About the owner: Drue is an avid runner, and René is a potter. We both share a love for acting and can be seen in local productions from time to time. Obi is our beloved 3 legged, one eyed poodle.
We love Nevada City and the wonderful community here and have lived here over 24 years. We love sharing information about the area with our guests.
Why the Owner Chose Nevada City: All three of our cabins (Papa Bear's Lodge, Mama Bear's Cabin and Baby Bear's Cottage) are on the same property. The lodge was our family home for a number of years and we loved living here. When we decided to move into town next to Rene's studio, we knew others would really enjoy the lodge and smaller cabins. And we were right!
The Unique Benefits at this House: Privacy, nature, and a short drive to the beautiful South Fork of the Yuba River. It is a magical place. Wild turkeys, deer, foxes, coyotes, racoons, squirrels and the rare bear siting can all happen right here.
