Pepperdine University is only 8 minutes away, where you can utilize the campus for cardio hillside walking, track for running, absorbing the beauty of the chapel or partake in the arts at Smother’s Theater. Payson Library is also available if reading or research is part of the visit.
Activities include day visits to Coral Beach just done the hill; featuring beach walks, swimming, runs, body surfing, and, if you bring your own equipment: surfboarding or boogie boarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, volleyball, etc. Or, why not enjoy a stroll on the famous Surfrider Beach as you watch world class surfer’s ride the waves and then visit the Malibu Pier where you can walk, dine or fish on off the Pier. There are also vendors who lease equipment for kayaking, surfing, jet-skiing or boogie boarding.
You can also enjoy world famous Zuma Beach, just 10 minutes away. Kids can take summer surf camps and learn to surf or study the ocean.
Once in the home, you will be provided with the addresses of the public beaches on Malibu Road, Pacific Coast Highway and Broad Beach, so you can enter the beaches at these prime spots and walk along the sand where celebrities live as many call Malibu their home. At the top of the hill, you will find Malibu State Creek Park, which is part of the well-known Back-Bone Trail. Just 5 minutes away you can explore Malibu Escondido Falls, known as the highest waterfall in the Santa Monica Mountains, this multitiered, 150-foot cataract resides within an oak woodland. Relax at their small pool by the falls before beginning your nearly 2-mile return hike.
If you enjoy gym equipment, fitness classes or an indoor gym for basketball, The Agoura Calabasas Community Center is just 20 minutes away.
