The Squirrel's Nest is an oceanfront chalet located in Starfish Cove in Newport, Oregon. The chalet offers spectacular views of rolling surf and the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. There is a trail which leads down to a very quiet beach with literally miles of sand.

The chalet has just been completely remodeled and is situated in a very private location. This home truly is set in one of the finest locations on the Oregon Coast; you will not find a better view or more spectacular sunsets. Watch the whales migrate with the seasons from the back deck and enjoy morning coffee with the sea gulls. A 36 inch screen TV with cable, DVD player and VCR, a fully stocked kitchen, brand new bathroom with large tub and shower are but a few of the at home amenities you will find at the Squirrel's Nest.

There is also a brand new, queen-size sleeper sofa, and king-size pillow-top mattress along with a sectional sofa and lazy boy recliner for relaxing and wave watching.     • Beach combing is a favorite past time of both locals and visitors alike. The Yaquina Head Lighthouse is open daily and is the tallest lighthouse on the Oregon Coast. The park entrance is just a mile or so south. Take a bike ride along miles of sandy shores just out the back door and down the trail. The chalet is just minutes away from the Historic Bay Front which houses the Aquarium, Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe It Or Not, shops, restaurants and some of the finest galleries in Oregon. There are annual beer and wine festivals. You can also take a day fishing trip or go crabbing! Depoe Bay is located just 9 miles to the North and offers shopping and whale watching tours. Lincoln City is 23 miles north and offers shopping, restaurants, antique shops, and a casino. A sleeping loft with an amazingly comfortable, brand new, king-size bed offers panoramic views; fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves and the comforting flickering of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. The family dog is also welcome at the Squirrel's Nest; he or she is sure to enjoy long walks on the beach and a refreshing swim in the tide pools! The chalet has been decorated with a nautical theme throughout and is simply cute as a button! There are also laundry facilities available to those guests staying one or more weeks.
