Privacy and Solitude
I did not know what to expect upon my arrival in PEI for my vacation. It had been 35 years since I last was on the Island. I could not have been more astonished by the beautiful property I was fortunate enough to have rented. As I drove through the gate and down the red soil driveway I had a feeling of privacy and solitude. Upon my approach the view was incredible. I gazed over the soy bean fields to the sparkling West river. There was a vast amount of yard and space to play and even a hammock at the far edge of the property for relaxation. The home itself was the perfect size. Three bedrooms well spaced apart with a gorgeous view from the master. The decor and furniture was simple, tasteful and very comfortable. Most importantly, the kids and my wife loved it! I would highly recommend Westville Vista for families or for couples. I anxiously look forward to my return.

Our stay was very pleasant. As soon as we entered the entrance lanes to the house, we were greeted by beautiful scenery of the trees, water and the cozy cottage. The house was stocked with everyday amenities and the internet was fast. Communication with owners were great - got speedy replies - so it was assuring. Thanks for making your summer home available Lisa! We had a great time.

It is such a wonderful spot, so peaceful.
I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your beautiful cottage. It was such a wonderful spot, so peaceful. We did a lot of swimming in the river, there was a seal who loved to sun himself on the beach to the right of the cottage every afternoon. We did a lot of traveling around the island too, and your cottage is located well to access many different spots. So thanks for sharing it with us. It’s a wonderful cottage. You’ve decorated it beautifully. It was so difficult to leave on Saturday.

Convenient to all!Guest comment entered by owner
Convenient to all!
We had a wonderful time, and the house was really nice. We enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen, and took several day trips to beaches, Victoria, and surrounds. It was convenient to all, and the commute to my meeting in Charlottetown was not bad either! We lacked nothing during our stay at the house, and my son lamented that he would miss the view when we left. He fell asleep watching the sun set almost every night of our stay.

About the owner: My name is Lisa MacEwen and this land has been in my family for over 200 years. I grew up down the road and this property was the site of a Homestead, built in 1805, by my Great Great Grandparents and later by my Great Aunt. I live in Toronto with my husband and 2 kids and we built this home in 2012 to enjoy for ourselves for several weeks in the summer.
Why the Owner Chose Meadowbank:
This is a special place with some of the oldest Chestnut trees in PEI, dating back to 1914, (which my Great Uncle brought back from California, to plant, before he headed of the WW1). After unsuccessful attempts to save the old Homestead, I decided to demolish it and built a brand new modern, modest but spacious and cozy home. I was able to save some pieces from the old Homestead that were incorporated in the decor and construction to give this new place some traditional character. Although I own other waterfront land on the Westriver, I chose to build here, as this land has a special, tranquil and peaceful energy to it, with a view! Every time I come home here, I don't want to leave!
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
The water on the South Shore is warmer and safer than the tourist popular Northshore. Canoe Cove, 5 minutes away, is one of the most popular south shore beaches known for its safe water, tide pools and red cliffs. You can also have you own private access to the West River in front of the property where you can explore by digging clams, oysters and mussels.
