hope Town with a variety of waterfront restaurants to choose from and great entertainment by local bands. Hope Town is perfect for families, couples and large groups that want to relax and get away from it all!
Getting to Hope Town is easy once you get to West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale or Miami, Florida. There are also small charter services that fly out of Orlando, St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. The flight from Florida to Marsh Harbour is about an hour and then Hope Town is a short ferry ride from Marsh Harbour. When you arrive in Hope Town you will be met by our rental agency and they will help you to the house.

Hopetown, is a little village, commonly known as a settlement, tucked on a Cay in the middle of the ocean.
This settlement is defined in every way by it's historical roots going back to the 17th century. It has a storybook harbor and candy cane light house along with empty expansive beaches that go on and on. In Hopetown and on Elbow Cay, there a host of waterside restaurants, grocery stores, a coffee house and a variety of other shopping opportunities. Deep sea fishing, boat rentals, kayaking, snorkeling and diving opportunities are also locally available. Hopetown has a treasure of history and culture everywhere you walk and captured beautifully in their local museum.
