This apartment was perfect and close to everything (restaurants, metro, pharmacy, market)! Location was safe & we felt especially safe due to all the added security prior to entering the building. Apartment shown is true to photos displayed. I would definitely recommend this apartment to others & would stay here again! Thank you Jean-Claude for all your help prior to our arrival with the information packet you sent!

The apartment is quite, nice, clean and have everything we wanted. It's closer to metro, convenient store, grocery and Eiffel tower! We've had a very good stay and it's one of the best choices we made when we treval to France. Also like to mention, it's convenient to use the train(RER) and Metro to go back and forth between the airport (CDG) and the apartment...

We spent three days in Paris and enjoyed our holiday also because of the fantastic location (very well equipped apartment, walking distance from the Eiffel tower) and the polite and cooperative owner, who sent us, together with the keys of the apartment, a very clear brochure with helpful practical details, and also went as far as to take care of the parking of our car, which was a big concern of us. we are a family of four, two little children, and I strongly recommend this location to any family with children which, when being away from home, is looking for the comfort of its own home. I will surely come back and suggest this contact to any friend and acquaintance planning a trip to Paris!!!!

We spent 12 days in Paris and operated out of this well-situated apartment located close to the Eiffel Tower. It is roomy and nicely appointed so that we could sleep, relax, cook, watch TV and enjoy ourselves with ease and comfort. There are many restaurants and shops nearby as well as a Metro station and anything else you might need. It is a perfect center of operations for an extended Paris visit and dealing with the owner was a pleasure. He was very helpful in providing information etc. It was a great experience and I would certainly recommend it to family and friends. We are planning to come back. Thank you Jean-Claude.

We stayed in Jean-Claude's apt in the 15th and were extremely happy with the layout of the apt, location, and neighborhood. We felt we were staying in a local residential area, rather than a touristy one. The apt had all the conveniences, including a laptop for email access, which was very welcome since we didn't bring our own. Many restaurants in the neighborhood are quite good, and the metro and bus routes are convenient to all the major sights of Paris. We will stay here again!

I've decided to take up this place based on the large number of reviews, so I should contribute. Here is the summary: - convenient with buses/subwayes - good location to walk around and yes you can walk to the tower, talks a little while though. - very responsive owner - good size apartment - very quiet location - good kitchen facilities and a wonderful pastry shop near-by - and more If I were to be critical, the place was a little dusty, with some exposed sockets and broken items, you'll need to watch out what your little toddler/babies doing. But for the price I am grateful and thank you.

Good location. Monoprix is around the corner, several street markets are close by and also there is a boulangerie across the street. Very nice private garden/patio. Good size living room. Owner provided very good information about the area. We rented several apartments around Paris before but this one is the best.

We stayed at the apartment over the New Year period & we were so happy that we found this apartment. It was a home away from home, comfortable & quiet. The location was excellent. The metro was only a couple of minutes' walk & the supermarket & bakery were really handy. There was also a street market close by a couple of days a week. We could find everything we need in the apartment. Really loved the internet & free phone calls ! We could see the special light show from the kitchen window every night. The Eiffel Tower was Sparkled with spotlights to mark the 120th anniversary. It was magical ! Jean-Claude was really great. All correspondence were attended to promptly & he ensured we had a lovely stay at his apartment. We had a memorable stay & would definitely stay again next time we visit Paris. Would highly recommend this apartment to others.

We wanted to get back to you to let you know how much we enjoyed your apartment! That's the first time we've rented an apartment in Paris and it was perfect. We felt like real residents as we enjoyed the neighborhood and all it had to offer. The space couln't have been more comfortable to us. The washing machine was a real bonus for washing towels, etc. The view of the Eiffel Tower was an incredible treat, especially at night. When we return to Paris in the future, we'll hope to be able to enjoy your place again.

Fantastic Apartment! This apartment was ideal for our family visit to Paris! It was a home away from home - clean, comfortable, secure and in a great location. As promised the Metro, the Monoprix supermarket and the bakery (with fantastic pastries!!) were all very convenient. It was great to shop and cook for ourselves - it really helped to keep our costs down. We also appreciated the mod cons like the washing machine and particularly the laptop computer. Being able to check email, keep in contact with family and research the sights we visited each day was especially useful. Free phone calls back to Australia were also a great bonus!! Of course, the view of the iconic Eiffel Tower from the kitchen window was spectacular, particularly the night display when it lit up and "sparkled". The kids were captivated by the tower and could often be found just taking in and enjoying the view!! All contact with Jean Claude to arrange our stay was prompt and friendly and he ensured that everything was as we expected. The information pack he sent prior to our visit meant that our arrival was straight forward and set the scene for a most enjoyable stay. Based on our experience we would recommend this apartment to others and would definitively stay again when we next visit Paris. Merci Beaucoup!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about both Jean-Claude and his charming apartment. My husband and I just got back from a week in Paris and were so pleased with our decision to forego a hotel in favor of a more authentic Paris experience. Jean-Claude was so helpful from the beginning and has thought of everything a traveler might need and stocked the apartment well. Less than a two minute walk from the Metro, it was so easy to explore Paris and come home to "our" neighborhood at the end of the day. The bakery across the street is delicious! Don't hesitate! Book this apartment!

My 13 year old daughter and I stayed for 4 nights a few weeks ago. The location is perfect... close to all of the sights but in an area where you are with Parisians... not tourists. Location-perfect... a 2 minute walk to the underground... wonderful bakery across the street and a grocery store a short walk away The apartment-Lovely and secure. The bed is very comfortable...there is also a double pullout couch and a single. Kitchen is newer and has everything you need...bathroom is well equipped with a washing machine. There are not many clothes dryers in Paris unless the property is very new. This wasn't a problem...our clothes dried overnight and it was nice to pack light. The apartment has many books of Paris along with maps, dining ideas, etc... Jean-Claude thought of everything. There is a lovely view of the Eiffel tower from the kitchen window. I recommend this for anyone looking to experience the real Paris... not the touristy hotels. It was a perfect experience. We are hoping for a 2 week stay there next summer

The apartment was perfect for our family of 3. The location was very convenient and safe. We walked to the metro each morning, then were off to explore all of Paris and beyond, easily and efficiently. The bakery across the street provided us with fresh breads and pastries for breakfast and the store downstairs had everything else we needed for our stay. The apartment left us with no worries at all. The washer and the internet access were a real plus. It was wonderful to return "home" at the end of a long day of activies. This was our first visit to France and I must say it was even better than I anticipated in every day! Thank you for sharing your apartment with us.

There are so many positive thing to say about this very quiet, safe and charming apartment. Probably the convenience of the location stands out since it's close to metro and bus lines as well as the Eiffel Tower. What a treat to enjoy its nightly illuminations from the convenience of the kitchen window. The outstanding orientation package from Jean Claude Leon made our stay extremely easy including superb restaurant recommendations of Kim Anh & Le Cafe du Commerce along with our discovery of Gourmet Gourmand.

The convenience store, the Boulangerie across the street and steps from Metro! What more could we want. Plus your directions and recommendations were perfect. We went to 2 of the restaurants La Gitane & Giepetto and had great meals. All in all a fabulous trip and experience! Merci Beaucoup!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in this most charming and comfortable apartment from march 25-April 1, 2009. It was extremely convenient to metro and bus lines along with being very quiet and cozy. The neighborhood was delightful with boulangeries, chocolatiers, restaurants, etc. nearby to suit any taste. Since this was our first time to rent an apartment in a foreign country, we could not have asked for a more informative host than Jean Claude. The orientation package he sends you is so complete that we followed it to the letter and found our transition to a very friendly culture to be quite easy and natural. This trip was amazing as was the weather so we're very grateful for this experience.

This apartment is a perfect place to stay in Paris. It is only one block to the Metro and to the bus stop, and you can get anywhere in Paris quite easily. We didn't try the bike rental, but it is also available one block away. There is a small market right outside of the apartment building, a phenomenal bakery across the street, and a large supermarket one block away. The apartment is clean and well laid out. The apartment looks out over a courtyard instead of the street. It is so quiet, I can't imagine finding a quieter apartment anywhere in Paris. We slept quite well. Having free phone calls to the U.S. and a free laptop to use with internet service is an added bonus. The owner answered all of our e-mails immediately and was so helpful in planning our trip. It was as if we had our own personal tour guide for Paris. He sent a packet of information regarding the apartment and Paris and had everything we needed to know spelled out in detail. He gave us exact directions to get to the apartment which made our arrival very easy. The owner speaks perfect English and takes U.S. dollars in payment which makes travel planning simpler and less expensive. We can't recommend this apartment more. It isn't the Ritz, but for the price, you will be very happy!

The apartment was wonderful! I haven't had the time until now to write and tell you how very much we enjoyed the apartment! It was absolutely perfect. We both felt so "at home" and comfortable and appreciated things like the big closets, nice big bathroom, wonderful shower and the view out the kitchen window of La Tour Eiffel--well, does it get better than that? I can't imagine ever staying in a "touristy" area of Paris again. It was wonderful to escape the crowds and come "home" to St. Charles every day. We became such regulars at Relais Charbon that the waitress knew just how we take our coffee! The waitress at Gepetto's welcomed us back warmly our second time there and the lovely young couple who own Florina Restaurant were wonderful, too! The managers of the apartment complex were so helpful and kind. We will never forget their assistance when we needed them. We hope we can schedule another visit later in the year or the same time next year and will be in touch as soon as we have dates so that--hopefully--this gem will be available.

Dear Jean-Claude, I wanted to express my most sincere gratitude for renting us your wonderful apartment in Paris. It was so comfortable, cozy, spotless, and the location incomparable, we really felt at home in it. We truly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The view of the Eiffel Tower from the kitchen window is breathless, I still can´t get over it! It was so nice to be able to cook our own meals for our daughters and having the sofa bed in the living room made a world of difference since we were much more comfortable than cramped in a small hotel room. Also, thanks for the laptop computer in the master bedroom, it was really helpful and allowed us to check for weather, opening times at major sights, and keep in touch with our family back home. Next time we are in Paris, I will definetely contact you again to stay at your apartment. Again, thank you for everything. Staying at your apartment helped make our trip to Paris unforgettable. You could walk to the Eiffel Tower, restaurants, grocery store and metro conveniently. Seeing the Eiffel Tower each night was a highlight for me. This was my first trip abroad and to Paris. I couldn't stop walking. Around every corner seemed to be another piece of history to take in. C'est magnifique! I've been bitten by the French bug. Now I need to visit again to see more. Bonjour Jean-Claude: I want to tell you how much we enjoyed your lovely apartment. The separate rooms as well as the hallway and separate foyer give it the feeling of a much larger space. The large vanity in the larger bathroom was very much appreciated and so much better than the usual pedestal sink that is in so many Paris apartments and hotels. The beds were very comfortable, and everything we needed available in the apartment. It was also very nice of you to call to make sure that we arrived safely and to ask if the apartment was satisfactory. And let's not forget about the view of La Tour Eiffel! Several evenings when we came "home", we would turn the corner onto rue Saint Charles and the tower greeted us with sparkles. From the apartment kitchen window, it appears that the tower is only a block or two away and it was such a pleasure to look at it one last time before going to bed each night. The convenience of using the ADSL phone to make toll free calls to my husband each night was wonderful. Thank you. I will definitively be recommending your apartment to my friends.

Bon soir, Jean Claude. Back in Spokane, wishing I were back in Paris. It is strange that my one and only visit to Paris left me feeling like I belonged to Paris. I felt very much at home (except when I ran out of French!). Paris is a feast. Not once did I experience the supposed "coldness" of the Parisians. In no small measure, being able to go home at night, to your wonderful apartment, made the stay in Paris that much more home-like. When we arrived at your apartment, everything was as you had described it. Honesty. What a novel concept! I honestly did not think your description would match the reality. Thank you! Merci! Efharisto! I have already begun to look for flights to Paris. What a delicious thought. There is so much to do; Paris in one week is like a drop in the ocean. Honestly, my senses were overcome, my muscles were aching. But I want more of what I experienced...and then some more. It was great to meet you in Paris. Perhaps we can do that again...soon. Merci et à bientôt. Charlie

As a first timer in Paris, I wanted the experience of a local, when in Paris, do like the Parisians. This apartment is exactly what I wanted! Picture it. Waking up by the sunlight like a crescendo through wide sliding doors. Preparing a fresh cup of coffee just the way you like it. As you sip your coffee gazing outside the kitchen window, there you see the Eiffel tower. How do you say in French, c’était magnifique! Within walking distance of the Metro and the Monoprix, this apartment is conveniently located! And with all the comforts of home (even an electrical adapter) you will wonder why anyone would ever want to stay cramped in a hotel - if you're anything like my former self, and say, "fresh towels," you'll find that as well. This appartment is a must experience!

The apartment is beautifully furnished, maintained and in a perfect location. St. Charles street is like an old slice of Old Paris, with its small food shops and restaurants. On Tuesdays and Fridays, there is an open food market on the street. And if that is not enough, there is large grocery store two blocks away.

Hmm, stay in an "authentic" Paris hotel room -- a cramped shoebox -- or wake up to the sounds of birds chirping while staying in this super-clean, modern, convenient, and spacious one-bedroom apartment with a stunning view, from the kitchen, of the Eiffel Tower? As an added plus, the owner is perfectly bilingual!
