This 120m2 lodge with private beach, is set on the banks of the gentle, crystal clear, Liucura River! Great fishing, and pools for swimming! Watch the trout jump from our huge terrace shaded by rare native trees! Enjoy a Chilean fine wine as you relax to the beauty and fragrance of the fire of our large wood burning stove! We are in the heart of adventure country! The Huerquehue Park, Cañi Forest Reserve and Nursery, the famous "3 Waterfalls," and several natural hot springs are right close by!
Our native american maid will deliver fresh, hot bread baked in a wood fire stove! Watch smoke rise from the active, snow capped Villarrica Volcano visible from the yard! See the red glow at night! Climbing the volcano, rafting the mighty Trancura class five rapids, and fishing the abundant wild trout are among the treats of our region! The back woods have wild boar and rabbits for the hunters.

After honeymooning here 6 years ago, my wife and I decided to use our skymiles and come back. We absolutely love this place and hope to come back yet again! As for a review...here we go: Negative: -both times we have visited, the hot tub has not worked -both times we have visited, the electricity has gone off 1-2 times -the driveway is very rough and not easy to manage in wet or snowy weather Positive: -very charming (in a rustic and earthy way) -far enough away from town to enjoy solitude, but close enough to go out for dinner -the surroundings are gorgeous -the volcano glowing on clear nights -the neighbors/caretakers, Jorge and Adiba, are wonderful...we've had them over twice and they've had us over twice. -the price is a very good value Overall, this place is wonderful. We would love to have the hot tub in working order, but even without it, we've thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and plan to go back as soon as we can. Thanks!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

This guest was offended since our cleanup team didn't arrive on time. Our house holds 10 people so when guests checkout it's a mess. Sadly he came before the cleanup and was rightfully offended. He was so irate he refused to discuss solutions, and stormed off. I would have given 1/2 price for his trouble. The following day the house and the grounds were cleaned to perfection. We stand pat on every detail specified in our lodge description. The lodge, amenities, beach, are described perfectly.

This listing description was horribly inaccurate in every way possible. The property is listed as being in Pucon. After leaving Pucon it took us an additional hour to the ramshackle cabin. We rented a car in Temuco, and were barely able to get up the dirt path with deep ruts, which could only be possible to do without scraping the bottom in a high clearance vehicle. This information was not given to us. On arrival it was clear that the owner failed to contact the caretaker of the property, as it was in derelict condition. The car port was tilting to one side as if a strong gust of wind could easily take it down. There was cattle or horse excrement along the path leading to the front door. The house had not been cleaned, and if fact was in deplorable condition. Beds were slept in with dirty linens on them. Floors were filthy, toilets, sinks, shower also filthy. The water was not even turned on. The kitchen was a health hazard with rodent droppings throughout, food on the stove, and counters. The furniture was filthy, the hot tub empty with just a bit of dirty water remaining. We came all the way from the States with our young daughter to spend the Christmas holiday here, and were forced to leave within minutes of looking at the condition of the property. The owner was called, and despite learning of the condition of his property said he would not refund our 50% deposit the he made sure we wired to his account before arriving. He had asked for the whole amount, and we said that is not standard practice. There was no maid, that was for sure, as he had stated on his write up. This place was grossly misrepresented, and the owner dishonest. We incurred a loss and a major expense reorganizing our travel plans over the Christmas holiday due to this false advertisement. This property should be removed from this site so no one else has to experience what we went through. We took several photos to document the state of the property on our arrival.
