Our comfortably furnished two bedroom, one bath, red cedar cabins are located approximately ten miles west of Murphy in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Our Hiwassee Dam community is just six miles down a beautiful country two lane road, with scenic views of mountains, farm houses, horses, hayfields and cold clear trout streams.
Some of the best trout fishing in the south is all around us and a short drive away. The Nantahala, Tuckasegee and Tellico Rivers are hatchery supported and hold Rainbow, Browns and Brook trout up to 25 inches. Bring your fly rod.
Cherokee Lake just down the road from the cabins is a great place for canoeing, hiking, picnicking, barbecues and even has a fishing pier.
Hiwassee Lake is another lake close by and offers marinas, pontoon boat rentals and great fishing. Murphy is a modern Mayberry with lots of shopping, antique stores, plenty of restaurants, tennis courts, parks, great golf courses, flea markets and the world famous John C. Campbell Folk School.
The Nantahala National Forest which surrounds Murphy is well known for hiking, whitewater rafting, and off roading at Tellico ATV recreational area.
