Krakow (Cracow) apartment description
Our two beautiful apartments are located on the first floor in a 1900 century Cracovian town house. Most our guests rent the apartments separately - they are completely self contained. Therefore if you are looking for just one apartment you can, of course, rent just one - Cracovia 1 can sleeps up to 7 people, Cracovia 2 up to 6 people .However , if you are looking for super spacious apartment ( sleeping up to 13 people) why not rent them both? Cracovia 1 and Cracovia 2 are devided by a common, private hall which is NOT a part of any of the apartments. When combined they will create one wonderfully specious and comfortable apartment. As our guests we have had groups of friends or 2 families travelling together. The apartments are full of light thanks to large, double glazed windows in every room. They are warm in winter thanks to the central heating and cool in summer thanks to old, thick walls that prevent the heat from outside get through. The location is perfect; walking distance to the Main Square, all the commodities also a short walk away. Peaceful, residential street. Renovated to a high standard with parquet flooring, high ceiling, a ceramic stove. Contemporary graphic art and a mix of classic pre-war and modern furniture and lighting, ensure comfort with plenty of local character and charm.
We took special care that all beds have a bed side lamp with light brights enough for reading - often it is a problem in rented accommodation. We hate it when it happens to us on our travel so we make sure our guests don't have this problem either!
Modern, fully equipped kitchens, central heating, satellite TV, DVD player, a cot or a high chair can be provided. Internet access , WiFi ( wireless up to 5 devices)
Good reasons to book our apartment:: Our apartment, which we visit regularly with our children, has a unique location: Old Town is the heart of Krakow, that's where you want to be and yet in our apartments you will be away from the noisy city centre. From here you can walk to all tourist attractions. The Main Square is a leisurely 10-15 min walk. Wawel Castle is a short tram ride away and the tram stop is round the corner from our street. Public transport is inexpensive in Poland.
We always try to ensure that you have a fantastic time in Krakow and we will always be happy to answer all your email enquiries - all you need to do is ask.
You will be met at the apartment by our very friendly representative (who speaks several languages). He will show you round the apartment and explain how things work and recommend restaurants or places to visit if you wish to. We will also send you our personal recommendation of places to eat and see in Krakow. If travel with children - we can recommend places that your children will find attractive.
If you wish to travel to Auschwitz or visit a World Heritage salt mines in Wieliczka - we can help you organize your trip, too.

What a fabulous place -a gorgeous flat, clean, warm, comfortable and so convenient for the centre without being totally on top of it -which meant quiet nights and a good nights sleep after walking around all day! I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit this fascinating city.

Hi Beata Just to let you know that we had a fantastic 4 night stay in Krakow. We thought it was a beautiful city, well named the cultural capital of Poland. The apartment was lovely, very comfortable, homely and tastefully modernised. We visited all the sites including Auschwitz, Birkenau, Schinder's factory and we walked to Plaszow concentration camp which we thought was very moving. Myself and my daughter loved the Cloth Hall in the main square and spent hours browsing in the shops and stalls while my husband contented himself enjoying the Tyskie lager. We hope your representative found everything in order when we left and we are both looking forward to coming back to your lovely city in a couple of years time. In the meantime we will have no hesitation recommending your apartment to our family and friends. Many thanks Lesley and family.

Seperb Holiday Apartment
We can only endorse all the other 5 star reviews by agreeing that the apartment is excellent both internally and in terms of its location. The supermarket Kefirek in Karmelicka street, just round the corner from the apartment is fine for everyday needs. The bakery opposite sells excellent bread and rolls. Inside the apartment is spacious and warm. It’s just as described on the website and the booking through Beata and the meetings with Andrzej on arrival and departure went smoothly. As for Krakow itself, it’s a gem of a small city. It offers wonderful opportunities for culture and eating and drinking. We particulary enjoyed thick hot chocolate and spicy apple pies at Nowa Prowincja on Ulica Bracka. The guided cycle tour from Cool Tours is an excellent way to get orientated and later in the holiday you can hire bikes only and head out of the city by cycling along the banks of the Vistula. Whether you go to Auschwitz or not the museums in Krakow dedicated to the Nazi occupation of Krakow are chilling but informative and there is a special price ticket if you decide to visit all three – the ex-Gestapo headquarters at Pomarska Street, Schindler’s factory ( a must-see) and the Eagle Pharmacy on the corner of Plac Bohaterow Getta. Finally check out the live music at the Harris Piano Bar and Alchemia. We’d go back to Krakow like a shot – so much we didn’t do – and would have no hesitation in returning to Beata's fabulous apartment

I would like to thank you very much for our very enjoyable short break in your apartment Cracovia 1. Everything went to plan, taxi waiting for us at the airport and Andrej waiting at the apartment. His help and advice ensured we were able to make the most of our short time in the lovely city of Krakow. We found some great places to eat and also used your recommendation for the Pod Baranem, which was really good. Your apartment was warm, welcoming and spacious, an ideal base for all our needs.

Great apartment in a fantastic city !!!
Great apartment in a fantastic city !!!
The listing description of the apartment was very accurate regarding the location, layout with all facilities you would need for a city break, with a few extra home comforts. The owner, Beatta & her representative in Krakow, Andre were extremely helpful and delivered excellent customer service. Beatta arranged transfers for us which were reliable & reasonable. The apartment was lovely and clean, comfortable & well maintained. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone except the infirm, due to the stairs ( although I do think a lift was being fitted) the hallway was under renovation so not very inviting on first sight but don't let this put you off as the apartment is lovely, as I am sure the hallway will be when finished. Activities we recommend include, obviously Auswitch & Berkanhau are a must see if you are in that area, the Salt mine is worth a visit but don't do the 3 hour tour ( we just did 2 and that is more than enough). The city is beautiful and has countless bars and restaurants, of which we sampled plenty and we are confident that you could walk in any and not be disappointed as every one we went in was lovely, value for money, excellent service and good food!! We went in August 2011 for our second visit to Krakow, and the weather was lovely, the first time we went was March 2009 when the weather was freezing but either season it is a beautiful place to visit and we will definitely be returning and very likely will use this apartment again !!!!! Mr & Mrs Deighan from Bolton (with daughters aged 20 & 24 and their boyfriends, who also loved it all).

Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind words. We hope that all our guests have similar experience to yours. If you think about visitng Krakow again - consider coming in winter when the city is often covered in snow and looks fabulous. Some guests combine the visit with skiing holidays in nearby Tatra mountains. There is also a slope very close by ( about 30 min from Krakow) - inexpensive and good fun! We loved it! Worth a try!
Lovely apartment north west of the main square (10-15 mins walk) in a quiet residential area opposite the main Police headquarters. Still having renovations on the outside but this did not affect us. Many original features are retained and the apartment is very spacious, clean and well equipped. There is enough room in the kitchen area to seat 6 comfortably so makes it more like a dining room. All details are correct as mentioned on the website. Our visit coincided with a bank holiday and John-Paul's beatification which meant many shops (especially the 24hr supermarkets close by) were closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. You get a better exchange rate from the local Kantor/Bureau de change than the Banks in town or in England. The 292 bus from the top of Kamelika Street is ideal for the airport and at 3pln is great value, take care though as the timetable is different for weekends and holidays!A visit to Auschwitz is a must but research bus times carefully and try to get there for the 1st english tour at 10.30 and then every hour. You will need all day (the official Auschwitz website is not very clear/helpful about timings etc). The owners' local respresentative, Anjay, is very helpful and informative and speaks excellent english. It's nice to have the security of a local contact in case of need, which we didn't as everything went like clockwork. We would definitley recommend this apartment and hope to visit again to see the countryside and explore more of the town.

Amazing apartmentGuest comment entered by owner
This was our first visit to Krako and it did not disappoint. We were lucky to get a week of great weather and the apartment was lovely - spacious, very well equipped, clean, and comfortable. We loved the deco and the kitchen was well equipped. The area is great for any type of holiday, whether you are looking for relaxing and leisurely time or something a bit more active -- there is something to suit everyone. The are many good restaurants around the Market Square but there are also some grocery shops close by if you want to cater at home. The owner was very helpful and the point of contact in Krakow helped us with transport to Wieliczka and Zakopane. Thank you! We would definitely recommend you to our friends.

Superb apartment in the city centre
The best apartment I’ve stayed in, in Poland! Fantastic apartment and location where you feel like you are really living in Krakow and not just visiting. Just the right place for a short stays and also for staying longer periods, due to its size and comfort. The apartment is much bigger than it looks on the photographs and just as comfortable, and the owner does everything she can to make sure you are welcome. I can guarantee your friends and family will wanting to stay there after you. I know I will be back

great apartment in a fantastic city
We stayed in the apartment for a week during Christams. From the start it felt like a home, the apartment oozes charm and comfort. The rooms are huge with high ceilings throughout It is furnished with all the facilities you would hope for. New Year was -18 degrees for several days and despite this the apartment was always warm. I will come back!

About the owner: I grew up in Krakow in an old, beautiful apartment. We rented it, like most Poles, from the state. Sadly my family was not able to buy the property after the communist regime collapsed. In the late 80's, having completed my studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, I moved to London. Andrew, my husband, is an interior designer, I used to teach here and for some years I worked in BBC radio. We have 3 children now who take up most of my time. When they get a bit bigger I plan to get back to teaching. We've always wanted to have a place of our own in Krakow , where we could stay while visiting my Polish family. When I inherited some money from my grandparents - our dream came true. We love to come here and we do as often as we can. We are never bored here - there are things to do for adults and kids alike. My favourite pastime ( when the weather is good!) is sitting in a cafe on the Main Square, soaking up the sun while sipping a cuppucino. I also like going to concerts, exhibitions and new galleries that mushroom in Krakow every year. And that you can do in any weather!
Why the Owner Chose Krakow (Cracow):
We decided to buy this particular apartment because of its very fantastic location. We wanted to have an apartment near the Market Square but not actually on it. It can be very noisy on the Market Square with all the tourists staying up until early hours. Our street is very peaceful and yet only 10-15 ( max!) walk from the Market Square. There is a 24 hrs well stocked supermarket just round the corner. There are bakeries and cafes 2 min walk from the apartment. When we are tired after the whole day of activities and we don't fancy walking home - we hope on a tram. The tram stop is 2 min walk from the apartments.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Our apartments offer great comfort and space! They are our second homes and when we come here we often bring our friends. Therefore we have taken great care to make them feel cosy and welcoming. They are at a perfect location - all our previous guests who have sent us feedback - loved the proximity to Karkow's main attractions and yet be away from the crowds when you want to. The greatest attraction for bigger groups is the ability to combine both apatments into a single, super apartment . There is no apartment like this in Krakow!
