Become a part of the Saugatuck community in this spacious home. The convenient in-town location is a great place to gather after a fun day spent exploring the area. Located just two blocks from the main downtown of Saugatuck and across the street from Willow Park and the Kalamazoo River, it’s easy for everyone in your group to branch out on their own.
Two separate wings of the house divide the five bedrooms, offering lots of privacy for various group arrangements. The east wing accommodates the master bedroom which has a Queen Bed as well as a 7' sofa. The second and third bedrooms each have a Double Bed. The full bath on this wing offers a tub/shower combination. The west wing has a bedroom with two Twin Beds and another with a Double Bed. The spacious full bath on this side has a Jacuzzi tub and separate stall shower.
The colorful vaulted living room with a gas fireplace and flat screen TV/DVD provides plenty of space to relax after a long day. The comfortable 8' couch provides another spot for someone to sleep. A separate dining area and game room offers comfortable seating for six with room to squeeze in a few more.
Not quite ready to come inside? The multi-level large wrap-around deck offers extra seating and two additional outdoor dining areas. Drop the blinds for some extra privacy and you have your own outdoor oasis.
The galley kitchen offers all your modern conveniences for preparing a meal to fuel your group for the day. The Weber gas grill on the deck is a welcome addition when dining al fresco.
Forget about your car at the end of the day as all shopping and dining is just a short stroll away. A short 5-7 minute drive will get you to immaculate Douglas Beach and world-famous Oval Beach. For the more adventurous, hop on the Chain Ferry just down the street (feet, strollers, bikes and dogs allowed). Climb the steps at Mount Baldhead for amazing views of the harbor or Lake Michigan. Continue on just a bit and you’re at the beach!

We are having a lovely time at this fabulous home. Every convenience and amenity that we could have wanted. Plenty of room and well- maintained. Comfortable beds and furniture. Linens are plentiful and in good condition. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Wonderful location! No problems or issues at all!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Love Blue Haven and Saugatuck! Our 2nd Annual Mom, Aunt, Cousin trip. Four of us / mother - daughter, sister - sister. Love the ... big bathtub, so relaxing! The trees are absolutely beautiful. Perfect little getaway. Very relaxing in this beautiful house. Love the ... large bathtub. Well equipped with everything you could need. Mermaid's had great steaks and we were able to sit outside. Porch was great to sit on and watch the world go by. Only suggestion is to leave instructions on how to turn on fireplace. Thank you for letting us use your home. Our family loved the Blue Haven and Saugatuck! It was the perfect place for my grandparents from Louisiana and my family from Indianapolis to spend time together. We really enjoyed the fireplace ... and the house's proximity to the town was perfect. Our stay was absolutely wonderful and we hate to leave, but we definitely anticipate another visit! About the owner: We're a family of six (plus one golden retriever) with deep roots in Michigan. We live in the Detroit metropolitan area, and break away to the beaches of Michigan every chance we get.
Why the Owner Chose Saugatuck:
We bought this vacation home because we love the west side of the state - and Saugatuck in particular, having visited many times over the years. An added bonus to Saugatuck is its location, equidistant to Detroit (where most of the family lives) and Chicago (where our oldest son now resides).
We have spent the past two years updating the house, creating a real family home. We love spending time there and hope you will too!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Blue-By-You is in a perfect location; town is just a short stroll - yet just far enough that you still have privacy at the height of the summer season. The blinds on the front deck allow for complete privacy as you relax on the spacious outdoor sitting area. Don't forget your camping hammock - you can hang it between the two large trees on the front lawn.
Five bedrooms, what a luxury - no more than two to a bedroom and you have plenty of room for 10.
Located just around the corner, the Chain Ferry is a great way to cross the river and get to the beach by foot -if you don't mind climbing a couple hundred steps and running down the sand dunes. If you prefer to drive, Douglas Beach and Oval Beach are only minutes away.
