Walking distance to the sledding hill and the Trout Creek Recreation Center, five minutes from Tahoe Donner Family Ski Area and Cross-Country Center, 20 minutes to all major ski resorts, including North Star, Squaw, and Alpine. There is something for everyone here, and we are in the heart of it in this wonderfully quiet and central Tahoe Donner neighborhood.
To help you maximize your enjoyment, we have a hefty binder of restaurants, resort information, biking, hiking, and skiing trails, and local shops and services. Plan to stay at least a week to take advantage of all that is available. Be sure to save some time for family dinners around our extra-long dining room table or for a soak in the hot tub. Plenty of room for two families so you can double your fun!

This is our second stay in this home. We spent a week in the summer here and just returned from a long weekend in the snow. The house could not be more comfortable. The layout is perfect and allows for both adults and kids to have their space. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the entire house is in pristine condition. For a family with small kids, staying in Tahoe Donner is perfect...access to the rec center and lake in the summer was great, and the incredibly family friendly downhill ski slope in Tahoe Donner is affordable and well run for children's skiing lessons. Our three year old had a blast and our six year old now has the ski bug. The hot tub is icing on the cake! Thank you!

We had a great time at this wonderfully located and well-equipped home. Although there was very little snow, there were plenty of resorts nearby with manmade snow, so we were able to get in all of the snow fun we had been seeking. Boreal Ridge is only 10 minutes away and Northstar at Tahoe only about 15 minutes. The ice skating at Northstar was a huge hit and was only $10 a person. Additionally, the Trout Creek Recreation Center had swimming in the afternoon in their heated, outdoor pool and is located only 2 blocks away. There is a very nice deli/grocery store within walking distance. The town of Truckee is only a few minutes away, great for shopping and restaurants, although the nicely appointed kitchen and huge dining table made it easy for us to enjoy many cozy meals right there. The home itself was very clean, and the owner made the whole experience easy. The hot tub was a big hit, also! We are definitely looking forward to a return trip.

This is a beautiful, extremely clean and thoughtfully decorated vacation home! There are plenty of beds for a large group, a comfortable TV area with a great selection of videos for adults and kids, a game room set up with a Wii, air hockey table and board games, a spotless and functional kitchen with a great counter to sit at and a hot tub to wind down at the end of the day. The location is very convenient to the Rec Center and town. We had a great stay! Thank you for sharing this home!

We have been renting various Tahoe cabins for more than 30 years - every summer and every winter. This cabin is the best I have ever experienced. I won't repeat the superlatives in the other reviews, I'll just confirm them. I would add 2 things. First, the location of this cabin is excellent. It is a quiet location, yet it is an easy walk to the rec center. There are many pleasant walks you can take without ever getting into your car, and, if you are a x-c skier, Tahoe Donner XC (second only to Royal Gorge) is a 3 minute drive. Second, I would say that the owners are excellent. As other reviewers have already stated, the cabin is clean, well-equipped, well laid out, etc. etc. But, in my extensive cabin renting experience, this is the only cabin I have rented which has actually *improved* over time. Sadly, most rental cabins are in a state of continuous decline. Over the several years I have rented here, I have seen regular improvement. So, I like this place a lot and will be back. I would ask that unless you're willing to treat this place with care and respect, that you rent something else.

We had a great stay at this home in Tahoe Donner. It is beautful, spacious and spotless and also tastefully decorated and very comfortable. There were lots of games in the loft for the kids including foosball and Wii games and a very warm living area with a real wood burning stove! The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We all loved the hottub after our very cold, snowy ski day. We'd love to rent this home again.

This Tahoe Donner cabin home is absolutely awesome.! We have stayed here several times and will continue to do so as often as we can. The home is very clean, well-maintained, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay at an affordable price. It is also easy to get to all of the area ski resorts. The owners are terrific as well. We highly recommend this cabin home.

We loved this place! It has great amenities nearby which include a pool and playground for the kids. We skied North Star both days which is nearby. The house is lovely and nicely maintained. Good kitchen for cooking too. We will definately go back!
