FORGET TAHOE - TRY SHASTA FOR FAMILY SKIING and REALLY NICE ACCOMODATIONS! ..Located in the historic mill town of McCloud, just eight miles over the hill on Highway 89, from Highway 5 and the town of Mount Shasta. Located at the base of Mount Shasta, McCloud is closer (only 4 miles) to the Ski Park, than the towm of Mt. Shasta! The Panther Creek Retreat has new linens, new furniture and is ideally located between the ski resort, the golf course, shopping, and world-renowned fly fishing. McCloud is nestled among the pines along the McCloud River, with views of the backside of magnificent Mount Shasta, and offers shopping and dining at local restaurants away from the hustle of Highway 5.
This three-bedroom, one-bath, ranch-style home is situated in a small rural neighborhood and is spacious enough to accommodate eight comfortably. The large, fenced backyard looks out to the quaking aspens, along Panther Creek. Enjoy the barbecue, or the firepit for viewing the Shasta stars during the warm weather months.The front yard looks out upon a quiet street, with parking for four, and extra space for boat trailers, etc.
The large master bedroom has a queen-size bed; middle bedroom has a queen-size bed; the third bedroom has two twin beds. Each bedroom has chest of drawers, ample closet space, and is close to the bathroom. The large living room has a queen-size sofa bed, love seat, wood stove and monitor heating, and looks out to the quiet street of McCloud Avenue. The open floor plan is perfect for enjoying a fire in the wood-burning stove, watching videos or cable TV, or playing games (Playstation also). The kitchen is bright and cheery, and is DECKED OUT with most amenities for cooking whatever you want(see list below). Washer and dryer in the garage.
Only walking distance away is the McCloud River Inn, which offers nightly family style dining, great italian and american food, dancing, a full bar, and pool tables, with a friendly staff and reasonably priced meals.
McCloud is known for its Mount Shasta Dinner Train, and the quaint historic mill town which offers sightseeing, and shopping (the historic candy/coffee shop is a must-do stop). For nearby water recreation there is the McCloud River 5 minutes away with hiking and swimming along three marvelous lava bed waterfalls, catchable trout on the upper river, trophy brown trout fly fishing on the lower river, boating on the reclusive McCloud River reservoir, or sailing and waterskiing at Siskiyou Lake near Mt. Shasta City, or at Lake Shasta app. 45 minutes away. Numerous seasonal events include the civil war re-enactment, Mushroom Festival, Octoberfest, and the Old Fashioned Christmas.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Regular rates $125/night (2 night minimum).
Occupancy based on 4 people. $10/night each person over 4 (and 2yrs) of age
Holidays $150/night (3 night minimum on holiday weekends).
Discount rates: Off Season $115/night. 10% discount for 7 night stay
$100 Non-Refundable Cleaning Fee. $300 Security Deposit, refundable.
No Smoking. No pets.
