My family stayed in the home for a weekend ski trip. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone and the location was perfect. The owner was a joy to work with and I would highly recommend this listing to anyone visiting the area. We hope to return and make this an annual family trip.

I am building a home in the Waynesville area and elected to utilize this property during a visit to the area to review progress on my home. Had a lovely time. Propped up my feet by the fire and enjoyed its ambience on a cold rainy night. The home was warm and cozy. I will return until my home is complete. Look forward to my next visit.

Not a good place to stay during the winter.
Not a good place to stay during the winter.
This property was basically comfortable until the temperatures reached below 40 degrees. The heating is heat pump which basically becomes useless at lower temperatures. We tried using the wood burning fireplace, but the chimney really needs a good cleaning. Even though we used a flashlight to make sure it was open, the room still had so much smoke that the smoke alarm went off. We also the noticed that the air filters had not been changed in a very long time. Most likely this place would be okay during the other seasons. In addition, we felt misled, because the owner advertised an apartment with the property. We told her that we would like to rent the apartment also even though there was just the two of us, because we have two small dogs. We didn't want to annoy other renters when we took them out. So, we paid extra to rent the apartment only to find out that there were two apartments underneath the house, and the other one did have renters.

Owner response: Not knowing the renter was having issues with the fireplace, I was unable to assist. The fireplace is well maintained and kept clean. The air filters are changed on a monthly basis. If the fireplace flue had been opened all the way, there would have been no smoke. The electric heat pump system works well and comfortably heats the house during winter months. It was suggested to this renter that it was unnecessary to rent the downstairs apartment for the purpose of not disturbing neighbors. This property allows dogs inside the dwelling. The renter chose to rent the apartment having this information. There was no misleading information given to the renter regarding this property.
This was our second visit to this wonderful home. It offers all the amenities listed and is just as pictured in the photographs. We love the large master bedroom with the sitting room. Also the sunroom and back decks give you great views of the lake and mountains. The bird feeder on the back deck has a constant variety of birds looking for their next meal. We are looking forward to a chance to come back to this relaxing home. It is close to Maggie Valley, Waynesville and Asheville.

My family had a reunion at this lovely home. There were 8 adults and two children and we utilized the apartment, as well. The space was perfect for us and the well stocked kitchen was our main gathering space. The porch and deck gave us beautiful views. The master bedroom was absolutely gorgeous! We all walked around the lake every day and loved every moment of our stay there.

We spent 4 nights at this lovely home and did not want to leave. The owner was there when we arrived and greeted us warmly. The house was clean and furnished as pictured. The back deck and sunroom were wonderful to relax in. They provided great views of the mountains and lake. The gourmet kitchen made eating in easy. We were really impressed with the master bedroom with its sitting area. The house is two blocks up from the lake which has a great walking path. We are already talking about when we can return for another stay.

My husband and I, along w/our adult children and 3 grandchildren recently stayed at this lovely home located at Lake Junaluska. We stayed 3 nights and hated to leave when our time was up. The location at the Lake was ideal, the kitchen was large and well-stocked; the home was clean and well-kept; the beds were comfortable and the sun rooms were an added bonus. We enjoyed it so much that we have already put our names on the list for next year--this time, for both the main house and the apartment.

Quiet and Relaxing Stay
Quiet and Relaxing Stay
We stayed two nights at this affordable, but fairly large apartment tucked into a residential neighborhood one short block from the lake. It easily accommodated our family and the kitchen was large enough to prepare meals without getting in each other's way. The kitchen was stocked with all that we needed. Evenings were quiet with only minimal noise heard from the house above the apartment. The walk to the activities at Junaluska was about 10 minutes. Overall, a great place to stay.

Great get away!!
Great get away!!
My husband, daughter, and I stayed in the downstairs apartment while attending the Annual Western NC UMC Conference. We loved it!!! It was a lovely apartment, had all the comforts of home, and very clean! Loved that all the linens were supplied and the kitchen was fully stocked. We had a TV in our bedroom, so our daughter could go to bed on the pull out sofa and we could stay up and watch TV without waking her. The walk to Stuart convention center is only about 15 minutes; it is a beautiful walk and very relaxing. Upon arrival the owner had the house open, windows open, and fans going. She then came and checked that everything was in order and supplied her phone number if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this listing to anyone that was visiting the area!!
