Awesome $ 1.5 Million Caribbean Bay Beachfront 4-Acre Estate
- Minimum stay:7 nights

- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:Yes
Welcome to discovering 'The Best Caribbean Vacation Destination' for American and Canadian families (please see below, the 'Five-Star' guests reviews and our over Sixty Eight Thousand VRBO website's visitors since 2004). This tropical beachfront villa is majestically nestled in the paradisiacal bay of Omoa, between the Caribbean Sea and the awesome ever green Merendon mountains. Wake up in the morning with the sounds of nature all around the villa, tropical birds, howling monkeys and other animals. Then, have a good cup of Honduran coffee, while enjoying the rainforest within this Caribbean bay beachfront paradise ! Last year, the National Geographic Traveler editors included Roatan, Honduras - 'A divers' dream paradise' in the list of the world's Ten top places to visit. The estate is located just an hour's boat ride from this coral barrier reef; but away from Roatan's tourists crowded places. Our hidden mainland location is the ideal spot for discovering Honduras' best kept secrets !
This eco-estate has spectacular views of the wide, truly unspoiled sandy beaches stretching as far as the eyes can see, up to an unexplored mangrove ecosystem; with no houses, no people and no hotels, but very safe. Untouched pristine beaches, whose only inhabitants are coconut palms, exotic plants, fruit trees, shore birds, iguanas, geckos, turtles and crabs surround this secluded property; yet, near city conveniences (e.g. restaurants, bars, grocery store, bank, police station, hospital, pharmacy, church, park, etc, are located within driving distances.
'Our family greatly enjoyed this trip to Honduras. All the people we met were so special to make us feel safe and welcomed. This home is beautiful and comfortable, the staff is amazing and Honduras is beautiful - from its people to its landscape ! ', wrote on our guestbook, Jenny Alewyne Reynolds, Deputy Director for the Webster Parish Office of Homeland Security. Honduras' former president, Manuel Zelaya wrote: 'This is truly paradise, but with all the comforts of home'
Many activities are available on site or nearby, such as swimming, fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving in a world-class protected coral barrier reef: Sapodilla Cayes Marine Reserve (UNESCO World Heritage Site), horseback riding on the beach, historic sites, a thrill zip line and canopy adventure in the rainforest of the Honduran jungle full of fun.
We are a 'Geotourism' destination, which refers to 'Tourism that sustain or enhances the geographic character of a place - its environment, culture, aesthetics, heritage, and the well being of its residents'. This alliance is between the Honduran government, the National Geographic Society, George Washington University and Counterpart International in Washington, D.C. (National Geographic News, October 25, 2004).
Behind our estate are located the stunning Merendon green mountains, home of the 60,000-acre, Cusuco National Park; which has a tropical rainforest and a highland cloud forest, both featuring a diversity of tropical plants and over 250 exotic wildlife species (Oxford University, Operation Wallacea press news, September 07, 2006 and National Geographic Magazine). An article published on October 21, 2010 by the Irish Times describes the 'Hondurodendron' as a new genus of tree just discovered here by a team of researchers from Southern Illinois University, The Natural History Museum in London, Trinity College in Dublin and the world-renowned Missouri Botanical Garden; whom described it as 'a once in a lifetime experience'. Who knows ? perhaps, you will be the next one to discover something unique in this tropical paradise.
This unknown, unexplored region is perhaps one of the most beautiful and fascinating treasures in the world still awaiting to be discovered !
Our fully-equipped & furnished estate has nine bedrooms, living & dining room, gourmet kitchen, ten bathrooms, large hardwood deck with a swimming pool in the middle, a private master bedroom's terrace with breathtaking views of the mountains and the Caribbean Sea.
This villa has a romantic palm-thatched palapa by the beach with a table for eight people and three hammocks, ideal for reading a book, take a nap or just relax while enjoying the Caribbean Sea fragant breezes.
Walk to your private beach and gazebo over beautiful natural stone walkways through a lushly landscaped tropical garden surrounded by coconut palm trees, fruit trees, exotic plants and the smell of colorful aromatic flowers.
Our friendly staff are the most gracious hosts you can ask for ! You will pampered beyond your wildest dreams. First of all, you'll have the services of an excellent gourmet chef, who will cook for you three (3) delicious meals each day, thereby you'll feel like eating at a 5-star restaurant every day; but only at a fraction of its price ! Also, you´ll have the services of a maid, who will clean up the house, rooms, make up the beds and do the laundry. Additionally, you'll have the services of the villa´s groundskeeper and handy man. Also, you´ll have the services of a professional driver & guide, who will take you to the most fascinating places in Honduras.
'It was great to have a lovely spot to accomodate the whole family for our Christmas vacation together/family reunion, seventeen in all, ages nearly three to seventy three. The kids took part in, and loved doing everything the growns-ups did; snorkeling, the zip line, boat trip to the lagoon, a visit to the seventeenth hundred fort and the wonderful overnight trip to Copan Ruins'; wrote in our guestbook, Linda Pauling Kamb, daughter of Dr. Linus Carl Pauling, the only person ever to receive two unshared Nobel Prizes-one for Chemistry (1954) and for Peace (1962) and ranked by the British Journal New Scientist, as one of the top twenty (20) scientists of all time.
'Because Americans feel safer, enjoy white sand beaches, sunny days and cheaper living, they are increasingly visiting Honduras for a vacation' (The Washington Post - August 29, 2004).
THE FLIGHT FROM MIAMI TAKES ONLY TWO HOURS !! (THREE HOURS FROM ATLANTA)
Thank you for your visit to this VRBO website; sincerely, the villa's staff, May, 2013.

We were looking for a place to spend the upcoming holiday with our family and found paradise ! Definitely, this beautiful property is perfect for our family vacation. At the last minute we made plans to go + visit the property before making our holiday plans. Even though we spent a short 4 days + 3 nights - we had a wonderful time. I can honestly say we have never been treated more graciously ! All our needs were attended to. Everyone was sincerely helpful and extremely warm and friendly. Ebenor asked us each evening where we wanted to go the following day. We went to the fort in Omoa and to the little town of Cuyamel. Wilson brought us the horses to ride on the beach, he cut the coconuts and Mario + Alejandra cooked us delicious and beautifully presented meals and kept the house spotless ! This was truly an incredible mini vacation. We have stayed in many "homes" in our travels, but have never had the 5-Star treatment we received here. Thank you for a truly, beautiful memory ! My family and I had a long trip from Europe to this property in Honduras. First, we took a four-hour train from Edinburgh to London, where we stayed during that night. The following day, we took a nine-hour flight from London to Miami. After waiting a few hours at the airport, we boarded a flight to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. At the airport, we were picked up by Ebenor in his Volvo SUV; then, he drove us to our final destination, this beautiful beach house. We had a fantastic holiday, very relaxing atmosphere, lovely people + excellent Honduran cuisine and nice veggie food, too !! The kids loved the pool + the beach, location is fabolous + staff were outstanding. During our stay, we enjoyed many activities such as swimming on the ocean and in the pool, horseback riding on the beach, played golf at the Lima Verde Golf Club and visited several other local attractions, such as the children's zoo and waterpark located nearby. Thanks for a great holiday - Cockburn Family.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Rick and I were one of six couples on this week vacation. We had a wonderful time, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, lovely house & grounds, wonderful ocean, refreshing pool, great meals and the hospitality of the people. The staff; Mario, Alejandra, Estela and Winson were all so friendly and willing to meet all of our requests, all we had to do was ASK. Mario is an excellent cook (chef) he served us three delicious meals everyday with the help of the ladies & there was always plenty to eat. I enjoyed the variety and the authentic Honduran food. My favorite was the conch soup - yum oh ! The staff made arrangements for us to go on the zip line - canopy tour which was fantastic, a real adrenaline rush. The staff at Rawacala was so helpful and fun. We also went on the lagoon tour which was beautiful, but we were disappointed not to see monkeys (too hot for them to come out that day - we were told). We also went on an all day snorkeling trip to the Sapodilla Cayes - this was quite an adventure and excellent snorkeling as well. The pool at the house was clean and beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. The view from the beach is breathtaking. We spent many hours on the beach. It was fun looking for sand dollars and playing in the waves. The water was very clean and clear. We celebrated Valentines Day and my brother's birthday, Mario made special cakes for both ocassions. Thanks ! On our last night we had the Garifuna come and dance and play music around a big fire on the beach. We all really enjoyed ourselves. Some of us took the tour of the Fort in Omoa, this was very interesting and it was good to have an English speaking guide. Also, we were very thankful that Winson, the property caretaker, spoke enough English to get our points across. I myself enjoyed the horses and beauty. Leaving our children back home was hard so we were specially happy to have WIFI so we could e-mail our children. All in all, we had a wonderful time here.Did you find this review helpful? Picking up a new place to have a vacation at can be stressful in making sure you pick the right location for your friends and family. You can't go grong with Evenor's property. Rest assure that the choice to stay here will not be one of any regret. Daily excursions, riding horses, bonfires on the beach, drinking out of fresh coconuts, eating great seafood, swimming in the private pool, hunting crabs on the beach at night, and some many other things created memories the kids will never forget. When Evenor found out it was my wife's birthday he even brought a piñata with candy for the kids. The landscaping, beach, house and the pool were all immaculate. The beach is very private and beautiful. The rooms are very large and have separate air conditioning. Evenor and his staff were great. The chef and his help prepared great meals and took care of everything from grocery shopping to cooking to serving the food for us. The housekeeper took care of the rooms and kept the place clean and rooms prepared. The groundskeeper took care of any questions or problems we had. He also cut coconuts out of the trees on the property for the kids to drink out of and walked the horses while the kids rode them. Evenor and his entire staff served our every need. May God Bless You. This holiday in Honduras has been really great. First, the services provided by the owner & his staff are top-notch. We've done several activities: zip-lining, fishing, snorkeling at the Sapodilla Cayes, went to the children's zoo, played soccer against a team of Hondurans (they won) and even went to the grocery store and a local fish market for the catch of the day ! Also, visited the Guamilito Market to buy Honduran handcrafts and souveniers. All were great. The swimming in the pod next to the waterfall was a smash hit with the kids - comes with the zip lining. We loved the true nature of this Caribbean beachfront place, unspoiled my mass tourism. Kids (age 3, 5-14) loved it too. Also, the cook and the food were fantastic. Our last night at the villa with Garifuna music & bonfire on the beach was a great ending in style of a great holiday. Many thanks for a fantastic holiday !Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Fabulous food, perfect weather and a great villa to enjoy a Christmas family reunion. This is the only time I have ever enjoyed riding a horse on the beach. At this place, I have known the most wonderful people I have ever met - Ivan, Mario, Alejandra, Estella, Wilson & Rosa ! We enjoyed a very special Christmas with many local children and a drum/dance group. We did and enjoyed a lot of things everyday during our stay here. You know it's the perfect vacation when you just so hate to leave ! Gracias a todos ! y Feliz Navidad ! C. When we started communicating with Evenor about this vacation, he was very responsive to our calls & emails. Sometimes when you read what's included or reviews, you don't know what to believe. BELIEVE IT ! We had an awesome week at this beautiful estate filled with fun and excitement ! Mario, Omar, Wilson, Juana, Alessandra, Bryan, Yeison are absolutely wonderful people and very good at their work. Very helpful, accomodating, respectful, and so deligent we had to force them to let us help. You should be sure to appreciate every minute of any day you spend with them. We also got to meet their children who truly represent the word "Angels". Our week included a beautiful snorkel trip to a private island in Belize. On this day as we crossed the sea, we saw a whale shark, 3 pilot whales, and caught 5 tunas ! The shark and wales were close enough for us to get awesome pictures ! Also, another day, we took a fishing trip which included a safari, we saw cool black monkeys playing in a tree. (Boat picked us up at Evenor's property). Have you ever ridden a horse along the ocean ? DO IT ! The staff brought us horses and down the beach we went. One day Omar and Mario took us into town to shop for souveniers. The shop owners were so grateful they walked us to the car to say good bye. The week also brought a whole new appreciation for all of us for what we have back home. The Honduran culture is strong and the people are just incredible. If you are considering coming here, just do it. You won't be sorry. Make sure you come hungry because Mario only knows how to cook Grande' Delicious Meals. Thank you to Evenor, Omar, Mario, Wilson, Bryan, Yeison, Juana, Alessandra, our new friends. Owner info
Year Purchased: 1995
About the owner: IMPORTANT: MAP IS BEST VIEWED USING HYBRID OPTION. My wife and me with our seventeen (17) year old daughter, Alejandra Marie during prom night in Honduras, the way it used to be in the old days in North America: dinner & dancing with classmates and family. Our family owns & manages a Real Estate business and a Restaurant Delivery Service (RDS) company in Honduras. We want to tell you that we enjoy hosting guests at this private family-owned Caribbean Beachfront Villa and assist our visitors in arranging daily trips & excursions to the most fascinating places in Honduras, as you can read below on the comments written by our previous guests on the Travelers Reviews section of this VRBO website. Thereby, we want to invite you, your family & friends to visit Honduras to enjoy our beautiful country and wonderful hospitality, for a memorable vacation you'll never forget !!
Why the Owner Chose Masca:
We purchased this beachfront property because of the beautiful unspoiled wide sandy beaches and the remoteness of this location away from the hustle & bustle of other beaches. Then, We built the house and constantly do remodeling in order to keep it to the highest standards of quality; for example the new large kitchen, big dining room, bar, new bedrooms, the purchase of a generator, just to mention some of the most recent additions to the estate.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
Great sandy beaches, excellent beach for swimming, stunning sunsets, beautiful landscape & surroundings, a relaxing pool setting, a romantic palapa by the beach with hammocks. This property is strategically located for doing a lot more fascinating things from here than from any other place in Honduras: world class snorkeling and scuba diving, ocean swimming, fishing, horseback riding, trips to historic sites, 17th Century Omoa Fort, Copan's Mayan Ruins, mountains, rainforest, rivers, waterfalls, zip lines, Jaloa lagoon, Yojoa lake, wildlife viewing, etc.
