  We loved this cabin! It was beautiful and clean, with everything we needed. Location was perfect - we spent a day at North Star only 5 mins away, as well as a day at Diamond Peak, also close by. Cabin was also close to the casinos and a variety of restaurants. The cabin was stocked with a large amount of linens, towels, even dish towels. The owners we very communicative and easy to get a hold of when we couldn't get the fireplace on - which was fixed within 5 minutes of our arrival. The kids enjoyed the Apple TV (cable). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and we also used the bar-b-que. We will definitely come back to this cabin on a future visit.

  The location of the cabin is super close to the Beach. We also drove back over the hill to Truckee for the day. Highly recommend the Truckee Winery and Bocce Ball. The cabin itself is very cozy and cute. Updated appliances and fixtures. Loved the spa, however, it is located downstairs on the deck. It would have been nice to BBQ and hot tub on the same deck. The description of the cabin was accurate and we appreciated that the owners sent us an email beforehand to give us directions and details on the house. The property is SUPER CLEAN and nice. We brought our dog and she loved it! We will def be staying here again.

  Owner response: Thanks for the nice review, Lisa! All our other reviews are 5-star, and we work hard for that. If the reason for the loss of a star was because the barbecue is on a different deck than the spa, I wanted to provide an explanation. The barbecue is on the smaller north deck, right outside the dining room and adjacent to the kitchen. For the purposes of cooking and food logistics, that made more sense than placing it downstairs on the south deck, off the bedrooms where the spa is located. We also felt that the spa would be better enjoyed on the private, spacious and sunny south deck. I hope that makes sense!

  We had a mini family reunion in Tahoe and 7 of us stayed in the house including two kids under 10. The house was stocked with lots of towels and linens, everything needed to cook and serve meals, and even some board games for the evenings. We were all very comfortable in the house and can't wait to plan our next Tahoe trip.

  What a fabulous experience-from the friendly and helpful communication with the owners to the beautiful home itself. The photos are accurate but hardly reveal the functionality of the layout or the design elements that are so carefully chosen. The house was immaculately clean and well maintained. To say that you are close to the heart of Lake Tahoe and its surroundings would be putting it mildly. Beautiful trails for hiking are walking distance from the house and just a few blocks away are wonderful places the locals go to eat and enjoy time off the slopes. No snow while we were there but my family was together for Christmas and the setting could not have more perfect. I would highly recommend this property to anyone at any time of the year.

  We spent a week here this summer and had a great time. The house is located in a woodsy neighborhood with a very comfortable feel. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking big meals, and there were lots of extra linens and towels. The electronics set-up impressed my husband and our teenage nephew. You're minutes away from Northstar resort. We hiked from the Village at Northstar to Sawmill Lake and felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves. There are no mountain bikers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The house hot tub has amazing jets that massaged away our tired hiking, biking, and swimming muscles. There are jets for your feet and a corner seat with 8-10 (or more) jets that literally get your entire back! Kings Beach is minutes away. We took our kayaks and paddle board to the public beach across the street from Safeway. It has parking, a small sandy beach and grassy area to relax, and easy access to the lake - without all the crowds and jet ski noise. This house gives you amazing amenities in a beautiful location, and all for a really reasonable price.

  My family and in-laws recently stayed at this house and had a great time. It had everything you would need and was very comfortable. It's super close to the beach, Northstar, Safeway and everything else you might need. Would definitely stay here again!

  We just completed a 3 night stay at this wonderful home. This rental is close to skiing, snow parks,and the lake.The house is nicely appointed and has all of the comforts of home. The recent addition of Apple TV and the Netflix was really a plus for our grandson. The owners were wonderful to work with and are very organized and responsive to requests. Our entire family really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely plan on returning to this beautiful home.

  We've stayed here a number of times and it is our first pick when we are looking to rent a place in Tahoe. The place has everything you need and is great for a group of couples or families. The location is great for skiing and summer fun. Close to the lake and dining and in between two great ski resorts. The owners are easy to work with and very helpful. If you are looking for a memorable weekend toped off with a great place to stay - this is the place!!!!

  Just spent one week at your beautiful home. Everything was perfect. Traveling with a total of 6 people. There was enough privacy for everyone. It has the quality and amenities of a high class hotel. Centrally located to everything of interest in the area. Highly suggest to anyone. We will be sure to stay again when back in this area.

Cancellation policy:

OWNER AGREES TO: Provide a clean house, all utilities, local telephone service, all reasonable kitchen equipment, linens and towels. RENTER AGREES TO: Conserve water and electric wherever possible, leave the premises in the same order as found; use calling card for all long distance calls; return keys to OWNER/AGENT on departure and not to exceed the maximum people for sleeping accommodations provided. ANY parties, pets and smoking at the house are not permitted, and will lead to immediate eviction and forfeiture of remaining rents and deposit. The damage deposit will not be returned until the premises have been inspected following the RENTER’S departure. If more than the above-numbered people are found to occupy the premises, or excessive clean up is required additional charges for linens and maid service will be levied against the RENTER and deducted from the Damage Deposit. Such determination will be made at the discretion of the OWNER or Agent of OWNER. The Damage Deposit, plus reasonable costs of collection including attorney fees, will be withheld if necessary to collect the same. Any and all Guests of the RENTER will be the sole and exclusive responsibility of the RENTER. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, INDEMNITY AND WAIVER A. Limitation of Liability. The limit Scott Torgan (further referred to as OWNER) liability for any action related in any way to this Agreement for rental or to the services specified on the addendum(s) attached hereto shall be the full amount paid to OWNER by RENTER or its Guests related to this Agreement. B. Indemnity. RENTER agrees to indemnify and hold harmless OWNER from all costs, claims, liabilities, fees, attorney fees, and obligations (a) relating in any way to any act or omission of any person in or associated with the RENTER, (b) relating to any claim by any RENTER or Guest of RENTER, or any person associated, affiliated or related to any RENTER against OWNER, his employees, agents, or affiliates, except as to OWNER’S active negligence and intentional misconduct. OWNER agrees to indemnify and hold harmless RENTER from all costs, claims, liabilities, fees, attorney fees, and obligations related to harm caused by OWNER’S negligence or intentional misconduct. RENTER agrees to be expressly and solely responsible for any damage or injury caused or suffered by any RENTER or Guest of RENTER, or any person associated, affiliated, or related to any RENTER or Guest of RENTER. C. Waiver. RENTER agrees that neither OWNER nor its affiliates, nor their employees or agents, shall be liable for any damage, loss (including personal injury, death and property loss), inconvenience or expense occasioned by any act or omission of any supplier providing services, or of any other person, or by any Agent of OWNER, unless caused by the negligence of OWNER or his affiliates or his employees or agents in the contractual duty. No person other than a representative of OWNER, authorized by a document in writing, is permitted to vary, add or waive any term or condition in this Agreement, including any term or condition set forth in the preceding provisions. D. Acknowledgment of Risk. RENTER understands and agrees that there are many inherent risks and dangerous areas in and around a house, including, but not limited to hot tub (spa), decks, deck furniture, gas stove, gas grill, kitchen appliances, bathrooms, ice/snow/rain on driveway, walks, steps, deck, etc. and the use of such facilities and risky areas requires certain responsibility from the RENTER. RENTER acknowledges these risks, and agrees to explain these risks to its Guests and their families, and RENTER understands and agrees that such risks are not in OWNER’S control, and such risks are the sole responsibility of the RENTER during the rental period, and agrees that neither it nor its Guests will hold OWNER responsible for any harm, damage, death or injury relating to such risks. Cancellation Policy: When we confirm a reservation, the home is “off the market.” Therefore, we need to have a cancellation policy. Written (email or postal) cancellations received and acknowledged 14 days prior to rental will receive a full refund, minus the price of one night’s stay. Written cancellations received 7-13 days prior to rental will be charged 50% of the rental, or a minimum charge of the price of 2 night’s stay, whichever is greater. Cancellations received within 6 days of rental cannot be refunded
