My husband and I and our two dogs just got back from our trip to Harbor Island and we loved it. The condo was just as described and very clean. I loved that we could bring our dogs with us. The only recommendation I have is to possibly add a comfy chair to the living room and a rug. Not that you really want to spend a lot of time in front of the tv when you're at the beach -but it would be nice if the living room was a little more comfortable. Karen was extremely helpful and responsive in booking the condo - thank you Karen! We definitely plan to come back in the near future. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We got to watch a mama bird feed her baby each morning in the tree beside the porch, and were blessed to see a mama loggerhead come onto the beach to lay her nest. Thanks so much for a great place to stay! PS - we would have loved to use the bikes, but one of the tires was busted :(

Owner response:Thanks Millie. So glad you enjoyed your stay. We're searching for a comfy sleeper sofa to replace the futon. I hesitate to put a rug in the LR because it gets faded out in a few months, and because of the sweet little puppies that visit. One makes a little “mistake” and viola!, all the others follow suit. Thanks so much for the head's up about the tire. We are fixing that now. When you return, please feel free to let us know if that happens again and we will come right over to fix it or if you prefer to buy a new tire, we'd be happy to reimburse you.

The listing description and pictures were right on! Karen was extremely helpful. The view was terrific and the beach was quite. The high point was being able to bring our dog. I had read many reviews and many of them said that this is not a party place--this is a place where you can go to get peace, and again it is very true. Thank you for a peaceful trip. We had a WONDERFUL time staying on Harbor Island for the weekend!!! We were very excited to be able to bring our dog!! He just loved swimming in the ocean!!! Going to the top of the lighthouse was very cool!!! We had lunch at Johnson Creek Tavern and it was very yummy!!! I loved how they allowed pets on the deck & they would bring them a bowl of water! Very nice!!! The condo was perfect for us!! It had a GREAT view!!!! Can't wait until next time!!!!! :)

February is a wonderful time to stay on Harbor Island. We, and this includes the Dougy the dog, enjoyed walking the beaches daily. Hunting Island State Park is a fascinating place with lots of hikes. The condo was perfect for the 3 of us. If there is a negative comment it would be the closets were filled and the kitchen facuet needs updating. We certainly recommend a stay here.

By far the best experience we have had with a vacation rental. Karen was so helpful. The location of the condo is perfect, and the Harbor Island Community is quiet, unassuming and exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen has way more equipment than we need on vacation! The unit was spotlessly clean and there was no evidence at all of prior pet visitors (I am quite allergic to dogs). Linen supply was excellent. The beach at Harbor Island is totally amazing; high tide, low tide, always something glorious to see. We made good use of the Hunting Island pass. It too, is a gorgeous place to visit. The only downside, and there isn't anything to be done about it is that the people directly under the unit smoke on their porch. When we'd hear their sliding door open, we would know to stay off the screened porch until they went back inside. What a nasty habit. We would definitely recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway in a fantastic location.

My niece and I rented the condo the last week in September and throughly enjoyed ourselves. The condo was bigger than anticipated and the extra 1/2 bath was a welcome addition. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed eating in as well as trying restaurants in the local area. We would love to return. The condo was just as pictured except better. The view was outstanding. Thanks again for the great place to stay.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this villa for a summer getaway to the beach. We had never been to Harbor Island before and found it to be beautiful, quiet and serene. The condo was supplied with everything we needed and it had a lovely view of the pool and ocean. We loved having the use of 2 pools as well as easy access to the ocean. We really appreciated that we were able to bring our dog with us as well. We were thrilled to be able to see a baby turtle make its way from the nest to the ocean during our stay, and we loved eating at the Shrimp Shack. We were unable to find the guest book or Polaroid, and had some minor difficulties with getting the TV to work, but found the owner and manager to be very helpful with that issue. They responded very quickly which was great. We hope to return in the future!

My 21 year old daughter and I just returned from our first stay at Harbor Island and loved it! The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Our dog Molly was comfortable and happy. We spent 5 days on beautiful Harbor Island and had a great time. The condo was exactly as described. It was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. Everyone we met at the complex was very friendly and helpful. We loved the beach and surrounding areas. It would be nice to have some of the menus for local restaurant, Boondocks, The Shrimp Shack (our favorite) Johnson Creek Tavern. And also adding instructions for connecting to the Internet and where the trash dumpster is would be helpful. Also our dog loved sitting on the back porch and walking and playing on the beach!

I visited right after you left and replaced our guest book, containing local menus, things to do, etc. with a brand new one. I had taken it out of the condo because it was such an eyesore, but rest assured, it's back. I'm sorry it wasn't there during your visit. Regarding Internet connection, it had been our experience that when we clicked on Internet Explorer, it came right up. If that didn't happen for you, please let us know and we'll post instructions on the modem. I also agree with adding the location of the dumpster to the guest book, because when I went out to use it while I was there during the Thanksgiving holiday, they had moved it! I'll add that info ASAP. Thanks again for taking the time to let us know how we can improve our renter's experience. I hope you'll be back!

The view from this condo is one of the best for its location in from the beach. We watched sunrise every morning while we enjoyed our coffee. Every meal was eaten on the porch overlooking the small pool and the ocean. When we were leaving, my wife froze just looking out at the water one last time. It was very peaceful and relaxing. ust arrived back from Harbor Island last week from a 5 night stay in L206. WOW!! Everything was a described on the website and by Karen. We loved the peace and quiet and our 13 year old Shih Tzu was comfortable and not anxious as he usually is when in a strange place. Thanks for allowing him to be part of our vacation. Unit was clean and everything was provided as stated. No complaints at all about the unit. My fav place was the screened deck as the weather was perfect anytime to be there and enjoy. Thanks for the pass to Hunting Island it is also a beautiful place. I guess I didn't do my homework before we arrived and saw there were no grocery stores close to the island. Maybe a mention in the paperwork you send to the renters would be helpful. All in all a great place and we felt extra safe. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Will definitely recommend!! Our stay in L206 was a great one. It was nicely equipped and had the beach chairs and boogie boards which allowed us to bring less with us. We did bring our two smallest members of the family. It was their first trip to the beach and it allowed all of us to enjoy the weekend that much more. Pet friendly was great for us. Good location and very clean so we will be back in the future!

Our recent stay at L206 was great. The place is very clean and the position of the unit within the complex convenient. The corner porch with fan was nice. Even on a near 100 degree day, we were able to sit outside with the breeze. The bed was comfortable and view of the ocean from porch and kitchen was nice. We made use of the two bikes to ride to the state park. It was great not to have to rent or bring our own. Hunting Island is beautiful! The pools were convenient but too warm. We realized on our last day the pool at the club was bigger and therefore water cooler and wished we would have made the walk earlier in our stay. But the convenience of the other two pools is great. Suggestions for the unit: Baskets on bikes, and a roll up shade on porch to block sunrise. We love sitting outside for morning coffee but were unable due to the bright sun.We visited a lot of restaurants on our stay that we would recommend - JC Tavern was OK, good food and nice location to the condo. Shrimp Shack for lunch was great tho I thought the crab cake was better than the shrimp burger. Groupers was good and the two places in Beaufort we highly recommend are Plums and Saltus River Grill. Overall it was a great trip and we plan to go back!

This is a great place to stay if you want to be out of city hustle and bustle, but still close enough to go into city and shop and sightsee. The beach is beautiful and the condo was very nice.Whenever i go on vacation again this will be my first choice.

In our quest for the "perfect" beach spot, the family has tried several long weekends and our conclusions: Fripp and Kiawah-Too snooty, Myrtle-too seedy, Isle of Palms and Folly-Too CROWDED, Harbor Island-Perfect! We watched the sun rise over the ocean from the balcony, and we were inspired. We walked a few steps to the pool, and a few more to the beach, where on a Saturday at 12 noon there were maybe another 16 people ON THE ENTIRE BEACH! We used the Hunting Island Pass on Sunday and marveled at the beauty and nature that was untouched and unspoiled. We all decompressed at the silence that we heard from the balcony, something that has dissappeared from most beach communities. We even watched bunnies eat the flowers from the balacony! We were always greeted with smiles and warmth, either from the locals or other renters, and we have never felt more welcome. The condo is simple, yet elegant. The local restaurants are amazing, and slightly overpriced, however, well worth the experience. (The cajun blacked grouper at BOONDOCKS is the best the I have ever had.) Our first concern in our quest was that the condo was "pet friendly." However, there was no smell or odor of any kind (the condo was spotless upon arrival) and had there not been raves from other renters with pets, we would not have known that pets had ever stayed there. In short, if you are going to go to a beach in South Carolina, Harbor Island and condo L-206 are simply the best value for your soul. Period.

Condo was great! Perfect location to relax all day. This vacation was one to remember as my girlfriend said YES on Hunting Island and is now my fiancee! The condo is stacked full of kitchen utensils and the two bikes allowed for a relaxing bike ride one morning.

We had the most wonderful time at Harbor Island. Our little 4.5 lb rescue dog, Minnie, enjoyed the beach, great people and had the time of her life chasing birds, greating children and playing in the waters edge. After passing a wonderful week at Harbor Island,we - family with two daughters from Mainz in Germany- are very grateful, having had the luck to find the offer in the internet and having had the opportunity to stay there. The condo was well equipped, with a fantastic view on the dunes and the sea. The beach is also outstanding, offering lots of space and sufficient opportunity to observe wildlife. And the whole area, starting with Huntig Island, offers a lot of opportunities for tours (Beaufort, ACE-Bassin, Charleston, Savannah. For us it was almost like one week in paradise.

Thanks for the rental of your condo. The view was great, location to the pools, ocean, parking lot and doggie walks was good. Thanks you for letting us bring Molly, and also not having to stay the whole week since we couldn't be gone from home that long. Loved eating at Boondock's and Johnson's Tavern. The passes to the state park with the lighthouse was the cherry on top of a very relaxing vacation.

This has been a wonderful vacation and a fantastic place to stay. We fixed gourmet seafood dinners every night in the condo. Gay Fish Co. is right down the street. I found the first turtle nest of the year walking the beach before dawn. We also walked the beach under the full moon. Hunting Island is the most beautiful beach on the East Coast. Enen Memorial Day weekend was quiet. Ellie the Jack Russell and I went fishing and crabbin' every day. All of the people we met on Harbor Island were very friendly and informative. Karen Mazza was so helpful and friendly in all of our needs in preparing for this vacation. One of our best!

We had a great time and loved Harbor Island and especially L206 condo. We enjoyed the beach, watching the sunrise from the screened porch, and long walks. Also, thanks so much for including the pass for Hunting Island. This was our first trip with our Shih Tzu, Molly, and she loved it and we loved being able to bring her. I felt totally safe leaving her in the condo when we went to eat. This was a small condo that would be great for a couple to get away. The place was amazing....a little piece of heaven. At first it seemed far away from everything but after a few days it was what our family really appreciated most. The island is just so clean and safe. Our dogs came with us and loved to run on the beach and swim in the ocean. Very lovely little piece of South Carolina.

The condo was great! Even with the rain it was still a great escape from the snow! We laughed at all the locals wearing long pants, coats, hats and even gloves, while we ran around in shorts and t-shirts! The beach was wonderful, and the few people we encountered were so nice! Hunting Island was fun, we road our bikes from the condo. We found lots of beautiful shells and several sand dollars. Beaufort was beautiful with all the swings! We are hoping to come back next year and bring the rest of the family!

We LOVED the condo!! This was the most fantastic vacation that we have been on! Everything surrounding Harbor Island was beautiful! We were both impressed by how clean the condo was. The dog didn't like the slippery floors, but she got over it :) A couple suggestions: 1. Perhaps a bigger coffee pot, 2. I think the toaster has lived it's full life. We had some issues with it not working very well. Other than that, everything was FANTASTIC!! Hopefully we will be able to come back! Thanks again!

We just returned home from a week's stay in L206 and agree it was one of our best vacations ever. The condo was perfect in every way. We have looked for a long time for a destination not too far removed from TN and we have found it at Harbor Island. We intend to return often and will always book L206. The staff we met at the front gate was extraordinarily friendly, particularly Antoinette. She certainly deserves a pat on the back for her outstanding friendliness.

We enjoyed the close proximity to a clean, uncrowded beach. We went to the nearby Hunting Island State Park every day and appreciated the complimentary pass provided. The condo was suitable for us and our dog. It was very clean and neat when we arrived and it wasn't hard to return it to that condition when we left. I would suggest adding a dust buster to your inventory to help get the sand and pet hair off the couch. I was glad I brought a lint roller as well as the other items you suggested.

We were absolutely delighted with our visit to L206 at Harbor Island. The condo is decorated beautifully and best of all is the fact that our little Molly, a miniature Dachshund, was so welcome! We all enjoyed walks on the beach, reading and relaxing on the balcony and of course eating great seafood. We also made use of the pass to Hunting Island State Park for two excursions. We had a spectacular time on our honeymoon at Harbor Island. The visit was so relaxing, beautiful, and mostly peaceful. I was very impressed with the villa and the amenities. I enjoyed eatting seafood, early morning walks on the beach, and visiting Hunting Island. Our dog, Autumn, was the happiest of all running on the beach.Thank you!

We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay on Harbor Island. We also had the best view of all the units because we could gaze at the beach AND watch our son swim in the pool at the same time! We absolute loved the unit because it was clean, tastefully decorated, and very well-equippped. Across BeachHouse Villas was the Harbor Island Beach & Tennis club where we could buy a newspaper and snacks, eat lunch, play tennis, and work out in their very well-equipped gym. If you like uncrowded beaches, taking long walks (or jogging) with your dog along the beach, and no traffic congestion, this is the place to stay! Quoting our son, it was like "having the whole island to ourselves!"

We enjoyed and appreciated the beautiful and relaxing condo and were in awe of Harbor Island. It is the most amazing place and the best kept secret for vacationers looking for nothing but relaxation! We loved the screened-in porch and the view of the ocean. 2 late evening storms were so peaceful while sitting on that porch. Thank you for allowing pets. Our miniature schnauzer, Amstel, was able to go along with us and we appreciate that so much. You've obviously catered to your guests by providing all of the essentials and then some! We were told to bring coffee filters but there were already some there. On a scale of 1 to 10, L206 AND Harbor Island is a 20+!! It was a vacation we will never forget and a destination we hope to visit for years to come. Thank you for your hospitality.

The view from the screened in deck was awesome. The condo layout and convenience of everything was perfect. Thank you so much for letting us bring our dog. He just loved being with us. The bed was very comfortable and our daughter said the sofa/futon was very comfortable. We are definitely going to try to go again next year.
