our family had a great week at the journey , there is plenty of room and fun things to do , we enjoyed the game room and hot tub , the cabin was clean and beautiful this was our second year at the journey and we have decided to make it a family tradition to stay every year , jack and his wife are great and make it so easy for you our 16 year old loved that we had internet access and games to play and you are so close to the strip but far enough away to enjoy the peace and beauty that GOD has created , if you want a great place to make family memories the journey is the place for you . we love the journey .

We just visited in January 2012, we had a wonderful time, the owner was very helpful providing all the information. The place was clean, internet was working, had extra bedding, Pool table and air hockey table brought extra fun to the vacation. Its wonderful location, I will visit his cabin again and will recommend to anyone. A wonderful location. Loved it!

Cabin was very good, good location in resort, kitchen needs utensils and cookware, serving ware replenished, ice maker doesn't work so you have to either purchase ice or be sure to freeze ice early in the day. Two bedrooms do not have tvs would stay again with this owner.

We have stayed in Jack's cabin several times and as always it was neat and clean. It is in such a fantastic location with easy access to Dollywood and Gatlinburg. Our family tries to come every year at fall break and love Hidden Springs. I would recommend anyone to contact Jack to book his cabin if you want a nice and roomy place to stay. Hope to book with you again next year Jack!!!

We thought this was a very beautiful, spacious cabin. Unfortunately, there was not an x box 360 as advertised on the website which was a real downer for my children. The cabin was close to all the fun things to do.
Owner response:During this visit the old x-box had malfunctioned and had been taken out. The unit has been replaced with a new x-box 360 with four new games.

We have rent from Jack back in September. We go to Gatlinburg at least once a year, and Jack is the only person that we have chosen to rent again from. Jack is always available to answer question or emails. He is great to work with. The cabin is in such a convenient place. It is so beautiful, and large. We are getting ready to go again on Monday the 9th. And soon after plan are next trip back. Thanks Jack.

The cabin was wonderful. Lots of room, well laid out, plenty of room for everyone. The lower balcony with the hot tub is private. Nobody behind you. Jack was wonderful in answering my questions prior to our visit. We had no issues while there. I would recommend this property to anyone! The only downside for us was no mountain view, but loved the privacy! Thank you for an awesome visit!

I stayed here with my sister, her children, and my parents. From the time I began looking at the cabin, the owner was wonderfully friendly and helpful. When we got to the cabin, it was beautiful, with all of the comforts we wanted. The kids loved the pool, it was minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and there were plenty of fun things for the kids to do. I can't say enough good things about this cabin!

We had a great time in Jack's cabin. The cabin was very spacious (4 adults & 3 teens & 2 kids under 10) and very clean. There were plenty of things to do in the cabin and surrounding area. Spent some days hiking in the Smokies' and some time @ Dollywood and other days in the covered pool on the property, as well as just hanging out in the hot tub and rockin' in the chairs on the deck. I would recommend this cabin and location to anyone. You can do just about anything your heart desires or nothing but relax, if you choose to. Thanks Jack!

The Journey is a delightful, roomy cabin! We especially enjoyed the porch swing, jacuzzi, hot tub, and air hockey. This was our third vacation near Gatlinburg, and The Journey was by far the most conveniently located cabin we have rented. It was 5 minutes from Dollywood (which was wonderful!), 10 minutes from Walmart Super Center (awesome!), and had easy access to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the National Park. We appreciated working with Jack, and look forward to returning next year!

This cabin is beautiful, very clean and equipped with everything. It was very easy to find, close to shopping and restaurants, and only minutes to the National park. The pictures do not do it justice. Owner is very nice to work with. I would definitely recommend this rental property to family and friends.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful! We just spent our Christmas there, and we just loved it. The cabin is quite spacious, so there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have privacy, but the large living areas provided space for togetherness as well. The complex is conveniently located, yet away from the noise of the main streets. The value for the money was exceptional! We would definitely stay at The Journey again!!

Just returned from a weekend at "The Journey". The cabin was even nicer than we expected and was very well equipped. We are already planning on renting this cabin again next year. Mr. Foster was very quick to respond to any emails or phone calls when making my reservations and VRBO is definitely the way to go.

Jack was extremely easy to work with and to contact. He called a few hours after I contacted him by e-mail. He was exceptionally concerned that everything was in top notch condition and was happy to accommodate our special requests. With only 3 steps to enter the cabin and the master bedroom on the main floor you were able to totally avoid stairs unless you wanted to relax in the hot tub or play games downstairs. The cabin was roomy and the kids were content to stay at the cabin playing pool, video games and air hockey during the rain. It was well appointed and slept 8 adults very comfortably. The dining table sat 8 and there was comfortable seating in the living area for 4 on the main level. The kitchen was equipped to cook simple meals. You may need to bring specialty pans for baking. Due to insurance regulations there were ice trays rather than an ice maker. The 2 bedrooms with baths were totally private and had televisions. Access to the bathroom on the lower level for the 2 bedrooms without televisions was through the recreation room. Movie channels were available on all 4 televisions. The hot water took some time to reheat. The water in the cabin, as well as all properties in Hidden Springs, was treated well water. The Hidden Springs indoor community pool was nice and easily accessible from the Journey cabin but the water was a little too cool for swimming during our stay. Boo Boo Way was a very steep paved road. There was ample room for our 4 vehicles in the paved parking area in front of the cabin. You would have a hard time finding an area as private and as convenient to Pigeon Forge as the Journey cabin. The rent on this cabin was an outstanding value when compared to similar properties. We were very satisfied with the cabin. When we return to Pigeon Forge we will rent it again.

This cabin was just beautiful. We absolutely loved it. There was plenty of room for everyone. From the pool table to air hockey or the hot tub, there was lots of things to keep us occupied. We spent our Thanksgiving here and we all had a wonderful vacation. The kids loved the indoor pool as well. We had 4 families in the cabin and still had plenty of room. We will definitely be coming back to the Journey to stay again. Thanks Jack for being so wonderful to work with.

My family and I enjoyed so much our stay at the Journey. Just as noted by former guest, you can hear the train at Dollywood at the Journey. The grandchildren and I enjoyed our time at the pool. The "cabin" was very clean and well maintained. My little 3 year grandson loved his "new house" and the stairs didn't slow him down one bit. Our family included from 3 to 63 and everyone enjoyed tubing, Dollywood, Ober Gatlinburg, go-carts and SHOPPING. Nascar would have been great if our 3 yr old had been a little taller. The Journey was so convenient to Dollywood that we could play a while then take Grandpa home for a nap and play some more. Thank you Jack for the help on Sunday afternoon with the address (I forgot to print out the directions). Flo

This is a beautiful home. We enjoyed the game room with the pool table. Enough room for everyone to have their space, watching tv up stairs or in the hot tub while kids play down stairs. Would recommend if your planning a trip to the area. We went to rafting the smokies, wonderworks (great) , hiked to laurel falls in cades cove. Plenty to do all around. Over all great time and lovely home to stay in. Thanks Gail A Mobile, Ala

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! The cabin was absolutely lovely, huge and very clean. Our kids loved the game tables and hot tub...it was also nice that everyone got their own room. So close to everything, yet very secluded feeling when you are out on the deck. Some "must sees": Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, Apple Barn/Restaurant, NASCAR Speed Track, Aquarium, Cades Cove, The Peddler Restaurant (Gatlinburg). We go every year and this is by far the nicest cabin we have stayed in...we will be back!

We had a group of 10 people and there was more than enough room for everyone. Our 2 grandchildren loved it also. We had a 5 hour drive home and about 45 min from home my 2 yr old grandson announced he was ready to go back to the cabin.

12/18 - 12/21 The Journey was a great place to relax and have fun. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a great visit. The main floor had everything for my father in- law and step mother in-law so they didn't have to climb the steps. And the game room was great for my daughter. We enjoyed the hot tub and convient location to all the restaurant and attractions. We go to Pigeon Forge at least once a year and rent a cabin. This was by far one of the best we have stayed at. I would highly recommend The Journey. Thank you for the opportunity to stay with you. Jeanne
