Philipsburg cabin description
This cabin is large and perfect for groups or family reunions. There is onsite fishing, hiking, and wild life viewing, and only minutes away from world class skiing and golf. Our property sits on over 60 acres of pasture, wetlands, streams, and ponds. You can see everything from deer and moose to waterfowl and wildflowers. The Pintlar mountains offer hunting opportunites as well (no hunting on our property). Georgetown Lake is only a 20 minute drive, where you can rent a boat for fishing or water skiing. Discovery Basin Ski Area provides some of the most diverse skiing possibilities in Montana, offering both beginner and expert level terrain. The nearby town of Phillipsburg offers the old Montana feel with antique shops, cafes, and even an old fashioned candy shop. This quaint town always has community activities planned, from outdoor concerts to swing dancing on Main Street. Visit http://philipsburgmt.com/calendar for the annual event calendar.

We had a very good time staying at this cabin. We spent the entire time fishing every day in Flint Creek or Rock Creek. The cabin is in a great location, but a little hard to find. Sleeping arrangements were OK and the kitchen was great.

Fun place to stay!
Fun place to stay!
We had such a fun time staying at this cabin. It was a great meeting place for our family from WA ad UT to gather at. The cabin comfortably slept 6 adults and three kids. It was very nice having a laundry room at the cabin! The property is in such a pretty location, just a short walk to the creek. It was awesome to sit out on the top floor balcony and gaze at the stars at night, or watch for wildlife during the day.

Beautiful Cabin - Tons of Fun!
We had a wonderful time!! The cabin was great. We tried other spots for fishing (Echo Lake and Willow Creek), but honestly, behind the cabin was the BEST. We caught all but one of our fish there....once I got brave enough to navigate the tall grass and willows (ha ha!). It was nice being close to PBurg, yet far enough away. And, the views from the cabin were amazing! Loved all the windows. I do have a few suggestions. We had a lake house here in Georgia that we rented on VRBO for a while . And, it was a learn as you go experience for us. One thing that helped our renters was a list of instructions as far as where things are located and arrival and departure instructions. I think that would be helpful to have at your cabin. Also, there were a few kitchen items that would be useful as well: measuring cups, cheese grater, wine opener, pitcher, knife sharpener (the knives were dull). I know it seems picky, but these few items would have been REALLY useful. Adding written directions to the GPS location would also be helpful. This was one of my top favorite vacations that we've ever had! I don't think we could have found a better location or cabin. It's such a peaceful place. We had to buy a couple of inexpensive fishing poles for the boys because ours were late in arriving from Fed Ex. Since we didn't have the room to ship them home, we left them at the house. Hopefully, they can be used by your future guests. You have a beautiful cabin. Thank you so much for the opportunity to use it!! Regards, Sherrie

We enjoyed our stay but were dissapointed that we aren't allowed to have a camp fire and that the fire place was out of order. It was also very difficult to get to the river with all the weeds. We brought our three in the fields aspecially the thistle weeds. We also had issues with the pull out couches they were full of mice droppings and hundreds of dead flys

Manager response: Thank you for your feedback. We have addressed the issues with our cleaning staff and had all the bedding replaced. We made sure that EVERYTHING will be 100% clean for each and every guest - and I thank you for bringing this to my attention. We cannot have camp fires in summer because the grass and trees are too dry. There is too high of risk of forest fire during the summer. We turn off the gas fireplace during the summer.
