    • We had a great vacation at Villa Rosy. The house is spacious and comfortable, secluded and private. The view over the valley is fantastic, the pool is delightful and we enjoyed taking all our meals on the lovely patio under the pergola - always comfortable even on the hottest days. There is no shortage of things to do in the area and the Tontis are friendly and admirable hosts; they come by nearly every day to look after the place but they don't get in the way.

    • Unica parola , meraviglioso. Giandomenico Mancinelli Francesca Fiorindo

    • How fun it is to arrive at a property you have selected based on photos, and have it much nicer than you had expected. The only downside to our visit (besides taking a few wrong turns) was the rain and we can't imagine why Corinna was unable to do anything about this. We didn't have an opportunity to use the pool, but the views more than made up for it. What a comfortable location to use as a base after making trips to Assisi, etc. We even used the well appointed kitchen to serve up some wonderful meals, but they could not top the great, affordable food we had in the area. All in all, a very positive experience for our family!! We'll work hard to afford the trip back sometime.

    • I wanted to second the comments posted by my mother. Villa Rosy is beautiful- the perfect location for a family vacation! The villa is beautiful, clean and well-appointed. The view is spectacular and you hear the church bells every morning. You are accessable to major roads but still in a private, secluded location. We hope to return someday!

    • Absolutely the best family vacation ever. It has been one year since our three week stay at villa Rosy. Our children and five grandsons still speak fondly about it and want to go back. The beauty of the umbrian valley, the olive grove, the the charm of the hill towns and the peace and spirituality are unsurpassed. Signore Paolo was most gracious and went out of his way to help us retrieve our lost luggage. The Italian people, the shopkeepers and restaurant workers were very helpful, generous and friendly. The grandsons (ages 9 to 18) especially enjoyed the pool after a hot day of sightseeing. Vlla Rosy exceed all of our expectations. It was beautiful, comfortable and well appointed.

    • Our famiy stayed at the Villa Rosy in late May 2007. The area is beautiful, and the setting of the building is very scenic - up a long driveway in the middle of olive groves. We stayed in both apartments, and they were both excellent. The owner, Paolo, was great - helpful at all times. He went "over and above" when helping me with rental car issues. I would highly recommend this destination.

    • Four of us(the space could easily accommodate 6-10) stayed at Villa Rosy in late May, 2006; it was a magical week. The views, the fresh produce, the wonderful kitchen and outdoor eating spots, the pool, the roses, and all the facilities. I cannot imagine a more wonderful spot to spend time with friends and/or family. Although we enjoyed all our hilltown day trips, we almost hated to leave Villa Rosy for them. Coming "home" was always a treat.

    • Thinking about traveling to Italy maybe to spend some time in the countryside? Well think no further than staying in Umbria—The Green Heart of Italy-- at the Villa Rosy near Assisi. Diane and I have traveled quite a bit in Italy, did Tuscany and loved it, but this time we spent a month in Umbria at Villa Rosy. What a wonderful experience we had, or as the Italians say, meraviglioso. And Umbria has the added advantage of great valleys and mountain overlooks. Villa Rosy is one of those stone constructed country homes that has all the amenities--except American TV. Situated among over a thousand olive and nut trees, it was truly a bit of heaven and away from chaotic cities, yetless than two miles from Assisi. Signore Paolo, the owner, made every effort to be hospitable even going so far as to treat us to bruschetta-- Umbrian style-- on hot wood coals, novella wine from the recent harvest, and showed us the way to really make Florentine steak, again on oak coals. All this and we even roasted chestnuts on a open fire. Not too bad eh?

    • Villa Rosy far exceeded our expectations! The Tonti family was more than helpful and hospitable. My son and his friends who were with us had great times running through the olive grove and up the mountain slope. We had some of our best meals made with the San Potente olive oil at the Villa. The view were gorgeous, especially the sunset! The only thing I would change about our visit--is to make it longer. We had a wonderful time and we are already planning our return visit and trying to get all our friends to come with us! Mille Grazie!!!
