Breathtaking mountains, forest and wildlife surround the serene waterfront of the Two Rivers Lodge. The property includes 10 acres of waterfront on the Ossipee and South Rivers, with a comfortable rustic yet modern 900 square-foot cottage. The Ossipee is a large mountain fed river filled with bass; the South River is a classic trout stream and features all varieties of fish. The two rivers join at the Two Rivers Lodge and their spring backwaters are prime gathering spots for moose and beaver.
Bring your dogs! We are completely dog-friendly, and welcome your canine friends. Our dogs love to splash and swim in the water and go for long walks in the woods. It's very relaxing for owners to know that because the lodge is located at the very end of a dead-end dirt road and set over 2000 feet back from the road in the woods, their pets are completely safe from traffic.
Relax on the deck overlooking the Ossipee River and you'll see moose, deer, turkey and fox as they travel the wildlife trails along the rivers edge. Or sit by the outdoor fireplace and watch the fish jump from the river at dusk. Build a bonfire, swim in the clean river waters, or snowmobile and ski on hundreds of miles of trails. This property has something for everyone...when not rented the lodge is used by ourselves or our relatives and friends, and everyone raves about what a great place it is.
In addition to the main part of the property that overlooks the Ossipee River, we have a wonderful new "satellite" campsite on the South River that features a barbecue pit, picnic table, hammock, sandy beaches, and the ultimate in privacy, all just 100 yards from the cottage. This is our favorite spot on the whole property; the water's ultra-clean, shallow, and refreshing. It's the perfect place to pitch a tent for the night and listen to the water as you sleep...
This adorable, A-frame cottage is as private as it gets and is perfect for families, couples, and their pets.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Privacy is very important to us to unwind and relax from our busy lives, and the quiet and peaceful location of Two Rivers Lodge is ideal for us. The dogs go crazy when we get in the car, just hoping that we're going to the lodge...when they see the bridge before we turn onto the road they become almost uncontrollable with excitement! Set just 15 minutes from our home, we're able to totally rejuvenate and get away from it all, yet are close enough to everything to make sure the kids are close to their school and friends. The yearly end-of-school parties at Two Rivers Lodge have become a legendary event with the kids' friends and we're always hosting groups of kids who want to swim, fish, tube, and kayak in a safe but fun place. And naturally little Jack loves everything that the lodge offers a little boy...throwing sticks to the dogs, catching fish and frogs, and "helping" to start the fire in the fire pit.
Rated as one of the best antiques shops in Maine...and many more surrounding shops within walking distance.

I can't say enough about the warm friendliness feel that the Two Rivers Lodge gave us, and that of the owners as well. They made you feel that there was no need to worry about anything, except relaxing and having a good time. Hiking the trails, taking our 2-person kayak out and fishing from it (quite successfully, too!) to the campfires at night. It was all wonderful and a perfect getaway. And to be able to bring our dog Roxy with us just completed the vacation perfectly. The cabin was clean, cozy, well stocked, with a great big deck overlooking the river. Everything you would want for an enjoyable trip 'back to nature'. Thanks again for a truly wonderful time. Hope to be back!
Owner response:We'll welcome you back anytime! Glad you had a nice getaway--Maine in the autumn is wonderful.
Recommended for:Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Two Rivers Lodge was everything we expected and more. The cabin was comfortable and the deck very relaxing. The fishing was great. We even had a bass dinner one night from the fish we caught. Joan got the largest fish and I will never live that down. The trails were fun to walk. The food a Bay haven in Corinth was great and at very reasonable prices. We had five days at 90 to 95 degress but we still fished every day and enjoyed the peace and quiet. We have rented camps in New York, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine over the past 10 years and we can honestly say that Two Rivers Lodge is one that we would consider coming back to . It is a great place and I hope it will continue to be rented out for others to enjoy. Joan and Paul
Owner response:We'd welcome you back anytime...maybe Paul can avenge his loss to Joan...the fish are always biting in this stretch of the river. :)

My husband and I (and two kitties) had a wonderfully relaxing vacation at Two Rivers Lodge. It was peaceful and secluded. Each day we'd hike the trails, paddle down the Ossipee River in the canoe or just float our cares away in the inner tubes. Nights were enjoyed under a starry sky by the bonfire (I can't remember ever seeing so many stars in my life. Every accommodation was available from linens and towels to full kitchen and air conditioning. The location is perfect -- close enough to groceries at the Shop and Save, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. I came home a new (and completely rested) person! Thank you John and Karen for making this amazing vacation spot available to those of us who need an escape and want to get back to nature. We hope to return again and again.
Owner response:Beth's feline friends were the first ones we've hosted...we're a dog's (and dog-lover's) paradise...and now we're happy to add cats to our list of guests. :)

My husband and I and our three dogs stayed at the cabin for a week and had such a relaxing time. The cabin is very, very private and very pet-friendly; the dogs had a wonderful time playing and swimming in the river. We were close to stores, restaurants, and shopping but felt like we were on our own private island. We can't wait to go back!

I can't believe I never wrote a review before. We stayed June 2006 & 2007. Had to miss out 2008 because of our little baby, but hope to return sometime. OUR FAMILY LOVES THIS PLACE! It's secluded but close to town. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing... what more can I say. My kids loved using the canoe and kayak. Go upstream and there are small "rapids." Private access to lake where you can swim and explore. Fun to wander the property, too. The owners are wonderful and make this a place you will want to return to. Recommend for locals or guests from further away (we're from Texas). Stay here, don't delay... stay here today.
