Location: Charleston, Charleston Area, South Carolina, USA (Old Village of Mt. Pleasant; Beach- 1 mi; downtown-7 mi,) View Map
Accommodations: townhouse, 2 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)
EXCELLENT LOCATION
DIRECTLY ACROSS THE 3/4 MILE CAUSEWAY FROM SULLIVAN'S ISLAND PRISTINE BEACHES, IN BEAUTIFUL OLD VILLAGE MOUNT PLEASANT
This 2 bedroom, 1 and 2- ½ baths Townhouse is located in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant. 1500+ sq.ft. means each room is spacious, at least 1/3 larger than most.
Located less then 1 mile to Sullivan's Island Beach, 6 miles to Historic Charleston, 12 miles to the airport, 2 miles to Shem Creek’s famous seafood restaurants, 4 miles to the Yorktown at Patriot’s Point, and 1 mile to Pitt Street Bridge, this Townhouse offers one King size Bed in large master bedroom and one queen and a set of bunk beds in second bedroom, plus 2 pull-outs in LR. It is comfortably prepared for sleeping 4 adults and 2-4 children (+port-a-crib), or 7 adults.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all but your groceries and the large dining room seats 8-10 comfortably. The living area is large and comfy, arranged for family fun. A full laundry room is off of the living room. That room opens onto the back porch and backyard with grill and hammock. There is a covered front porch as well .
The charming vacation home is decorated in a tropical island/beach motif and is located on a quit cul-de-sac with no street traffic in one of Charleston’s top communities. We have access to beautiful pool and tennis facilities in the neighboring complex.
Walk 1 mile to Sullivan’s island’s gorgeous beach and fun pubs, or 1 mile the other direction to Old Pitt Street Bridge, a 1000-foot pier, is a favorite biking, walking, crabbing, fishing destination on the Intercoastal Waterway with incredible sunsets overlooking downtown Charleston. A full shopping center is less than 2 blocks walk. There are five top golf courses within 10 to 20 minutes drive and many more 30-45 minutes.
One of our best features is that we are located in a much lower traffic area than most of the Charleston Area. Mount Pleasant’s Old Village is accessible to downtown and beaches without entering the main traffic areas of Hwy 17 which have become a burden to our city. Directions will be direct and simple and involve few complicating factors. This can make a serious difference in your experience.
Linens are provided.
I prefer renting direct to guests, establishing a personal relationship which generally results in greater guest satisfaction. We live 2 miles away, which allows us to address any problems quicker than rental agencies.
(We do not provide paper goods, soaps, detergents, etc., beyond start-up.)
Fishing charters are: Aqua Safaris, Atlantic Offshore, Blue Boy Sport, Thunderstar Fishing ***
Bicycle Shop(rentals)

Why the Owner Chose Charleston
My parents own a large wonderful beachfront home that rents for $7500 a week I have managed for 10 years. My husband and I decided that it would be great for us to have a rental that would be a more affordable vacation here for people like us who couldn't spend that kind of money.
The Unique Benefits at this townhouse
We are truly in the best possible location for accessibility to all facets of vacationing in the Charleston area: lowest traffic area, safest area, beautiful area, easy directions to all locations from Myrtle Court, and just moments to everything. Outside of beachfront or South of Broad Luxury (with the price tag that must follow), we have the very best to offer.

I am Susan Player Verbsky, a wife and mother by God's Grace, a Psychotherapist by training, with a small practice here for 15 years, and a Real Estate investment and management specialist by design for the same time period. I enjoy the great intangible rewards of Therapy, and, equally, the tangible rewards of developing a property and working with people planning vacation time.

We've had a lovely mother and daughter here since Summer '04 who came for a visit and decided to stay a while. It is time for them to move on. We'll miss these dear friends, but look forward to meeting more.

Susan, I wanted to email you and let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your unit during the bridge run weekend. You have thought of everything and we appreciate the special touches. It turned out to be the perfect spot for a Bridge Run weekend. We walked to the start line from the unit and found out we had plenty of time to spare (enough to sleep in a good bit longer as compared to staying somewhere downtown). We caught the bus afterwards and they dropped us off not too far from where we started from. Perfect spot. I will make sure to call you first for next year’s run. We hope to get back down in the near future and will keep your info to check on availability. Thanks again for offering such a great unit. Michele From Susan to Michele: Can I post your comment on our site with 1st name only and no other info? Come back anytime. It's always a slice of heaven here. Susan Sure, you can post my comment. Yes, it was hard leaving that little slice of heaven. I had lived downtown for about two years while in school years ago and worked in Mt. Pleasant while there. For some reason, I had never explored the ‘old village’ area of Mt. Pleasant until this weekend. I had no idea it was so neat and that neighborhood is an awesome place to explore by foot or bike. Such a nice surprise and it was all so close the beaches too. Thanks. Thank You Michele,

Hi Susan; We got home Monday afternoon and immediately wished we were back on the shore watching dolphins instead of looking at ice and snow on our lawn. We had a great time even when the wind was a little chilly. The sun was great and the only time it rained was a couple of times after supper when we were in for the night. Hope your new tenants enjoy it as much as we did. Ralph

Our family loved your townhouse! The location is incredible, and yet we were tucked safely in a quiet family neighborhood. We were close to everything Charleston has to offer. What an amazing city! The townhouse was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed. We will come back.

Just wanted to let you know we had a great time while staying at your property!! When renting a place based on the pictures you see online, one really does not know what they will get. We all agreed, the pictures and photos on vrbo were an accurate representation of your property! It was clean, close to Charleston and the beach. Overall, it helped make our trip to Charleston memorable.
