Guests can enjoy an afternoon reading in the shade near a fountain, exploring the garden, or relaxing inside their casita with its Mexico-inspired décor.
Furnished to ensure guests feel comfortable and priced to fit a travel budget, this whimsical suite or casita is the perfect home base for exploration of San Miguel de Allende. In the immediate neighborhood, explore the Fabrica Aurora, savor goodies from two different bakeries, refresh with an ice cream cone, lunch at the organic café, or scour the artisan market for the perfect memento.
Let your hair down in this second-story, light-filled suite complete with comfortable living room, separate bedroom with king bed (or two singles), and a built-in kitchenette. The bathroom is finished in Mexican tile and has plenty of lighting with its skylight. San Miguel can be chilly in Nov, Dec, and January, but visitors are kept toasty with our powerful heaters for night time.

Why the Owner Chose Centro
We are within 7-10 minutes walking from the main square. One can walk almost anywhere or take a $3 taxi readily available on our street. We are right in the heart of San Miguel surrounded by markets, restaurants, donkeys carrying firewood, art galleries and workshops, Spanish language schools, and much more.

While staying here, guests have easy access to downtown (walking, taxi, bus) but can enjoy the tranquility of our property, meet other guests, enjoy a breakfast prepared by our fantastic cook, read a book by the fountain or on your porch, or plan your day with us or our live-in house manager.
Owner's Map of Centro
Originally from the greater Philly area but having lived in Montreal, Maine and Northern Virginia, I moved to San Miguel in 2001 after founding MexArt, a summer teen camp. My parents moved to San Miguel when they retired in the 1990's. Visiting them early on in their new life in San Miguel, I was awed by the beauty and setting of this colonial, artsy town and decided to move here as well. Now with daughter, Sofie, in tow, we love living in a bilingual, bicultural environment.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK CARLY AND HER STAFF FOR MAKING ME FEEL LIKE I WAS RIGHT AT HOME. THE GROUNDS ARE DRIPPING WITH GORGEOUS CASCADES OF FLOWERING PLANTS AND AT NIGHT THERE WAS A HEAVENLY SMELL OF JASMINE AND GARDENIA IN THE AIR. ON THE GROUNDS IS "LLENATU PANZA RESTAURANT", SO I AWAKENED AND TOOK A SHORT STROLL TO FIND MY COFFEE WAITING FOR ME AND STARTED EVERYDAY OF MY STAY WITH THE MOST DELICIOUS AND AFFORDABLE BREAKFAST. CONVENIENTLY LOCATED TO EASILY WALK TO ALL OF THE MAIN ATTRACTIONS IN SAN MIGUEL, WONDERFULLY QUIET. I HAVE TRAVELLED TO JUST ABOUT EVERY DESTINATION IN THE WORLD AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY, CASA CARLY EARNS A 10 OUT OF 10 IN EVERY ASPECT. THANKYOU AGAIN FOR ALL OF YOUR KIND ATTENTION. RICK
