Description: Located 65 miles east of Sacramento, and 75 miles west of Tahoe, in the Northern Sierra Foothills, our spacious and comfortable Timber Lodge is now available for rental year round. We are situated on five treed acres just minutes from historic downtown Nevada City, and the spectacular Yuba River. The main lodge has three bedrooms and two and a half baths. (For added space be sure to check out the other two cabins). The large loft has a double futon, single futon,and one twin bed as well as sitting area. The large master suite has full bath with double sinks, a king bed and a twin day bed with twin trundle bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds, and the third bedroom has a queen size bed. These latter two rooms share a bath. There is also a king size pull-out couch in the den, as well as a wood stove. The large country kitchen has everything you need and plenty of room to fix a gourmet meal for a big crowd, or for several families to cook together. The two dining tables can accommodate thirteen, with additional seating for four at the kitchen counter. The large great room has a woodburning stove, ample couches and chairs. There are plenty of books to read and games to play. There are numerous eclectic art pieces throughout the lodge, and a baby grand piano in the great room, as well as a couple of guitars for the experienced players. The hot tub awaits off the wraparound covered back porch. There you can pass the time playing pingpong, or foose ball, or just ralax reading a book, or watching the occasional deer or turkey family, wander onto the property. You may even see one of the bear family wander by to discover who's been sleeping in their bed! The Timber Lodge is available year round.
