Our family of 6 had a great time at the lake house. The kids always had something to do and mom & dad had fun too. The house was very clean and had so many extras that we didn't expect. PS - we rented a boat from Dave, cheeper than the marina and he delivered it to the dock for us. Ask Debbie for more info.

Wonderful Family Thanksgiving!

Spent a wonderful Thanksgiving with 3 families and had lots of room. The lake is so beautiful and peaceful and the kids loved canoeing around it. The large room downstairs was perfect for all of the kids to hang out and play ping pong. The house is exactly as described and very well-maintained. The owners were easy to work with. Would love to come back and visit in the summer!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

The Great Family Escape!

What a beautiful place to stay in the mountains and a great place to leave it all behind. Being a whitewater kayaker, I frequent this area often and I never knew this gem was up here. Lake Nantahala is just a beautiful mountain lake. Whether you are tubing behind a boat or taking a peaceful morning or evening paddle, this lake is just a perfect place to visit. The house sits just above the lake so you get a great view overlooking the lake and it is just a short walk in you are right in the water. You could not ask for a better place. It had plenty of room for our large family and you never run out of things to do. Our family loves water activities so this was a week in heaven. If you do go out to see the surrounding attractions, the drive is not bad. Only about 20 minutes and you are right in the thick of the Nantahala Outdoor Center and Bryson City is only another 15 minutes north. But the best thing about this place is you really do not have to leave to enjoy yourself. With water skiing/tubing, kayaking and swimming - we always had plenty to do and just sitting on the dock admiring the beautiful view was just as enjoyable as the other activities. The homeowner was very hospitable. Not going through a rental agency, you get a more personal feel for the house. We spoke just before arriving and she basically said here is the key - enjoy our home & the lake and just lock up when you leave. It was really that simple. You cannot put a price tag on the family time we shared during our week here. It will always be something that I remember and I hope we are lucky enough to come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Thanks SOO much for making this cabin so amazing. It was clean, and had everything we needed. The lake. Oh, the gorgeous lake! We were all on it every single day of our stay. We tubed, canoed, and boated...The view was to die for! I made some of the best memories on this vacation, and I'm currently planning a 'Reunion Return'!! Definately perfect for teens! The space that this house has to offer makes sleeping any number of people a breeze. I LOVED IT!! Thanks so much for making this house avaliable! Definately planning to return in the future!

Wonderful and Spectacular Place to Stay

My family rented the cabin 7/30/10 - 8/6/2010. The cabin and property were wonderful. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities you could ever need (i.e. DirectTV with movie channels, chess/checkers, board games, ping pong, books, video games, floats, etc..etc.). The view was beautiful. We used the lake everyday. The water was very pretty and clear. We brought our boat up and I would definitely recommend bringing a boat up to explore the entire lake. The lake cabin has a great dock to tie up your boat. I can't wait to come back.

Amazing week at Lake Nantahala

We recently spent a week at the Brinker's Lake House. We had been to Lake Nantahala with our friends who have a cabin on the lake the past two summers, and already knew how much we loved the area. We wanted to bring our family this year and found the Brinker's Lake House on VRBO. Debbie was great to work with and had a turn key system for us to get in and out. The view is priceless and the house is very spacious and comfortable. The ten year old boys loved the chess and ping pong tables, and they insisted we have Ping Pong tournaments every night! I frequently heard them refer to the lake as "the pool" - that is how clean it is. The older girls enjoyed sunning, swimming, boating and just relaxing on the decks. David and I enjoyed exploring the lake in the canoe and cooking on the grill every night. The Brinker's house had everything we needed. Truly, we could have spent every day at the lake, and we were sure to enjoy rafting nearby, gem mining, zip lining and the fabulous little ice cream place, Party Time, in Andrews. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Maybe next year!

Bob and Debbie, We just returned home from a wonderful week at your beautiful home. Thank you so much! The house was perfect for our two families. The view, and the lake were fabulous. Unfortunately the fish were not biting, but we still enjoyed swimming, relaxing, and were able to rent a pontoon boat and cruise the lake. As we left town today, we stopped at Carolina Outfitters and went whitewater rafting on the Nantahala - wow, what a ride! We certainly hope to return next summer, please keep us on your list!! Lovely, spacious home. The porches are deep enough to allow for cozy reading in a huge rocker, even with the rain. The area is wild, beautiful, and quiet. The house is large and you can always find a quiet corner to hide out or join in the fun on the main level. Nice touches like extra toiletries in all the bathrooms and interesting books to explore. Great place, folks (but we're Bama fans!). Roll Tide.

A beautiful home with wonderful amenities. The great room and master bedroom provide panoramic views of the lake. Incredible sunset views while sitting on the deck overlooking Nantahala Lake and listening to Jimmy Buffet. Thanks for allowing us to share and enjoy your beautiful home.
