Just wanted to commend Nilsa on her wonderful condo in Isla Verde! The condo is spot on to her description. It is well maintained, clean and equipped with all the needs for a week plus stay! We enjoyed coffee and the wonderful view from the balcony many mornings. It is located perfectly for the best of both worlds, if you love night life, casinos, clubs or if you just prefer privacy or a book on the beach, this is the perfect place! The customer service we recieved from Nilsa and her staff was outstanding! They offered great local tips on resturants, car rentals, and places to see that are not the typical tourist traps. We were hoping to experience Puerto Rico more like a local than a tourist. With the help of Nilsa and her staff and other friendly locals, we feel like we got a glimpse of the real Puerto Rico! And just to add to the kudos of her hospitality and customer service, she even reserved our rental car for us! We will certqinly be going back for another visit! B & K, Raleigh NC

My wife and I had a belated honeymoon and just had a fantastic time in Puerto Rico. Nilsa met us at the condo and gave us many tips on things to do and see as well as places to eat. There is a great restaurant just two buildings north that has amazing food and drinks. Can't beat the price and free parking of the condo. We enjoyed the east beach better than the west beach from the condo (east was a bit more quiet). We had a bottle of wine waiting for us! Otherwise, very clean apartment. Quiet neighbors. Both my wife and I felt very safe. Would rent again next time we are in Puerto Rico!

It is really a BEAUTIFUL OCEANFRONT CONDO!! The location provided breathtaking views of the amazing Isla Verde beach, sunrise every morning & sunset in the afternoon. The condo was perfect for the celebration of our #10 year anniversary! We loved being able to cook dinner and drink a glass of champagne with the amazing views of the ocean from the cute balcony. Addy was awesome, super friendly, extremely helpful, she took care of us since Nilsa was on a well deserved vacation in New York City. What we like the most is the location, right between the two beaches of Isla Verde, one is where you can do the water sports and most of the hotels are located and the other side is more couple oriented, (Ritz Carlton location). The condo is very quiet, clean , just exactly what we were looking for. Thanks for an amazing and unforgettable time in your lovely island and your gorgeous oceanfront condo. The Connolly’s

We had trouble with cancelled flight, so it was necessary divide our 7 days stay to 2 periods - befora and post cruise. Nilsa was very cooperative and help us solve this problem promptly even she was in her holiday in NYC. The studio is in calm residential area, we feel secure in the evenings when we walk to the close Avenida Isla verde. It is very clean, very nice designed in fresh green colours and full of light. Yes, in some details it is possible to see how many guests were there in the past but it is not so much important. Only one disadvantage - there is not enough space for guests suitcases in cabinet, they must lie on the floor. In studio you can find everything you need for short beach holiday - basic kitchenware, beach equipment, hairdrayer, books, tourist guides.... Very nice balcony with two hight bar stools and little high table, fantastic view to the beach and sea. There is all day noise from the airport, but still acceptable. The beach, you can see from balcony / The Ritz beach/ is much much better and cleaner ten the San Juan Hotel beach on the other side /tons of sea grass uncleaned from the beach for more then 3 days/. Not so much vibrant life on the beach like we are accustomed on urban beaches in Europe - the beaches in San Juan area are realy peacefull. I can advice this studio for active couple like a base for Puerto Rico discovering.

My husband and I stayed in ISla Verde in this beautiful condo for 3 wonderful nights. Nilsa came to meet us at the complex. She was very attentive and friendly. She gave us a tour of the building and unit and was very quick to reach when we had a question about the location of something. The condo is very clean and well kept. Beautifully decorated as shown in pictures. It had everything we needed: towels, utensils, beach equipment, pots and pans etc. She even provided sunscreen with the beach towels. The view was great!! We loved having coffee on the Terrance in the morning while looking at the beach. The building is very safe. Beach access just a few feet away. Restaurants, casinos, night life is walking distance. We highly recommend staying at this apartment. We plan on returning very soon!!

Nilsa was there to greet us when we arrived at the unit. She even took us out to grocery shop that evening! Everything was as described....ocean front with a short walk across the street to one of the nicest beaches we have ever been on. The water was splendid and the beach was great for swimming... playing in the waves...lounging... reading .... walking or just soakin' up some rays. We had a small problem with the WiFi but Nilsa came over to help us out and even offered to lend us HER computer! Great value if you like being on the water. Somewhat removed if you are looking for night life ...and a bit of a walk to restaurants and shops. But if you like crashing in your own little pad after a day on the beach....this is the place for you!

My boyfriend and I rented this wonderful condo in Isla Verde and it was everything we wanted it to be. Nilsa met us at the condo and she was very helpful in showing us around the condo, the parking area, how the keys worked, as well as she giving us suggestions on where to eat, where the local grocery store was, things to do both locally and throughout the island, and was very accommodating telling us to call her anytime if we needed anything. The pictures show the condo accurately, beautifully furnished and clean, and the views are spectacular. Although I've only been home a couple weeks, I'm already talking about going back... staying at this condo is highly recommended!! Thanks again Nilsa, you're the best, it was our pleasure renting from you!! Hope to again real soon!!

Just got home yesterday from a very relaxing, too short visit to Puerto Rico! Nilsa's condo is a comfortable, quiet retreat that is close to beaches, nightlife, sightseeing. Nilsa provided great information on local restaurants and things to do. We are an active couple who like to explore and experience the local scene and we were able to do so easily from this prime location. We rented scooters for a ride into Old San Juan, climbed El Yunque and visited Los Pinones beach. We had a rental car but really didn't need it except for the drive to El Yunque. Kitchenette made it easy to eat a relaxing breakfast and enjoy coffee on the balcony. Nilsa even had a recommendation on a local gym, which was great! Last night was spent drinking mojitos at La Playita and listening to the ocean! We will definitely be back! Thanks Nilsa for being a great hostess!

This is my second time in Nilsa's apt and I will continue staying there everytime I travel to San Juan. The apt. is between two beaches, "La Playita" Restaurant is next door, Walgreens, Dennys, El Pueblo Supermarket are very near the apt. Nilsa is the best!! I called her to let her know that I was dropped off by the taxi in Isla Verde Avenue and she picked me up and took me to the apt. The apt. has all the ammenities, very clean, quiet as well as the building. If you visit San Juan, this is the place to stay.

This condo was immaculately clean, had easy access to two beaches, and had easy access to all kinds of restaurants and bars. Even though we were in the middle of everything, all we ever heard outside were the waves. The kitchen was very useful to have on vacation. We were able to store drinks and leftovers in the fridge and because of the nice assortment of pots and pans, we even took a night to cook. Even has a rice cooker. The drop ceiling with the green light was a nice romantic touch. Nilsa was definitely a great first experience for Homeaway. Only complaint was that the bed was a little hard. A mattress pad or softer mattress would have made nights a little easier.

What an amazing stay! My husband and I wanted a little get away from the hustle and bustle of our normal day life. We rented this studio from Nilsa and what a splendorous surprise. It was so relaxing and peaceful! I got up every morning, drank my coffee on the balcony and took in the magnificent view of the ocean. Couldn't have asked for anything more. If you want to get out and about this location is perfect, you don't just have the beach but all the main casinos and tourist attractions are at your finger tips. I would recommend this apartment and Nilsa to anyone. I truly dream of sitting and drinking my coffee on that same patio again in the near future. Thank you Nilsa for a memorable stay, we will definitely be back soon!

This was our first trip to Puerto Rico. I have trusted Homeaway.com in the past and my experiences have been fabulous. This condo stood out to me and Nilsa was very attentive to my inquiries. Nilsa's condo was amazing! The condo is perfect for two and very well kept. It was clean, convenient, and the location was perfect. I must say Nilsa's hospitality can't be beat! The condo location is perfect for beach lovers. You have easy access to two different beaches via this property. One is busy with hotel crowds and locals, and the other is quite secluded and shared with a couple of buildings and the Ritz. The beaches did have security and we always felt safe. Everyone was friendly on both beaches. The interior of the condo was exactly how Nilsa describes it. Plus it was clean and great furnishings. It couldn't have been better! A huge plus for us city folks, was no bugs in the condo. There is a grocery store and Walgreens in close proximity to the condo. Plus, excellent food is just a short walk away. We did not rent a car. If we wanted to venture out, Nilsa had given me a phone number to a cab co. that arrived in three mintues exactly, every time. I was impressed and great service too. We took a bicycle tour of Old San Juan and toured Bacardi. This condo is perfect for rest, relaxation, and a memorable experience. We hope you enjoy your vacation as much as we did. Nilsa truly has a piece of paradise.

My wife and I stayed for six nights at this condo in April and had a wonderful time. Nilsa was very accomodating and everything that she describes about the condo is true and up to par. The location is very good and within walking distance to a variety of restaurants, hotels, etc. We could easily walk to the Ritz-Carlton and use the facilities there. I would highly recommend dining at the El San Juan (very close walking distance) at Piccola Fontana as well as the Palm. The Ritz-Carlton also has an Il Mulino restaurant, which was excellent. The beaches on both sides of the condo were very close and perfect for enjoying a day at the beach. The location puts you in the midst of all that Isla Verde has to offer. Nilsa was very responsive and we were impressed that everything was exactly as described. She was very helpful and knows the area very well. This condo is a no-brainer for the price relative to the cost of staying at some of the local hotels that are literally next door to the condo. Walking distance to grocery stores, drug stores, bars/restaurants, etc. are all there. We would highly recommend this to others looking to vacation in Isla Verde!

Location could not have been better, condo was a little small but it worked for two. Beach on Ritz side (balcony view) was nice and quiet, however both were great. Many local eateries within walking distance were very good and reasonable. Nilsa's picks were spot on to include Old San Juan which was our favorite place to Wine & Dine, so many choices so little time. Locals were very friendly and helpful in all aspects this to include our host Nilsa. Most of our time was spent on the beach, great for walking, running or just relaxing . We did visit the rain forest for a couple hikes, about 40 min. ride from the condo on Rt 26 very easy to find and great scenery. We did rent a car for the week, Bid off "Price line" Nissan Altima @ $ 18 a day- easy pick up 6 minutes off the airport. This was our first visit but we will definitely return to P.R. in the future. We just returned from a wonderful vacation in Puerto Rico. Staying at Nilsa's condo made it even more special. The condo is conveniently located between two beaches and within walking distance of stores, restaurants, and nightlife. It was very clean and well furnished. The cooler and beach chairs came in handy. It was nice to come back to a quiet building at the end of the day.

Seems like alot of people go to islands such as St.Martin and St. Kitts but they are missing out on a beautiful country. Puerto Rico has a very exotic feel yet makes you feel like home. We stayed for our honeymoon and I hope to come back for our 1 year anniversary. Nilsa was a fantastic host, she provided us with some yummy chocolates and tasty champagne. The view is unbelievable. Two beaches to choose from in which one seems more touristy but the other is calm and quite. The condo is has a very up to date style. If your questioning the murphy bed dont cause its perfect. Air condition works great. It was just perfect. Only down was no pool, but hey we had the beautiful ocean. Please visit the island of Viesques, its just a ferry ride away. Isle Verde is amazing but you must visit the Vieques beaches, i felt like i was in a dream, sooooo beautiful!!!!! Dont forget Culbra i heard these beaches are also amazing but the ferry was full so we will visit on out next trip to see our fantastic host Nilsa :)

Location perfect view spectactular beach great ,food unbelievable. Best vacation I have had in 15 years and I have gone south for 30 years. What a blast. La Pallita for cocktails at sundown is a must . Food too expensive but worth the view an atmosphere.Blake is the man. Great bartender and better man. Totaly looks after business. Mi casita if you dont mind a wait is the best place we eat. Walk down isla vrde blvd and look for the Churchs chicken spot. It is in the little mini mall beside . Mom and Dad place and the best food I have ever had. Prices are very reasonable to cheap.Beach BBQ's are good to on the beach. $6.00 and lunch for 2. Amazing. Thanks Nilsa for your info and your great studio. Cant wait for next year. Will book in Aug so we dont loose our home away from home.

We just returned from a 1-week stay at Nilsa's beachfront studio condo. All of the reviews about the view from the balcony are spot on. We spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony enjoying the sound of the waves and the view of the beautiful beach. There is an awning that you can put up and down as you choose which we appreciated since we need to limit our time in the sun. The studio is very nicely decorated. We found the Murphy bed comfortable and were able to watch TV while laying down. You have everything you need to eat in - a 2-burner cook top, a microwave and a large refrigerator. The Pueblo supermarket is a short cab ride or walk away where you can get just about anything including wine, beer, etc and prepared food. Nilsa provides plenty of towels for shower or beach use and has beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and boogie boards in the apt. One wall is mirrors and it is really cool how you can see the water while in the kitchenette area without having to go out on the balcony. The location is great, literally between 2 different beaches. We chose to use the beach we could see from the balcony where the Ritz Carlton is located as it was less crowded. Nilsa is a very friendly and accommodating host. She promptly met us at the condo where a bottle of wine and chocolates were waiting for us. After explaining everything we needed to know she gave even us a ride to the grocery store. Anytime we had a question or needed something she was right there (she lives a short distance from the condo). We will recommend Nilsa's condo to our friends and family and would be happy to stay here again. Thanks Nilsa for everything!

Staying at Nilsa's condo was a great experience for my boyfriend and I for so many reasons. There were condos that were bigger and less expensive available, but customer service is so important to me and I could tell by the reviews that Nilsa was not only there to solve problems if they arose, but she was a proud concierge for her hometown. I made the right decision. Although our flight was delayed several hours, Nilsa met us at 1am to guide us to the condo, show us all the features, and she presented us with champagne and chocolates to help us celebrate my boyfriend's promotion since I had told her we didn't have time to celebrate before we left. On our first day we drove into Old San Juan and bought Puerto Rican coffee at Cafe Cola'o, which is very good and can only be found in PR. We started our days for the next week with freshly brewed PR coffee and a walk on the beach. Heaven. The condo is located in the middle of the best part of Isla Verde. The Ritz is on one side and El San Juan and The Intercontinental are on the other. We were able to enjoy the amenities of all these hotels without paying all the extra fees. The condo was so much better than the Ritz, which is where our friends stayed. We saved hundreds of dollars on resort fees, parking for a week, and food. Whenever we decided to explore the island, we were able to shop at the grocery store and bring food with us in the cooler Nilsa provided. Our road trips were interesting...my biggest piece of advice is when heading west towards Rincon, take the 22, not the 2. It is a toll road, but believe me, it is not that expensive and worth every penny! As for eating, the restaurant next to the condo, La Playita, is right on the water and the food was really good. I highly recommend the garlic mofongo. Old San Juan has great restaurants on Fortaleza such as Dragonfly (make sure you check out the downstairs). We also really enjoyed sitting outside and being served by a very fun bartender at Carli Café Concierto, which is at Calle Tetuán 206 near the harbor. The best activity we did was the night kayak bio-luminescent tour. It was so peaceful and unique. Dinner at La Racar in Las Croabas was rustic but enjoyable. The red snapper with criollo sauce was awesome. All in all it was a great place to stay and a great location. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks, Nilsa!

We stayed at this condo for our 2nd year wedding anniversary for 6 nights and 7 days. It definetely has everything you need with the kitchenette, desk, shower, beach supplies. Nilsa was also very sweet and helped us with any questions we had. Our only complaint was the murphy bed. It squeked terribly and was uncomfortable. We woke up every morning to back aches. The bed in the condo looks different than the one in the pictures online- I don't know if its just the position of the bed or if its a totally different bed. Also the beautiful lighted water feature in the pictures was broke and did not work along with a few recessed lights on the ceiling had been blown out. There was also some loud drilling noises around 8:00 or 9:00 am in the morning 2 days while we were there. It was annoying but we were already awake so it wasn't that bad. The view to the left of the condo on the balcony was very nice to see in the morning and at night. It was in walking distance to the beach which was wonderful and the condo is gated so you felt safe at night. We ate at Metropol up the street and it was sooo good. We also tried mufongo at La Playita next door and it was different but good. The view of that water at La Playita was very romantic at night with my husband. We really enjoyed our stay in Puerto Rico- especially the location as it was close to the main road with stores and restaurants. Also Charlie's car rental was about 2 miles from the condo on Isla Verde Ave (the main road). They were very helpful and their prices were extremely reasonable. You actually don't need a car unless you want to drive to another city and explore. We went to the rainforest which was beautiful and exciting.

My stay at Rico backin late Sept was one of many pleasantries and surprises. For starters all the features mentioned in the Online ad..were accurate from the wonderful beach front location to the amenities provided within. The layout, the decor, lighting and comfortable bed provided for a cozy warm atmosphere of relaxtation and enjoyment during my stay there. The provided cable tv and internet service were amenities I found very useful as I had my netbook with me. Of particular importance to ME was the fact that the condo apt. was Very clean when I took residence there, something that I scrutinize very carefully when I travel. Added perks were the availability of a small kitchenette the provided some consumables such as coffee, water, etc, adequate utensils. The A/C kept the apt cool when needed. The condo apt provides parking for one vehicle(not assigned)which was a Plus as street parking is at a premium. The location was Perfect..close to restaurants, beach, casinos, nite clubs and shops. Customer service provided by the Renter (Ms Perez) was friendly and very helpful regarding my inquiries and questions. My stay was very enjoyable and I would certainly recommend it to my friends and relatives(already have).

WE LOVED THIS CONDO!!! It was nice, clean, and fully equipped with appliances and utensils, which saved us alot of money because it enabled us to store our food. Not to mention the BREATH TAKING view of the beach BOTH during the day and at night. Nilsa even provided us with beach stuff, which came in very handy. We loved the easy access to both beaches. We were within walking distance from the San Juan Hotel which has an incredible pool bar (for those of you who desire a pool) it was easy to get in and out of and after we had a few drinks we simply walked back to our condo and we did not have to drive. We even hit the casino a few times and I won a little bit of money.. The condo is conveniently located near multiple Walgreens, restaurants, etc. I heard that certain puertorican celebrity couple with twins purchased a building within steps from Nilsa's condo. I can't wait to see what they do with that property and just how much desirable it's going to make Nilsa's condo. We loved Nilsa's condo and the area so much that we are already planning a return trip. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CONDO TO ANYONE!!

I stayed in Nilsa's condo last month. The stay was awesome. The condo itself was very comfortable. It was modernly decorated from the bedroom to the bathroom. The balcony had an excellent view of the beach. It had Wi-fi and cable TV, which also made it easy to settle in to the condo. Every morning I would walk downstairs right onto the beach and take a run, from one side to the other and back. I would then take my shoes off and jump into the water and cool off. What a feeling that was. I would go back into the condo, take a shower, then take a walk down the beach to the Courtyard Marriott to have breakfast. Its 2-3 miles from the San Juan Airport and located very closely to a number of restaurants, bars, convenience stores, hotels, casinos...you name it. Everything you need is right in the vicinity. Obviously, I enjoyed the stay and will definitely stay there again. Oh, dont let me forget Nilsa. She was very organized and made sure everything was taken care of. Thank you Nilsa for an awesome stay!

The condo was lovely with a fantastic view of the beach from the balcony and also very easy access to both beaches. Everyday we would just pop down and spend some time swimming and enjoying the sun. It also has internet access which made everything a lot easier. The whole atmosphere was vacation-y and very comfortable at the same time. It now also holds a special place in my heart because while there, standing on the balcony drinking wine and listening to the ocean, we got engaged! Thanks for some wonderful memories!! We recently stayed in Nilsa's condo for our honeymoon. The condo was wonderful and Nilsa had champagne and chocolates waiting for us when we arrived! Everything in the condo is clean, neat, and perfect for two people. We enjoyed the surrounding area of the condo and ate many meals at La Playita (literally next door to the condo and on the ocean). We also enjoyed Ceviche House, and Lupis. If you are planning on going to Old San Juan, we would recommend just taking the A5 bus. Only 75 cents each way and takes you right to Old San Juan. Definitely a wonderful trip and a great place to stay. Thanks Nilsa.

We loved our time in Nilsa's condo. The waves literally lap the stairs to which residents have private access. The condo was comfortable and everything you need is there; beach toys, linens, hair dryers, lan lines, etc. There are many stations on the tv in English and Spanish. Residents live in the building so it is quiet and the view from the balcony is wonderful. We enoyed eating at th Piu Bello which is on Avenida Isla Verde. It was a diner that had a large selection, low prices and daily local flavored specials. Prices were way low and my husband and I could eat for $25. PLaza las Americas, Mall of Americas, was so fun and so huge. Old San Juan is a must but the buses are the best thing in the world. They run on a schedule of about every 30 minutes for the express and every 10 minutes for the one that makes a lot of stops. If you are not in a rush, the bus is a good cheap way to travel. The A5 goes to old San Juan, the C53 is the express to OSJ and a you can even take buses to Plaza Las Americas. Overall, a great time, Nilsa was available for any questions and I would recommend the condo to any couple or single person visiting PR.

Nila was so very helpful with the entire process of renting out her condo. When we arrived at the airport, she met us at the Condo to greet us and tell us a little bit about the area. The condo was very neat and clean, and looks exactly like to photos on the internet. The building of the condo was very private, and not a lot of traffic in the hallways. It was perfect for our honeymoon because it was so quiet and private. The balcony was amazing with being able to see straight out to the water. I will definitely be a returning customer of Nilsa's.

My husband and I stayed in Nilsa's condo for 5 days in May, 2010. The location is perfect ... steps away from the beautiful beaches of Isla Verde. Nilsa provides everything you need for your lazy days on the beach (multiple beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc.), makes you feel like a local. The condo is well equipped with everything you need (microwave, dishes & glasses, coffee-maker, toaster, hair-dryer) and nicely decorated (very bright and modern with lots of mirrors). There's even extra suntan lotion for the beach and bug spray for El Yunque if you've forgotten to pack yours. The building itself is very quiet. We rarely saw or heard anyone else but we could smell their cooking which made us want to knock on our neighbors' doors and invite ourselves over for dinner. Parking was ample and included in the price of the condo (nearby El San Juan Hotel charges $16/day for parking). The balcony has an absolutely gorgeous view of the beach. Nilsa is a wonderful host. Aside from the attention to detail that she has taken in putting her vacation condo together she is a wealth of information when it comes to restaurants and things to see and do in Puerto Rico. You really get the feeling that she cares about your good time and makes every effort to make your stay as perfect as possible. We had never stayed in a condo before and we were not disappointed. In fact, I will research vacation condos first before looking at hotels from now on. Nilsa's condo is such a bargain as compared to the cost of an ocean-view room at the neighboring resorts, not to mention the savings in parking, 11% taxes and 14% resort fees. Who needs housekeeping knocking on your door before you're ready to leave the room anyways? :-) As for places to eat in the area, my husband and I had a tasty Cuban dinner for his birthday at Metropol (super close and walkable). Piu Gelato is close for a quick breakfast and cup of coffee. La Playita next door is convenient and has a nice vibe and beautiful ocean view. Breakfast is a little blah but their mojitos are refreshing and we enjoyed lunch and dinner there as well. Thank you to Nilsa for making our stay so comfortable in Puerto Rico.

My child and I just came back from Puerto Rico and for the most part always stayed with family. I must say after searching around with hotels, thier fees and taxes and parking fee's sure do add up quickly. I decided to stay at nilsa's place for the first time. I have to say it was such a great stay and very comfortable. Nilsa provided everything you need and it was very reasonable priced. No parking fee's or extras. It is beautiful and my daughter and I cant wait to go back and stay there again! Condo is well kept and I highly recommend this place. Thank you Nilsa!

My wife and I stayed at the property for a week and to be honest, Nilsa undersold the location of this place. It's in a very secure location with absolutely stunning views and beautiful beaches. You also have everything you'd ever need right within walking distance. The room was just as pictures had shown, comfortable and luxurious. Nilsa is the perfect host and got us there when we were lost. We can't wait to come back again!

My husband and I stayed at Nilsa’s wonderful condo at Isla Verde. We picked up a rental car from Charlie's Car rental for 1 week 25.00/day (a better deal than at the airport). They even came and picked us up at the condo for the car rental. Nilsa we love the Condo, it is initimate and fund While fun with a great view of the beach. Importantly, it was immaculately clean and everything worked. We always had private, secure parking and had no concerns about anything happening to our rental. We stayed at Nilsa’s condo for one week 4/7 to 4/14/2010, Nilsa is an absolute gem. She made sure we had everything we need and offered suggestions for activities.Primarily, we ate breakfasts at the condo and went out all day. We ate our dinners mostly in resaurants at the Intercontinental Hotel and El San Juan. This studio condo is an absolutely fantastic location for great day trips. For us we: 1)flew to the island of Culebra(64.00 pp and enjoyed one of the top 3 beaches in the world- Playa Flamenca (We feel is the absolute most beautiful beach ever!). You can also take a ferry but the flight was short allowing more time to enjoy the beach so well worth the cost; 2) we did an afternoon trip to the incredible El Yunque rainforest (another beautiful day). 3) finally we did a day trip to old San Juan for sight seeing (forts and down town restaurants, and crafts). On the weekend there are 100's of families out kite flying at grassy area of the forts. We will be back to Nilsa’s condo in future. My wife and I loved our trip to Puerto Rico, we had an excellent time Kenneth and Christy J.

Nilsa's condo in Isla Verde is perfect for a 2 person getaway. She does an amazing job at keeping it clean and very modern. The place is small but has plenty of space for 2 people. The balcony is very nice as it overlooks the beach near the Ritz-Carlton. It is conveniently located down the street from a Walgreens which came in handy for snacks, sunblock, etc. In the condo there is a small kitchen, refrigerator, plenty of bath and beach towels, beach chairs, and a small cooler for drinks on the beach. Nilsa pretty much provides everything you need. One thing to note is that Isla Verde is a touristy area where many hotels are, so make sure you ask Nilsa where to go to find AUTHENTIC Puerto Rican food. Otherwise, you will be trapped into eating overpriced hotel food and American fast food. Some of my suggestions are Don Jose (try their mofongo), La Playa (right next to the condo), and Ceviche House (30 min walk up Ave Isla Verde) which has amazing Peruvian/Chilean food (this was one of Nilsa's great recommendations). As far as leaving Isla Verde, you can catch the A5 or 53 bus in front of the Walgreens for $.75 to Old San Juan which is a must. The city is beautiful and has many historic sites and great restaurants (try Raices, Red Monkey for pastelillos, Genesis Restauarant, and any hole in the wall spot that serves authentic PR food). All in all, Nilsa goes above and beyond to help her guests and make sure their stay is enjoyable. So if you're looking for a clean, affordable room in a convenient location, give Nilsa a call! I definitely will the next time I plan a trip to PR. Thanks again Nilsa!
Owner response:Thanks Tom, it was my pleasure! But remember next time to visit my second favorite restaurant "Buda Tai" in Condado. I will have another nice bottle of wine waiting for you and Janice. I knew it! Ceviche house is amazing, I told you and so is Raices in Old San Juan. So pretty much you followed all my recommendations. Will be my pleasure having you back and remember, one night on me. Thank you both so much for your great review!!!!

Hello Everyone, We've just returned from Puerto Rico where we stayed at Nilsa's condo. We would definitely recommend it if you're looking for accommodation by the beach (it was excellent as it took us 3 mins to get to the beach), the view is just gorgeous, especially in the morning with sun rise! The condo was beautiful (the pictures did not definitely go through Photoshop :-)), very clean and perfectly equipped (especially the umbrella, beach towels and cooler came in handy!). All the equipment is very stylish and modern with a lot of cool things that make your stay more comfortable. Nilsa was extremely helpful and replied to all our question promptly. Thank you very much for this excellent service, Nilsa! It was highly appreciated that you advised on everything we needed straight away. It was excellent that we had our secured parking and didn't have to worry about our rented car. We would recommend to rent a car to anyone who wants to see a bit more than just a local area. There are so many beautiful places to see in PR! In fact we spent only one day in Isla Verde. The little island 1.5h by ferry is definitely number 1 as it's got the most beautiful beaches. We also visited El Yunque rain forest which is excellent trip if you don't want to spend every day on the beach. And also don't forget the Bacardi distillery which is the world's largest. Over all we were fully satisfied with all service provided as well as with the high standard of the condo. Nilsa’s approach is very professional which is quite rare these days. If we ever go to PR again we would definitely stay in Nilsa’s condo again.

My husband and I stayed at Nilsa’s wonderful condo at Isla Verde. After picking up our car rental at the airport, it took no more than 7-10 minutes to get to the condo where Nilsa was waiting for us. While the condo is small, it is intimate and fun with a great view of the beach (not to mention star-gazing late at night!). Importantly, it was immaculately clean and everything worked. We always had private, secure parking and had no concerns about anything happening to our rental. We stayed at Nilsa’s condo for one week before heading to the south-west corner of PR. It was so handy to be able to use the laundry facilities before we left the condo and Isla Verde. If I had one (and I do mean one) negative thing to say, it was that there is only one high deck chair on the balcony and we had to drag a regular chair for one of us. Staying at the condo was not only cost efficient but so-o-o-o handy. We didn’t do any major cooking so we didn’t need a full stove. Primarily, we ate breakfasts at the condo and went out all day. If we didn’t go out to local restaurants such as Metropole (close to condo), Alfredo’s (Intercontinental Hotel) and Kasalta Bakery (Ocean Park), we ate at the condo some evenings. However, it was great to make tea, coffee or get drinks early in the morning or late at night while remaining in our comfy clothes and not needing to go out to a restaurant. This studio condo is an absolutely fantastic location for great day trips. If you’d like a great day trip try the following: 1) take a ferry to the small island of Culebra and enjoy one of the top 3 beaches in the world- Playa Flamenca. Take my advice and get your ferry tickets several days prior to departure; 2) go to the incredible El Yunque rainforest and go on one of their hiking trails. Take plenty of insect repellent; 3) just outside of Luquillo there are the famous kioscos where you can get great PR take-out and cheaper T-shirts; 4) do take a trip through Condado, old San Juan, Ocean Park and, Santurce. It is absolutely worthwhile with great little restaurants and each with a flavour all its own.We will be back to Nilsa’s condo in future. We love Puerto Rico and Nilsa!Jancy K. and Rick B.
Owner response:Thanks Jancy and Rick! Thanks for such a wonderful review and I will do the day trip myself that you are recommending. I need to take a couple of days off and that sounds like a really good idea to enjoy my beautiful island. I haven't been to Culebra o El Yunque in a long time and will do that soon. Once again, thanks for that wonderful Canadian maple syrup. I had the best pancakes of my life with that. And regarding the chair, do not worry. I will go this weekend to get two brand new high chairs for the balcony so you and Rick can enjoy the beautiful ocean view on your next trip to Puerto Rico. It will be a pleasure having you back in 2011 or even before. Best regards, Nilsa. And next time, try Ceviche House Restaurant in Isla Verde, Budha Tai in Condado and El Jibarito in Old San Juan; 3 great places to eat to add to your list!

Staying in Nilsa's condominium was the best decision in my entire stay in Puerto Rico. It is ideally located between two beaches, so you can choose whichever want for whatever you feel; in front on the El San Juan Casino is the nicest beach for swimming and people watching. The beach in front of the Ritz Carlton (visible from the balcony) is a little more 'secluded'. The neighborhood is also safe, and staying in Nilsa's condo gives you a feel of the locals, instead of being relegated to the touristic ghettos. At first I was concerned that the proximity to the airport was going to make the place noisy, but it was hardly noticeable and the waves and breeze drown out anything on the beach level. The condo itself: its very cozy, so appropriate for two people at the most. But it's VERY nice. Nilsa definitely invests part of the profits from renting this place out to make it nice. The kitchen is small but modern and up to date. The shower is absolutely refreshing. There's so much attention to detail: she has an ice chest and beach chairs for you to take out to the beach. There's even a frisbee and she lists all the TV channels in the armoire. Overall, very nice.

This was my 2nd time at this apartment and once again I'll return. My friends were staying walking distance away at a hotel and paid almost $420.00 more than I did, and that was only for a week. Sure they had someone do their bed once a day but hey for $420.00 I'll do my own bed! For a couple, this place is a true bargain. Clean, well located, quite cosy and a very relaxing view. What more can you ask for. We'll be back!

I visited this condo to stay for one night. It is beautiful, however, I was on foot and needed my sister to pick me up early the next day. Nilsa showed me the condo, although, after getting there, I realised I could not stay. She was very polite and refused to take a fee for her time and for showing me around. It is very clean and has so many appointed details in the decor. Hopefully next time Nilsa. Thank you for your hospitality. N

We spent six nights at Nilsa's condo, it was a wonderful experience, the apt is located near the main hotels, restaurants, rental car, supermarket, wallgreens, Dennys, etc. If you don't want to rent a car you have everything closed to the apt. (walking distance). Nilsa is a sweetheart and very helpful from the moment I made the reservation and we were talking on the phone until we left Puerto Rico. The apt. is well mantained, utensils in the kitchen, extra towels, beach umbrella and 2 chairs, laundry downstairs one space for parking and the beach in the back yard :). Come to Nilsa's apt and enjoy PR!!

The condo was absolutely beautiful, even more beautiful than the pictures make it look. It had everything that we needed. It was especially nice that Nilsa provides beach chairs, a cooler, and an umbrella. All of these things got a lot of use! The beach that can be seen from the balcony is amazing. It is a beautiful swimming and snorkeling beach. The reef has tons of fish and even sea turtles! The condo's location was within walking distance to many great restaurants and nightlife. We felt totally safe walking around the condo, even at night. Nilsa was very helpful. Whenever we had a question, even late at night, she had the answer. She was even nice enough to drive us around on our first night in PR before we got our rental car. The neighbors in the building were also very friendly and had great advice. I would definitely recommend this condo to anybody looking for a wonderful place to stay!

The stay at the studio in Ricomar, Isla Verde, was truly a memorable one. Nilsa gave us a very warm welcome, and she was very helpful always. We were very happy with our decision to be at Nilsa's studio. It was very well furnished, a very cosy ambience, and fully equipped too. All in all, it was a lovely experience. Appreciate Nilsa's hospitality :)
