The BEAR PAW RETREAT is your rustic get-away sitting on the banks of Hiwassee Lake in southwestern North Carolina! This incredible, two-story home has enough space for a large family to spread out and still have private places.
As you enter the property you are on the natural stone deck of the private swimming pool which is overshadowed by a wonderful 20 foot high rock garden wall. As you go through the front door you are greeted by the family/great room which serves as a game room. It contains a pool table, wet bar, satellite radio and fireplace, all to make your stay memorable.
The large windows overlooking the lake provide a beautiful view and continue past the two dining room tables. To the right of the great room is the family style kitchen. The windows of the great room and kitchen surround the pool so viewing is easy. The main level has a second kitchen and sitting room. Beyond this are two bedrooms each with a queen bed and a shared bathroom, a laundry room and half bath which create a second wing of this home.
Down one level you will find three bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and sleeper sofa, the second has two queens and a sleeper sofa(full), the third room has one queen and and daybed with trundle.
Bear Paw Retreat is your perfect corporate weekend getaway or special place for retreats and family reunions. Lake Hiwassee has 180 miles of shoreline, water-skiing and fishing are allowed. There are several local marinas that rent watercraft and the community provides additional recreational activities in the form of tennis courts, basketball hoops, and a community pool.
