We were really looking forward to our second visit to your lovely home in the Venetian Bay resort and we were not disappointed. Everything was just as we remembered it. The resort is well maintained and feels secure and safe. The home was clean and inviting. Our kids enjoyed having TV in each bedroom. Appreciated having a washer so that we did not need to bring so many clothes with us! We got to visit the theme parks that we missed last time and it was great to see some sunshine. We had a wonderful week - thank you!

We enjoyed out stay this week at your townhouse. This was our first family trip to Disney and we loved it. it was very hot this week - upper 80's & humid so it was so nice to be able to come back to the townhouse each day for some downtime at the pool & cook dinner before returning to the parks to finish visiting what we missed in the day when it was so hot. My husband & son also got to fit in a Detroit Tigers gane vs Atlanta Braves during spring training. Go TIGERS! And we visited Cocoa Beach & Daytona Beach which was a great experience for our kids who have never been to the ocean before. Thanks again. Our stay was less than optimal! There were a clogged bathtub, broken fan, uncomfortable and noisy beds & pillows, noisy neighbors, and dirty oven accessories to name a few. Developed a rash sleeping there --could there be a insect issue??? Would not recommend to anyone! Good luck!! John & Ellie

Owner response:I am disappointed that you did not find the facilities maintained to our usual high standards. Our other guest comments show that this is not normally the case. We point out very clearly in our pre-check in documentation and in notices in the home, that if you discover any problems you should report them to us right away. We can then send someone to rectify the issue immediately. Unfortunately you did not report anything until several days after you had checked out. As a result we did not have the opportunity to resolve any of your complaints. The "noisy beds" that you refer to are a result of mattress & pillow protectors that are fitted for hygiene & allergy protection purposes. I will however look into fitting mattress toppers ("egg crates") to make them less obtrusive. Thanks for your feedback on this. The guests before you had stayed for a month & have already booked again for next year, so I am confident that your experience was not a representative one.

Happy New Year!! Thank you Chris & Graham for another wonderful stay in your home. A little different coming in December (last visit March 2008) but the weather was great except for the 2 days of your "arctic blast" (felt like home:)) Two days at Universal to see Harry Potter was totally aweseome. A bit of a drive to Siesta Key beach (best beach ever!) & not to mention lots of great deals shopping. We love Venetian Bay Village & will plan to come again in the near future. - I have 2 kids. I was able to give each of them their own bedroom and my wife and I had the third bedroom. The master bedroom is downstairs while the kids bedrooms are upstairs. I could hear just about every footfall upstairs while downstairs. Fortunately, I go to sleep after my kids and get up before they do, so it wasn’t that big of an issue. - The appliances were functional. Washer and Dryer came in handy for doing laundry every other day. - Orlando is a pretty easy city to navigate and the townhouse is fairly close to everything. The path each morning was exit the complex, turn left, turn right at the signal and then follow the signs to wherever you want to go. - The pool at the complex is nice, the gym is certainly good for a vacation place. The “arcade” is nothing special- air hockey and pool were both good, the other video games weren’t. - There are books and games left behind from previous visitors, so check the closets and cabinets. We left behind Bingo. - There is internet, and it is pretty fast, but it is wired and not wireless (I know, #firstworldproblems). Because we had 3 laptops, all of whom wanted to check e-mail and go online at the same time, I brought my wireless router from home. - Not too many cable channels, but you can at least get local news and weather. Once again, you shouldn't be to reliant on cable while on vacation. After staying at Christine’s townhouse for 7 days, we went to the Nick hotel for 2. My wife and I agreed that we would have gone crazy living in a hotel room for all 9 days of our trip. And the townhouse for 7 days was cheaper than the Nick Hotel for 2 days. No Pets and No Smoking. There are permenant residents in the complex, who were generally friendly. Thanks, Chris

Great base for the theme parks

We rented the property for the first week of a two week holiday, the latter spent relaxing on the beach. For the first week we knew we would spend the vast majority of our time in the theme and water parks around Orlando but we wanted a convenient base offsite from the parks themselves area that would give us a spacious base for a family of five and allow us to ‘eat in’ rather than be forced to rely on restaurants for every meal. The house was ideal for that with convenient parking and a very large (and cheap) WallMart nearby. So an ideal solution for those looking for a good value family accommodation.

For us, 55+ couple, it's not the right place to be. The house is too big, to much space is unused. There is no bar at the resort where people can meet, greet and have a drink. Therefore I give you a 4 (good).

This condo was everything we hoped it would be! It is clean, quiet, and cool (central a/c works great) and only a few steps from the pool. We had our grandchildren with us and they had a ball in that pool. The pool was a little too warm at 88 degrees, but there are jet streams of cool water shooting across the middle of the pool that are very refreshing. After a long day at Disney, this home was a welcome retreat. It is near many good restaurants if you don't feel like cooking. The king-size bed is a nice touch.. a little on the hard side, but comfortable. We missed having a deck to sit out on. Thank-you, Chris, for renting your home to us and also for keeping in touch with us before, during and after our vacation. We would definitely stay here again while in Florida.

Graham & Chris, we absolutely LOVED staying at your condo = it was wonderful! The neighbourhood / community is so peaceful and safe, and yet the gate security, welcoming & comforting at the same time, was great! Your home is tremendous = well-equipped, clean, attractive. Your home is well-located = so convenient to everything Kissimmee has to offer, and yet very serene and beautiful, so nice to 'come home' to! Security and maintenance staff were fantastic, the grounds are well-kept and pleasant. We think you might want to clarify the connection instructions for internet, because once we figured it out, the free internet access was much appreciated! (Using our cell phone connection for the first week was VERY expensive, not your fault!) A TV in the 3rd bedroom would be nice, too, but ... Overall, yes, we absolutely LOVED staying at your home, and we will absolutely recommend it! My motto = NEVER stay at a hotel again! All in all, it was wonderful

This property is excellent for a great home-away-from-home vacation! Three bedrooms / 2 full bathrooms on two levels with a private entrance, convenient parking area very close to the home, all the amenities you could want in a vacation home, kitchen with all necessary appliances and dinnerware, dining area easily accommodates 6 (or more!) for a sit-down meal, convenient in-suite laundry, all neutral yet attractive decor = absolutely wonderful! Property is in a lovely, well-maintained, quiet, secure community yet close enough to DisneyWorld, SeaWorld, Aquatica, Discovery Cove, and OldTown attractions, as well as more than enough shopping options = absolutely wonderful! Community and its clubhouse provides abundant leisure activities on-site, too (pool, hot tub, deck overlooking fountain pond, tennis court, exercise room, walking paths); wonderful for quiet, stress-free, relaxing days! Maintenance and security ensure that the grounds are beautifully manicured and peaceful = absolutely wonderful! The owners of this property take pride in their vacation home, and are very welcoming to their vacationing tenants - excellent communication = absolutely wonderful! Over all we were pleased with our accommodation Dec/Jan.for 1 month. We liked the 24 hr. security gate & although the unusual cool weather prevented us from any pool time, the facility looked great. The unit required some extra cleaning which did take place by maintenance people. We appreciated the free L.D. phone service & internet though better instructions would have been helpful as the Office was of no help. The location is good for all of the attractions & lots of good restaurants nearby on Hwy.192. Beall's at shopping centre was good shopping & close by, walking distance. Walmart - good but need car. Olde Town, Bob Evans, Macarone's at The Loop, Outback. Good walk-in medical clinic on #192 Fl. Hosp. Centra Care No one should miss Cirque de Soleil at Downtown Disney worth every dollar & free parking, also. Good family resort at Venetian Bay Village.

This was our first trip to Florida and staying here was ideal for the whole family. The pools, gym and games room meant there was always something for everyone to do and as the house was so well equipped and tidy it was better than being at home! What a great place. We came down for the Disney Marathon Weekend and found the location perfect. The heated pool was a great touch for some New Englanders desperate for a pool, but...! The place is clean and well-stocked with everything you need. Everything seems new and staff on-site were easy to work with. Convenient to Disney and wonderful to come home to. We'll be back!!

We have been to Orlando many times and always stayed in hotels. Our previous trip was on the Disney grounds. While there are perks for staying at Disney if you intend on visiting the parks, staying at your place offered so many more. It was so peaceful. We were able to escape the crowds, relax in the pool and even though it is nice to eat out when on vacation, it was nice to have some home cooked meals too. The entire village is very well kept. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to have the opportunity to stay again.

We had a wonderful time staying at your place. Everything was set up great. The community grounds were awesome with the pool, playgrounds, and game room. We spent the weekend at Epcot. It was nice to come "home" and relax and eat a good meal without having to joustle for positon like in a hotel. The kids loved the stuffed animals and enjoyed having their own room. What a wonderful place you have - it truly felt like home! Everything was perfect. Ten days in sunny warm Florida! Spectacular!!! Things couldn't have been better. We visited Discovery Cove (and swam with the dolphins & manta rays), Sea World, Epcot, MGM, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Medieval Times and Cocoa Beach!! (Copied from guest book in home) We had a wonderful time. It was our children's first time to Disney ;-) We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We absolutely loved it. We hate to go home - Michigan - temps in the single digits and LOTS of snow. When we left we had already reached 91.8 inches but..... we miss our little dog Koda! Yes, after "Brother Bear"! We hope to come back. Thanks! We made great memories P.S. Paul & Carole were great!

(Copied from guest book in home) We had a wonderful extended weekend away from the cold northeast. Temps were in the upper 70's every day! This home was a great place to return to each night after Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Disney. A highlight for all of us was Blue Man Group!

MY FRIEND AND I STAYED IN THIS LOVELY CONDO FOR 5 WEEKS AND THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE HEATED SWIMMING POOLS ARE GREAT THE LANDSCAPING WAS VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND IMAGINE FLOWERING SHRUBS IN JANUARY!!!! THE LOCATION IS CONVENIENT TO EVERYTHING. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!! A GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY!!!

(Copied from guest book in home) Chris & Graham! We really enjoyed our stay 12/27/07 - 2/01/08 We loved the weather. Not like back in Wis. Yesterday with wind chill 40 below zero if you can comprehend that!! We did a lot of fun things. Liked you sharing your condo with us. We have & are taking many good memories back to Wis. Anxious to get home, but also wish we could stay. We have a 23 hour drive ahead so we will be happy when that's over! Will tell our friends about your nice place. Once again - many thanks.
