We were two married couples that sought a reasonable accommodation outside of Tallahassee during the very busy parents weekend at FSU. Speaking for just me and my wife, we were also interested in exploring that part of the Gulf Coast as we live in south Florida. "Sea La Vie" did not disappoint with comfortable beds, 3 large screen TV's, a great quiet central air conditioning system, well equipped kitchen, an outdoor grill, peaceful development, and several sightseeing locations within walking distance or a short drive. A large pool with a view of the gulf was a 3 minute walk away. The Seineyard restaurant is beside the pool with decent reasonably priced food including fresh oysters. The restaurant staff were friendly and seemed genuinely happy that you were their guests. Ask for Linda. Another plus for me was that development manager, Erika is usually available onsite and helpful with any needs you may have. For a real treat, take a walk along the boardwalk at Turkey Point and scoot over a small dune at the end to enjoy a beautiful and virtually uninhabited beach. In summary, Sea La Vie is a clean well built and nicely appointed home that was miles above in value compared to anything we could have found in Tallahassee that weekend. We look forward to a return visit.

This was our second stay at SummerCamp, but our first in "Sea la Vie", and as with our stay last year, we certainly were not disappointed. The property was immaculate, exactly as advertised, and the furnishings were very comfortable. As well, the amenities at the development are really top notch; we love the pool and clubhouse. Plus, everyone we spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful. This is the place to go if you want to enjoy the peacefulness of nature, and to get away from it all...And then there's the area's seafood restaurants, which are the BEST!

This was the perfect house for us on our vacation. The only thing that would have made it better was if it was right on the beach. It was decorated really nice and it was clean. The house was located in a very peaceful setting. We went kayaking and visited the pool. We didnt care for the natural beach to swim, but we found a great beach on St. George island. If you are looking to relax and you dont mind a coastal drive to a beach better suited for swimming this is the place to stay.

We had a great time

Loved the house!! It was exceptionally decorated and furnished. Wall colors were calming. The house was equipped with everything you need to be far away from all the conveniences we’re used to and yet feel at home. The main purpose of our trip was to do absolutely nothing, so all we did was to go to the beach twice a day and occasionally drive to Carrabelle to get fresh seafood at the market or some groceries. Wild blackberries grew right next to the house, by the way. One of potential downsides of the location could be the fact that there is another house built right next to it, so that their backyards look at one another with a little vegetation in between. We lucked out and the other house wasn't occupied during our stay. Maybe no big deal , but something to consider if you’re looking for privacy. Another thing is that the word “beach” is used a lot in the description and white sand by association makes you think of blue water which is not exactly the case. The bottom composition is brown sand with patches of sea grass. We were disappointed a little in the beginning, but later learned to appreciate the fact that the ocean looked different every time depending on the tide and the wind. The water was clear most of the time, plus, we were able to see all kinds of sea life, which otherwise we wouldn't have been able to see. The beach is very shallow which is great for the little kids, but if you’re an adult and you want to dip or swim you really gotta work your way out there to the deep end. Once you get there it’s actually great for swimming because the water is very calm most of the time. The community has a kayak shack which we enjoyed using as well. I also have to mention great support from the management office. Erika was very helpful in all aspects of our stay from meeting us after hours the day of our arrival to answering any questions we had during our stay.

Our trip was fantastic and this house and the surrounding area were fantastic for a very relaxing family vacation! Surrounded by the FL forest and a short walk to the beach or the pool was exactly what we needed. The house was exceptional and far exceeded our expectations. Was well stocked with linens, towels, and with a modern kitchen and everything we required for prep (including a great outdoor grill) we were able to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with ease. We did stop at a Publix in Tallahassee between landing at the airport and arriving at Summercamp. The house was very quiet, comfortable and very relaxing. We really enjoyed the pool at the main lodge as well as the walks along the beaches and admiring the shallow sea life close to the shore. Including Horseshoe crabs, Hermit Crabs, Blue Crabs, Snails, Rays, and other small fish. For better swimming beaches with a bit deeper water we visited Carrabelle Beach, St. George Island St park beaches, and Alligator Point Beaches. From the St. George Island beach we were able to see porpoises, Turtles and Sting Rays less than 30' from shore! We also took a day to drive to Wakulla St park and saw Alligators, turtles, birds, and many other Fl natives and would highly recommend the trip there. For those looking for a low key true vacation with no pressure this is the place to be! We will be keeping this area in our future vacation plans with out a doubt!
