The main house consists of three bedrooms and two full baths upstairs, with an additional bedroom and separate half-bath on the main level. Also on the main level are a large living room with big-screen TV, a large eat-in kitchen, an enclosed lanai area, and a separate laundry room in the garage. The living room and kitchen open to the enclosed lanai area - with its sliding rear doors that encompass the entire back wall, that when opened - completely open the rear of the house to the backyard and outdoors.
The lanai area also comes complete with a wet-bar and lighted disco-ball for those enchanted Hawaiian evenings that put you in the mood for dancing! There is an additional gathering room / bedroom in the rear cabana with a sofa-bed, and a bathroom with shower.
The true joy to this home, though, is its outdoor living. From the second you walk out into the backyard - you feel that you are entering into a different world, with its tropical sights and sounds. During the day enjoy hours of fun in the sun in your private, 20 by 45 foot crystal clear pool with diving board. Rinse off under a stone waterfall shower.
For lunch or dinner, just click on the professional outdoor gas grill and barbeque your favorite meals, which you will best enjoy eating atop the rear deck, located directly above the boat dock and water. Also, enjoy sipping cool tropical drinks created in the poolside cabana (nicknamed "the cave") complete with slate-flooring, wet-bar, tropical décor, and an additional balcony that sits atop the waterway. You will especially enjoy this waterside area at night, when the electrified palm trees and night-lights illuminate "the cave," bringing it to life, and transforming it into an entirely different, must-see oasis!
Shopping is less than a half-mile away at the end of the street and includes Costco, Safeway, Ross, Long's, etc. Restaurants include Roy's, Outback Steakhouse, and a local favorite "The Shack" - to name just a few - and all within walking distance. You can also catch the scuba-diving boats that are stationed at this marina shopping center. Also, a short drive around the corner takes you to Koko Marina Center with many more shops, restaurants, cinema, etc.
Activities include fishing in your own backyard off the deck and the private boat dock. Snorkeling at famous Hanauma Bay is less than two miles away, golfing at Hawaii Kai Golf Course is four miles away. For those wanting to hike - Koko Head and Diamond Head Craters are in the immediate vicinity, as well as the numerous trails that abound the area.
Maunalua Bay is directly at the other end of the street with its numerous water sports and activities. Nearby beaches include Sandy Beach for surfing/boogie boarding (seven minutes); picturesque Lanikai Beach (25 minutes) and Waikiki (10 minutes). Also worth noting are the Sealife Park (seven miles), Pearl Harbor (19 miles) and Honolulu International Airport (16 miles). |
