Our new, modern 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment is furnished and decorated to a high standard and will make a very comfortable base for your visit. The 10ft ceilings make it a very light, bright place to enjoy your stay in Edinburgh. Located in the popular West End, this is an ideal place to stay when visiting Edinburgh. It is just at the end of the world famous Princes street and easy walking distance to all attractions. Location The apartment is at the end of Princes street and you will find a wide selection of shops, boutiques, cafes, bars, restaurants, pubs, bistros and grocery stores on stepping out the door. Directly below is a Sainsbury local (grocery store) where you can buy everything you need for your stay.
Accommodation The interior is very comfortable with modern furnishings and fittings. It is on the first floor (2nd for US visitors) Everything was new in March 2013. - The lounge/dining room/kitchen area is bright and spacious with wood floors. The lounge area has a flat screen TV and comfortable sofas. The dining area has a table and chairs for 4 and is adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has an electric hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer - all that you will need to make life easy while on vacation. - Bedroom 1 is spacious with an en-suite shower room. The bed is a US Queen (UK King) size with luxury linens. Free standing closets provide ample storage for all your belongings. This room overlooks the rear of the property ensuring a peaceful nights sleep. There is a flat screen TV in this bedroom. The shower room is fully tiled and has a heated towel rail and shaver point. - Bedroom 2 has a double bed with luxury linens and also is at the rear of the property. - A full tiled Bath Room is accessed off the hallway. This has a shower over the bath tub. Again with a heated towel rail, shaver point.
Local transport - Access to the local bus system is just round the corner from the apartment. This is a wonderful way of getting around Edinburgh - you would expect a bus to take you along Princes Street within minutes (there is even an iPhone App to give the real time position of the buses!). - Haymarket train station is a 5 minute walk - Waverley Station is a 20 minute walk or 8 minutes by taxi. - Edinburgh airport is less than 7 miles from the apartment (see our external link to Google Maps below for the suggested route - and more local information).

Our apartment is within easy walking distance of Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and most of the City's major attractions. Stepping out the main door you will find colourful, stylish boutiques and some of the city's most-loved pubs and bars which combine to create a bohemian feel to this part of Edinburgh. In the surrounding streets award-winning retailers and restaurants live side-by-side with inspired architectural and design practices.
This is a good base for day trips to Glasgow, St Andrews, Stirling and the Borders. Visit the one of 12 Edinburgh Festivals - Fringe, International, Books, Film, Art, Jazz and Blues to name just a few. Easy access to the local bus system and taxis if you don't want to walk. Just 25 minutes from the airport by car or taxi.

About the owner: This is the second stage of our dream! Andrew & I met while students in Edinburgh 30 years ago. We have always said we will return here one day after living and working in the South of England, Belgium and most recently in Virginia, USA. We bought our first flat in 2010 as the first step in realizing our dream. We returned to the UK in October 2012 and are beginning to develop our Edinburgh business. We want others share to our place and fall in love with Scotland and Edinburgh:)
Why the Owner Chose Edinburgh: We bought this apartment 2 weeks after returning to the UK. We loved the location in the West End of the city, easy walking distance to everything Edinburgh has to offer and access to the wonderful public transport. The finish of the listed building is beautiful, all 10 apartments sold within days, we were lucky to get one!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment: We aim to provide the best Scottish Hospitality Edinburgh can offer and want it to be a home from home (although we know it is much smaller than American standards), it will have everything you need to make your stay very comfortable.
