There is a Rite Aide Drug store 1/2 block away that also sells liquor etc....
Everything you need is here......just bring your suitcase, park your car (you won't need it your entire stay....I promise) and get ready to experience all the music, food, culture, sports, museums, nightlife, etc.....that New Orleans has to offer.

We met our close friends for a weekend without the kids at this two bedroom two bath apartment in the garden district. The place was as advertised and everything worked well. Apartment was clean and well appointed. Lisa was very helpful all weekend long with ideas for us including getting us into a special restaurant that turned out to be a real hoot. The only weird thing was that the door man asked us to move our vehicle 6 inches even though it was well within the parking spot allotted to us, but Calvin was very nice and everyone was more perplexed than annoyed by this request. The streetcar can get you into all action pretty quickly although if you are in a hurry, I would take a cab. Since we were not in a hurry, we actually did lots of walking along St Charles. Brunch at Commanders Palace was great! Thanks for a great time Lisa!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This property is fabulous!! It is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The location is great. Wonderful selection of restaurants and bars in close proximity. I would highly recommend this property and plan to rent here again in the near future!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This very comfortable apartment seemed to be recently renovated and very clean. It was well appointed with plenty of towels, linens, cutlery, kitchen equipment, wifi access, TV and cable in every room, etc... We were in need of nothing! Beds were extremely comfortable and adorned with bright white linens. Apartment was in walking distance to plenty of restaurants, bars, grocery store and Magazine Street. And when we wanted to get to the French Quarter or Tulane/Audubon Park we just hopped on the $1.25 (exact change required) St. Charles streetcar which was right out the front door! The owners were fabulous and made EVERY attempt to assure that our stay in New Orleans was enjoyable. Their hospitality and kindness accommodated our every need. About the owner: We spend a lot of our free time in New Orleans. My wife was born and raised in New Orleans, as for me, I fell in love with New Orleans when I went to Graduate School at Tulane U.
Why the Owner Chose Garden District:
We bought this property because it is on historic St. Charles Ave. It is on the streetcar line, Mardi Gras parade route and walking distance to dozens of world class restaurants and bars. For example, Commander's Palace, Magazine St., etc... is only a 5 min. walk.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love the convenience of literally parking our car for our entire stay and using the streetcar, taxis or walking to get to Audubon Park/Zoo, Tulane/Loyola, the French Quarter, Superdome etc....
