We are a short walk from Santa Barbara's State Street where you will find shopping, restaurants, bars, theatre and much more and just a short, less than 1 mile from the beach. We have 2 bikes for your use, with a security deposit, while staying at the Fig House. Why the Owner Chose Downtown: We chose to buy this house due to the architectural qualities and the proximity, short walk, to downtown Santa Barbara. The house was built in 1910 and has unique charm. We have renovated focusing on maintaining the integrity of the period with modern conveniences. My wife, an accomplished artist, has a passion for redoing houses and keeping the charm. She puts thought in every detail from the Donald Kaufman interior paint to the lighting fixtures which in this house many are from Europe and are from the mid-century, all of which are pieces of art. She finds furnishings from around the globe. No detail is too small. Everything is thought out with focus on aesthetics, functionality and comfort. We want your stay to be truly memorable. This is our seventh renovation/redo for our properties, including locations in New Orleans, the north shore of Kauai, the Big Island and Honolulu. We currently own and operate 3 vacation rental properties all listed on vrbo. Visit our other properties at vrbo listings 200590 and 129143. We will soon add properties in Park city, UT and another property in Honolulu. None of our properties are your typical vacation rental. Each has character and style and is more like a home than a rental property. Our artwork includes collectors items from around the US and south Pacific.
