Located in Wildernest, this one bedroom condominium with a large loft and one bathroom is a favorite. At 930 Square feet, it is larger, more comfortable, and has a better floor plan than most two-bedroom units. With two queen-size beds, one full size bed and a twin-size sofa sleeper, it will comfortably accommodate groups of 1-4. A unique top floor end unit, it has twelve windows and two balconies. The views from the unit are outstanding, with Mounts Baldy & Guyot to the south, Lake Dillon, Keystone Mountain, North Peak, Gray's & Torrey's all to the east. Step on to the main balcony and your view increases to nearly 180 degrees, with the Ten Mile Range and Hoosier Pass to the south and the Williams Fork Range to the north.
At night as you relax in front of the fire, you'll see the lights of Keystone Mountain, and the moon as it rises in the east. Antique ski posters will inspire you for tomorrow's day on the slopes. Well-kept and continually remodeled, it has all newer appliances including a washer/dryer, newer furnishings, a full entertainment center including TV/VCR/DVD, CD/cassette/radio, a complete kitchen with lots of tile and mahogany wood blinds throughout. A jetted tub in a newly remodeled bathroom will be part of the package for the 2007-2008 ski season.
A wide selection of games, videos, and books are provided for your enjoyment, and a humidifier for your comfort. Check the movie list from the link to our website. In the front room/dinette area there's lots of wood, a deer antler chandelier, an elk rack on the wall and a beautiful buffalo print.
The downstairs bedroom has high ceilings with 1x6 pine wainscot painted white for a 'country' look, and there's lots of pegs below the shelf to hang your stuff on. Recently we've added a TV to the room. Grill your dinner on the kitchen balcony, ready to go with a gas grill and a convenient exterior light. Snowing too hard? No problem, just stay inside and plug in the family-size George Foreman Griller!
During the winter you are encouraged to feed the birds from the balcony with the seed we provide. In fact, please feed them because they are spoiled and have come to rely on the seed.
A full-length glass door on the kitchen deck allows you to watch the many different kinds of birds that stop by. Regular winter visitors include Pine Grosbeaks, Evening Grosbeaks, Crossbills, Western Tanagers, Mountain Chickadees and Stellar Jays. During the summertime hummingbirds are the main attraction. Watch them zipping around feeding on bugs and sugar water. With several feeders going it's not unusual to see 10 or more birds at a time.
