"Follow the Heron" has new owners and is currently being renovated. We are accepting reservations beginning March 1, 2012. Once all renovations and redecorating are complete, we will put up new photos. This home offers accommodations for 12 people in 3 bedrooms and 3 baths in 2060 sq ft, has a separate den for the kids and a wonderful screened in porch with outdoor dining table. Come enjoy Florida's amazing Emerald Coast in the popular beach community of Summer's Edge. Tucked in between HWY 30-A and the Gulf of Mexico, this great, family neighborhood will remind you of Seaside, but there are no major roads to cross to get to the beach! There are 2 community pools – one of which is heated in the winter. Convenient wireless internet.
Ground Floor: Entry porch has 2 adirondacks and a porch swing. Come on inside and you will find a comfortable living room, dining room, and state of the art kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. Appliances include side-by-side frig with ice/water dispenser, dishwasher, glass top range and microwave. Laundry room with super capacity washer and dryer is just off the kitchen for your convenience. Dining table seats six and 3 more can sit at the breakfast bar. There is a downstairs bedroom with a king-size bed, TV/DVD and dresser. Hall bath has vanity sink and tub/shower. Convenient folding kid's table and chairs that you can take anywhere in the house to add extra kid-sized dining space. Living room has queen sleeper sofa, love seat, LCD TV, stereo, DVD, and CD player.
Second Floor: Upstairs you will find a master bedroom with king-size bed, 2 bedside tables, 2 lamps, dresser, LCD TV, closet large enough to fit a crib and a private bath with his/her vanity sinks and a walk-in shower. There is another large king bedroom with 2 bedside tables, 2 lamps, dresser, LCD TV and a private bath with pedestal sink and walk-in shower. Joining these two rooms is a den with LCD TV, built-in bunk bed (2 twins), queen sleeper sofa and leather side chair with ottoman. Screened porch off the den and the master bedroom has a table and 4 chairs for outdoor dining, 2 rocking chairs and a relaxing porch swing.
Outdoors: Charcoal grill. Hot/cold outdoor shower with privacy stall for after beach clean-up. Parking for one car in driveway and 1 car on parking pad in front of home. Convenient beach access is 310 walking steps away. Two community pools – one of which is heated in cold weather months.
