For the past several years I have organized a ski trip for The South Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society. I am always a bit nervous about where we will stay. The dentists in our group are all nice guys but they can be a pretty demanding and picky as well. Everyone loved the log home that we stayed in at Solitude. Our stay went off without a hitch and it really was our best trip ever. Thank you to the Dismans for sharing their beautiful home. We had a blast and the house is awesome.

Visited this cabin in March 2012 with 7 other Guys. Mark, Cindy & Emily were very accommodating & hospitable. Extremely close to Solitude & Brighton & just a canyon over from Snowbird & Alta. You can stop searching now as this cabin/home will exceed all your expectations! The pictures do not do it justice. Hottub, views,convienence,fireplaces.....folks, it just doesn't get any better than this. We will return for another stay! Ski Dawgs 2012 !

This log home provided a wonderful place to gather our family from around the country for the 2011 Holidays. The decor and furnishings are first class, construction is classic and the home is well maintained and very clean and well organized. The five bedrooms are well placed and all bathrooms very nice. The kitchen is well stocked with top of the line pans and equipment for cooking. The rec room in the lower level with the foos ball table was a great gathering spot. We would definitely recommend this property to friends. It comfortably fit our family of 10 adults and children. It is about 3 minutes from the Solitude ski area parking lot...couldn't be more convenient. A great place to create family memories!

What a great experience! The owners were great to deal with and the house is spectacular. It is equipped the way I would keep my ski house with everything you need, blankets, dishes, etc and really feels homey. We really appreciated being able to stay here.

This is no ordinary mountain cabin. Every inch is hand crafted by a master. We had such a great time. The cabin layout is purfect for families. Th view from the deck will take your breath away. Were comming back when the snow flies. The whole expierence was terrific.

We just completed our 3rd year staying at this cabin and have been totally satisfied with each stay. The home is as advertised and is immaculately clean when we arrive. The amenities are numerous and in working order. The kitchen is large enough for several cooks at one time as we've learned and we are not getting in each others way. The bedrooms are spacious and are roomy enough to accomodate luggage and still have room to move around. Each of the beds I have slept in thru the years have been comfortable. The views of the Canyon are stellar and since the house faces somewhat west, late in the season, in the afternoon, you can catch some rays on the deck while barbequing. Our group has been making the trip out west, from the east coast, for the past 9 years and we feel that we have found our "home away from home". The homes' caretaker is always available and willing to assist us in whatever request we may have. This past year, we contacted the owner in advance to inquire about his favorite resorts/runs etc and he turned us on to some great powder stashes, many thanks!!! I highly recommend this Cabin to those folks who are more interested in the skiing/riding, than they are the nightlife. We'll be back, again...

I have been traveling the country for several years and have stayed at many VRBO houses along the way. I can honestly say that I have never felt at home as much as I did here. Everything is perfectly set up, the house is decorated with class and logistics. The basement offers an amazing area for hanging out and the hottub..well...you can only imagine looking out across the Wasatch and breathing deep. My family was in town for a whole week and this provided the ideal place for everyone. No running around in SLC, no hotels, and no spending $200 on dinner. The kitchen is large enough to feed a small army and we were impressed with all the room. If you are planning a trip to the Solitude/Brighton/Silverfork area, there is no need to stay anywhere else. We could not have been happier with this decision...Thanks again Mark!

What a special place! The wooodwork, the decorations, the bedrooms, the kitchen, the views from the living room, the grand fireplace - everything is so outstandingly beautiful. We never saw anything like this in all our travels. It beats Austria, Switzerland and Italy in terms of accomodation and snow conditions. A week of snowshoeing and skiing was much too short. It is definitely worth the long trip. We will be back for more! Thank you!!

I have never written a review before ... so when I say I am impressed with this cabin... I really am impressed. You can travel far and near and never find a place with so much character and beauty. The superb quality of design and craftsmanship made me feel relaxed. We had a great internet connection, plenty of wood for the massive fire place, lots of hot water for the jacuzzi and a view of the ski hill. My wife loved the kitchen and son the foose ball table. WOW! Just the perfect Cabin in the perfect ski area!

We stayed in this beautiful home immediately after New Year's day and found it to be a great place to relax after a day of skiing. The pictures don't do it justice....it's far more comfortable and cozy than it looks! We will definitely be back!!

We rented the cabin right before Christmas, and we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the cabin and location. We especially appreciated the attention to detail and the quality of all aspects of the home and its furnishings. The cabin was immaculate! Best rental we've ever seen.
