  The setting was perfect- away from the fast city pace of Amsterdam, but close enough to access Amsterdam easily via public transportation or bikes - we used them every day. The description describes the cottage well, it was very clean, cozy and had everything and more that we needed ( 2 bikes included) . "Customer Service" was exceptional, thanks to the warmth and friendliness of the owner, as well as all other dutch people we met - felt we could ask for anything we needed. Information ( maps etc.) was provided for the local area as well as for other parts of Holland. We would highly recommend this property - it even had a protected "bird" area out the front window. Really cute town!

  We stayed in this lovely 'quaint' cottage for a fortnight, and had two full weeks of total relaxation, peace and quiet. The owner was there when we arrived, greeting us with a warm Dutch welcome. Nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay, even when the kids forgot the key, she was more than happy to give them the spare! The cottage itself is compact, although it comfortably accommodated us as a family of four. It was clean and warm, with everything provided, including fresh linen & towels. All of which added to the 'home from home' feel. We felt right at home sitting outside looking over the fields with the ongoing wildlife. The cottage is around a 20 minute cycle ride to Amsterdam central, two bicycles are provided by the owner, which was perfect. The cottage is also situated a few minutes drive from the major highway, (although you don't see or hear it), and we found it very easy to catch trams/buses just down the road. There is a lovely organic supermarket nearby, selling excellent local fresh produce, (fruit, meat and bread!) perfect for eating in or small snacks. We highly reccommend this cottage to anyone that enjoys a rural location, with the added bonus of being only a few miles away from city life. We will definatley be returning to this hidden treasure!

  My partner and I stayed here for a week and tho the apartment was small It was clean and tidy and had all the things for the outdoor person, Bikes, Fishing, Walking, Birdwatching. The owner of this apartment was very nice and helpful and could not do enough for us even washing our clothes (No Washing Machine in apartment) All in all I would go back to Durgerdam and stay here in a heartbeat.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

  Das kleine Haus liegt ruhig im Garten eines Fischerhauses, das Teil einer Reihe von kleinen Fischerhäuschen ist, die sich auf einem Damm entlang des IJsselmeers befinden. Im Wohnzimmer hat man einen Blick auf ein Weideland/Naturschutzgebiet (nicht auf das Wasser). Mit dem Fahrrad kann man in ca. 30 Minuten (schöne Strecke) das Ufer gegenüber von Amsterdam Centraal erreichen. Eine kostenlose Fähre fährt im 4-Minuten-Takt hin und her. Mit Bus oder Tram kann man das Haus ebenfalls in ca. 30 Min. von Amsterdam Centraal aus erreichen (außer am Wochenende). Einkaufsgelegenheiten sind ca. 3 km entfernt. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es sind alle Utensilien zum Kochen vorhanden. Ein Schlafzimmer ist mit Doppelbett, das andere Schlafzimmer mit Etagenbett. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uns hat das Haus sehr gut gefallen.

  Wir waren zu dritt einige Tage in Durgerdam zu Gast und wirklich begeistert! Der kleine Ort ist ein Traum für alle, die Idylle und ländliche Ruhe mögen, zugleich aber in weniger als 15 Minuten in der Weltstadt Amsterdam sein wollen! Das Gartenhäuschen ist klein aber liebevoll eingerichtet und wer in der gut ausgestatteten Küche kochen möchte, kann im nahe gelegenen Landmarkt wunderbar auch biologische Produkte einkaufen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich, sympatisch und unkompliziert und hilft bei allen Fragen gerne weiter. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder in dieses kleine Paradies und können die Unterkunft nur bedingungslos empfehlen.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  Une charmante maison dans un charmant village ! La maison est très bien placée: à 15 minutes d'Amsterdam dans un village calme et pittoresque. C'est un bon point de départ pour visiter la Hollande. La location est très propre et agréablement aménagée et équipée. Nous avons séjourné une semaine avec nos deux adolescents et envisageons d'y retourner.

  ... allora sicuramente il villaggio è molto bello ... pero' tenete conto che le foto del sito sono state scattate d'estate ! in dicembre è tutt'altra cosa ! inoltre la casetta non si affaccia sul mare ... le foto delle casette viste dall'esterno non sono poi in realta' quelle della casa pubblicizzata dato che si trova sul retro di una di queste che guardano il mare e la vista reale è campagna e tralicci dell'alta tensione..sconsigliato a coppie giovani ! voto 5

  Wij wonen in de VS en voor onze vakantie in Nederland zocht ik een huisje voor vier personen vlakbij Amsterdam voor een redelijke prijs. Toen ik dit leuke huisje in Durgerdam vond heb ik niet meer verder gezocht, dit was het! Bij aankomst waren we blij verrast dat het nog leuker was dan we verwachtten. Het is niet supergroot voor vier volwassen maar het ging prima. Het huisje heeft veel privacy en een mooi terras met wijds uitzicht over de weilanden. Prachtig en zeer rustgevend. We hebben genoten van de koeien (bijna) in onze achtertuin (die waren net uit de stal in april)en alle weidevogels, kippen, eenden, fazanten en zelfs hazen in het weiland. We hebben hier twee weken gelogeerd en niemand van ons wilde naar huis na afloop, zo hadden we het naar ons zin. Het huisje bood alle comfort die we nodig hadden en een grote plus voor ons was de twee fietsen die bij het huisje hoorden. Daarnaast hebben we voor bijna de gehele periode nog twee fietsen gehuurd in de buurt. We hadden een druk programma met veel tijd in Amsterdam en elders in Nederland met familie en vrienden en het was altijd weer heerlijk thuiskomen en lekker relaxen in Durgerdam. De eigenaresse is heel vriendelijk en hulpvaardig en haar gastvrijheid heeft er zeker toe bijgedragen ons verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. In de omgeving kun je werkelijk prachtige fietstochten maken langs het IJsselmeer en richting de eveneens schilderachtige plaatsjes Broek in Waterland, Monnickendam en Volendam. Zeer zeker aan te bevelen! Deze locatie is een perfecte combinatie van bruisend Amsterdam vlakbij en de rust en sereniteit van het platteland. Voor ons volgende bezoek aan Nederland hopen we zonder meer terug te kunnen keren naar dit prachtige plekje in Durgerdam.
