Cinnamon Ridge is the last home on a dead end road, and thanks to the gated private driveway, there is no drive by or turn around traffic. The 200 degree view from every room is absolutely lovely and includes more than a dozen islands and turquoise seas and white sand beaches. Cinnamon Bay and Trunk Bay lie below you and offer what travel writers have described as some of the world's finest swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing and beaching. It's a 15-minute drive into or from Cruz Bay and the last 1/2 mile is a bumpy dirt road intended to discourage tourists from exploring your quiet paradise. This is a spacious 2-level villa that extends for more than 150 feet from the east side of the house to the pool deck. All the living areas and bedrooms are under one roof, with the large pool and sundeck on the west (sunny) side of the house in an ultra private location. The great room contains the living, dining and kitchen areas plus there are two bedroom/baths on the upper level on either side of the great room. Three more bedroom/baths are on the lower level, which is accessed by both interior and exterior stairs. Though this home does not have a/c, all the rooms have ceiling fans which circulate the tropical breezes nicely. Both the upper and lower levels have decks that run the entire length of the house. The 5 spacious bedrooms (4 kings, 1 set of twins) all have some unique features, and all enjoy truly lovely views. All have screened sliding glass doors that open to gentle breezes, and cozy private decks that are perfect for quiet Caribbean mornings. All bedrooms are equipped with a cable color TV/DVD, and all have a private tiled bath and shower. The 700 square foot living room has tiled floors and cathedral ceilings with skylights and is dominated by a 20' wall of glass that provides gorgeous views from everywhere in the room. The comfortable rattan upholstered furniture seats 10-12. Entertainment is provided by a cable TV/DVD and stereo/cassette. The kitchen is fully equipped with two refrigerators, a stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, icemaker, blender, toaster oven, coffeemaker, china, cookware, dishes and utensils. There are two washer/dryers on the lower level. A tiled bar/counter separates the kitchen from the dining room that has a glass topped rattan table seating 6-8. A sliding glass door leads to the covered main dining deck with a teak table that seats 10-14, while the west dining deck seats 6-8 on teak furniture and the table on the pool deck seats 6-8. The 1200 sq/ft pool deck is this villa's favored place, with a 45 foot lagoon pool and a 4-6 person hot tub. The deck is carved out of a lush subtropical forest and opens to majestic views. The tumbling waterfall, the rustle of palm fronds and the music of songbirds are the only sounds you hear in this exceptionally quiet and peaceful location.

Cinnamon Ridge is located more than 500 feet above the white sands of Cinnamon Bay, on St. John’s legendary north shore in the midst of the Virgin Islands National Park. This is one of the most beautiful and desirable neighborhoods on St. John, or in the entire Caribbean basin. In this unspoiled setting you’re surrounded by a naturalist’s world of sea, sky and pristine park lands. Even by St. John’s high standards, this is an unusually peaceful, quiet and private location.

Why Cinnamon Bay: When we decided to buy a vacation home on St John we spent many months looking at lots of homes in many different neighborhoods, and Cinnamon Bay (also called Catherinburg Estates) was our runaway favorite. This is the north side of the island so it has the lush, green, tropical island appearance that we dream about, and the views overlooking famed Cinamon Bay are a knockout. Almost the entire north shore has scenic views but we were looking for a villa with more than a nice view, we wanted a truly spectacular view, and we got it. We’ve visited lots of other homes and there’s absolutely no doubt that this is one of the most spectacular views on the north shore, or on the entire island. Like our name implies, Cinnamon Ridge sits on a ridgeline that elevates the villa and provides views to the west as well as views to the north and east that overlook Cinnamon Bay and the National Park. We’ve lost count of how many guests have told us that this is the loveliest view on St John. We completely agree, and we know you will too.
Because Cinnamon Ridge is the last villa on a dead end road on the less developed north side of the island you’ll find this to be a wonderfully quiet and private location. It feels like the house was carved out of a tropical forest, because it was. This is a truly lovely place to relax, unwind and become a part of the tropical nature that surrounds you – it’s quite unlike any location in the US. We’ve been coming home to Cinnamon Ridge for many years now and we are constantly amazed and revived by the beauty and peacefulness of this location: you will be too.
