Homecoming
The property was just what we were looking for. My wife grew up in Sag Harbor. The home was comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The bed was great so we rested well after visiting both Sagg beach and Long Beach, Montauk, East Hampton, Shelter Island, and of course, Sag Harbor. The location is perfect to access the entire area. We visited old haunts including great restaurants and old familiar places. We had great weather and a wonderful time. We’re looking forward to coming back again we would definitely consider returning to his home.

About the host

My husband grew up in Sag Harbor (when it was still a factory town). After we married, we built a home in the Village, which we lived in for 38 years. Our daughters were born and educated here, graduating from Pierson High School. Upon retiring from my teaching position at Pierson, we decided to move closer to our daughters and so sold the Village house. The move provided the benefit of being near our grandchildren, as well.

Why they chose this property

This cottage has been in our family since 1978. My parents built it as a retirement home in the Hamptons. Although the family no longer lives on the East End, we maintain the cottage so our grandchildren can enjoy the same experiences as our own children did. My daughters still always speak of how blessed they were to grow up in Sag Harbor, where every day was an adventure.

What makes this property unique

The property was selected because of it's private neighborhood and proximity to special amenities. It is 5 minutes to the Village of Sag Harbor, 5 minutes to the ocean, and 8 minutes to the bay beaches.
