The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
People that stay at the cottage often tell me they felt comforted by the cottage, which I totally understand because my whole house has that same feeling. It is a feel good house. The gardens are mind blowing and the jacuzzi just adds to the comfort. I've created the space in a way I like to travel. The kitchenette makes it nice to get up and have breakfast in the garden and start your day in a relaxing way. The cottage is fresh and clean and contemporary. I only hear positive comments.

We stayed for four nights in September of 2010 and loved every minute. The place was spotless and we loved the decor. We enjoyed using the private patio space and hot tub and the bar-be-que and also appreciated Debra's dining recommendations. The kitchen meant we didn't have to eat out for all meals. The skylight in the bedroom was a nice addition. We would highly recommend this space to anyone who would appreciate a small, very reasonably priced, quiet, romantic, and private place to stay, a couple of blocks walk from the main street in Sedona and would definitely contact Debra again when we come back to Sedona.

What a beautiful experience my husband and I had staying at this rental in Sedona! The rental is bright, clean, and has everything you need for a perfect getaway. We stayed just two nights, to celebrate our anniversary, and upon arrival immediately felt transported to a relaxing peaceful state of mind. Highlights included the hot tub under the stars, two minute walk to restaurants, beautiful gardens, close proximity to hiking and mountain bike trails, and great suggestions for restaurants and spas from the owner. Did I mention seeing stars from bed through the skylights at night? Amazing! After our first night we began to plot our return to this great rental... I am certain we'll be back soon! This truly is a hidden gem!

A Cozy Spot

This is a very sweetly decorated, cozy space for 1 or 2. The skylights nudge you awake to start your day in the beautiful red rocks. It's in a great location, within a very quiet, Uptown Sedona neighborhood. The hot-tub is a bonus along with a beautiful garden and grill. We also enjoyed the local guidebooks and CD's provided. Suggestion for owner- the soft sheets and cozy towels are a wonderful touch. Finish the experience off with luxurious pillows. The fiber-fill flat ones currently available are not comfortable. Warning- The bed is VERY SOFT. If you need a firm mattress, this is not the place for you.
Owner response:Thank you so much for your comments. Although I have never had any complaints regarding the pillows I will get another set for a back up. I know that pillows are very personal, I often travel with my own. As far as the bed being too soft, I have sleep on it and I can't sleep on a soft bed and it wasn't a problem for me at all. This is the first comment about it being very soft that I have had and I have been booking it for 9 years. Again thank you for your comments, Debra

My husband and I came to Sedona to be outside and on the trails all day. This zen cottage was a perfect retreat to recover in at the end of the day. Clean and comfortable. Convenient. Condusive to relaxation, self exploration and meditation. The low price allowed us to spend our money on flights, car rentals, gourmet food and sight seeing.
Owner response:So glad you enjoyed it, come back and see us again, Debra

My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend in late December. The space is more like an attached apartment than a cottage, with a door separating the kitchen/dining room from the main house. However, you use a separate entrance and have your own parking spot, and everything feels very private. It's also kept very clean and in good shape, and the reservation process went extremely smoothly. Overall, I found it very comfortable and cozy for two people. There is a skylight over the bed which fills the rooms with light during the day, and the space is tastefully decorated and stocked with books, CDs, a small CD player, and other items. There is a front yard with nice landscaping and trees so you feel like you are "tucked away," though the location is only a few blocks from the main drag. At times I did wish that there was a bit more open space for lounging -- you can either sit at the dining room table or on the bed. We like to do yoga and meditation in the morning, and the tiled kitchen floor was the only space that worked for that kind of activity. The best part of our stay here was the well-heated jacuzzi, which is located outside but in a fenced area so you have lots of privacy. It was wonderfully luxurious to soak in it each night before bed, especially after our long day hikes. Overall, we were very pleased with this rental and highly recommend it for a romantic and budget-conscious getaway.
