12 Seawinds is in a block of 13 privately owned apartments situated across the road from Silversands Beach in Christchurch.
It is in an area popular for kite surfing. There is a park used by the locals for picnics nearby. The apartment is about10 minutes away from the airport so is useful for stopovers.
Although Taxis are available, there is a bus service and minibuses which can take you into Oistins (famous for its Friday night fish fry) St. Lawrence Gap with many bars and restaurants and Bridgetown which are all further along the south coast.
Miami beach which is good for swimming and has lots of facilities is only 10 minutes away on the bus.
The apartment has stunning views of the sea and local area. It is best suited to adults and couples. Although only 1 bedroom, a sofa bed and folding bed is available. The bathroom has a shower. There is air conditioning in the bedroom. Because the apartment Is on the top floor it benefits from the sea breezes.The kitchen Diner has a gas stove, fridge and washing machine. There is cable TV and free wifi. On the balcony you can eat, sunbath and admire the view. There is a useful shop around the corner and there is a local bar.
My agent or myself prefer to pick you up from the airport and then be available for any further assistance.
There is a security system so the apartment is particularly safe for single travellers.
Cleaning is available or you can help yourself to fresh linen and towels as and when you need it.

Wonderful

The owners were amazingly accommodating. The unit was perfect exactly as it was displayed. The unit was stocked with all essentials and more. I would suggest an AC in the living space but I'm American I already recommended this unit to family and friends.

Excellent experience

We have stayed at Silver sands before but this was the first time with Lauren and Roy could not fault it thank you for the hospitality and help whilst we were there during a difficult time for everyone ( world pandemic) nothing was too much trouble. On a practical note the apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for a wonderful holiday.

Exact Description

The listed description for this property was exactly as decribed. The facilities were superb. The layout was lovely and cosy. There was patio furniture onthe balcony. The location was perfect, close to shops beach and bus route. The property was clean, well maintained and fully loaded. There were lots of kitchen utensils to use, access to a fully stocked linen cupboard, laundry was made easy, nice selection of DVD's to watch.I received everything I would expect from a holiday home and more. Access to the property was safe and secure. The neighbours were friendly. I would definantly want to stay at this property again and would definantly recommend this to a friend.

Hi I am a retired teacher who although born in Jamaica have lived most of my life in England. After visiting Barbados over 20 years ago I decided I wanted to return to island living. I invested in a holiday home when my father left me a small inheritance which gave me the escape from a stressful job. Three years ago when my husband and I took early retirement we bought a second home because we wanted more space to invite friends to stay and fruit trees in the garden.
We now return to England for about 4 months of the year.
The rest of the time we enjoy the sunshine and lifestyle of living in the Caribbean
We now give others the experience of living in Barbados and we enjoy welcoming guests to Seawinds apartments.

Why they chose this property

Seawinds is located on the south coast which is close to Oistins, airport and Bridgetown.
It is across the road from a picturesque beach and close to Miami beach which is good for swimming, has somewhere to eat, changing facilities etc.
The apartment is very secure for a single person. On the third floor so the views are amazing.There is plenty of parking.

What makes this property unique

The apartment can be left secure for long periods and it is not gated.
The cond is well managed and kept in good repair inside and outside.
Most of the other owners live overseas but everyone is friendly and helpful.
