Great Stay

Guest: Beachbirds (Florida Gulf Coast)
Date of Stay: 01/12/12 Review Submitted: 02/12/12

We stayed over MLKJ day weekend and had a wonderful time. The location to the slopes was awesome; only a 3 minute walk, so it was easy to eat lunch and get back out there. The condo was clean and had everything that we expected available for our use. Trying cut down on cost we brought groceries and cooked all of our meals in the condo, and had no problems - kitchen simplified our meals. We added firewood to the rental and were thankful for the warmth and atmosphere it provided. Both the owner and the property managers were extremely helpful and made our stay trouble-free. We will be back!!!

Great stay on the mountain

Guest: Jake (Huffman, Texas)
Date of Stay: 01/02/12 Review Submitted: 02/04/12

My wife and I, plus three grown boys and a couple of guests, came and enjoyed our stay. The condo was fantastic and there was plenty of room for everyone. Clean, comfortable and a three minute walk to the slopes. Angel Fire is a great place to visit and this was the perfect place to stay. We stayed a week and did not want to leave. I highly recommend this place to any one who is looking for a reasonably priced get-away in the mountains. All of the folks we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The enitre rental process couldn't have been easier. Enjoy.

Owner response:I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in the Mountain View Condo and I appreciate you taking the time to submit a review. I try to keep both of my personal properties in great shape and try to offer all the amenities you would expect in your own home. It is great to hear that you didn't want to leave, because that probably means you will visit again in the near future.

This is our second time staying at this condo and we are very pleased with the accomodations! It is very close to the lifts that you can walk home for lunch. Very convenient and nice! We are planning on staying here again!!

Owner response:Thanks for deciding to stay in the Mountain View Condo again this year and for taking the time to submit a review for the condo. I am pleased that you felt the condo was nicely furnished and that you liked the short walk to the slopes. Please keep the Mountain View Condo and my other personal property, Cabin in the Woods - VRBO #105599, in mind when you visit Angel Fire next time.

The condo met all are expectations. It was clean, well maintained and just as listed. The owner was very helpful and accomodating. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family. We plan to stay again next summer. For the winter its just a short walk to the slopes, closer then the main parking lot.

Fabulous Mountain Get Away

Guest: safaritex (DFW, Texas)
Date of Stay: 08/06/11 Review Submitted: 08/16/11

The Mountain View Condo was perfect for the whole family. I took my children (5 and 7), my wife, and my parents and we had a great time. The vaulted living room and corner fireplace provided a warm end to each day. The balcony and chairs provided a fabulous view to inspire reading, writing, and working. The upstair bedroom provided privacy for me and my children, while the downstairs bedroom allowed my mom and dad their own space. The dining room table seated all six of us and allowed us to enjoy family meals together. I can't wait to come back again and would highly recommend this first class accomodation to others.

Owner response:James, I am glad you and your family enjoyed your stay in the Mountain View Condo. I hope that you will keep both of my personal properties (Mountain View Condo and Cabin in the Woods - VRBO #105599) in mind if you decide to visit Angel Fire again in the future.

Best Family Summer Vacation

Guest: Rob T. (Dallas, Texas)
Date of Stay: 06/27/11 Review Submitted: 11/23/11

Our family of 5 spent a month here during this past summer and it was the best idea we ever had. The location of the condo is perfect for taking daily hikes up the mountain as well as walking around the mountain side of town. Our young daughters loved being able to walk to the library every day or so and at least three restaurants were within a 5 min. walk. This condo has a peaceful view of the valley which was the best way to wake up and start our day every morning. The unit was plenty big for our family and having an upstairs bedroom was great for giving our girls a place of their own to play as well as a place to corral all their things out of the family areas. Angel Fire was the perfect home-base for side trips to Red River, Taos, and Santa Fe due to the fact that it allowed us to enjoy those more tourist-heavy locations but still be able to have a relaxed, slow-paced mountain get-away experience (We were so thankful we didn't book in Red River or Taos because of the crowds). As I said, this place was perfect and we are so thankful we found it - couldn't have been a better summer.

A great place to stay

Guest: Dave (Southwest Indiana)
Date of Stay: 06/01/10 Review Submitted: 11/30/10

We stayed here for the month of June and loved it. The condo has plenty of space, is well-equipped, is affordable and has a great location. We were a short distance from the Chile Express which we enjoyed riding to the top of the mountain. There is a nice view from the balcony of part of Angel Fire with mountains in the background. The Moreno Valley was beautiful with abundant wild flowers blooming while we were there. A very enjoyable vacation.

Owner response:Dave, Thanks so much for the review on the Mountain View Condo. It has been a while since a guest has taken the time to submit a review and I know future guests will be glad to know that the condo is a nice place at an affordable price. Please keep my properties in mind if you decide to visit Angel Fire again in the future. Greg

Home Sweet Home to use an ancient cliche. We absolutely loved the Condo. It was perfect, roomy, comfortable and best of all affordable. The mountainview was a sight to see morning noon and night. We walked and hicked up the mountains on either side of the valley and went whitewater rafting in nearby Taos. Everyday or evening the condo was the perfect place to come home to. We hope to return soon. We really would like to make it a frequent visit. thank you Greg for making our very first family vacation possible. WOW!!!

Owner response:Thanks for taking the time to make an entry in my guestbook. I hope you will keep my properties (Mountain View Condo & Cabin in the Woods) in mind for any future visits you might plan to Angel Fire.

We had a great trip to Angelfire! The snow was great this year, but we were a week to late for the good stuff. It was 60 degrees almost every day during our trip, but we still had fun. The condo was excellent! The kitchen had everything we needed which really helped. Being able to walk to and from the lifts so quickly was great, we had never had that luxury before. Everything was very clean when we arrived, and all applianced worked fine. This condo gets an A+

We had an absuletely great vacation at Angelfire! The snow was fantastic! The skiing was great! The was a great condo! The location is very convenient to the ski lift and the daycare. This is a great condo for one large family or two families. The upstairs bedroom has plenty of room for a family of 6. And, it has a playstation for the kids to use with a private bathroom. The downstairs bedroom is off the family room and has room for four. It also has a TV. Their is a second full bath off the kitchen. The family room is very comfortable and the fire place was great after a cold day of skiing. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and utensils for a a large group with a table seating six, bar stools for four and tray tables for four. The condo was recently updated and is in great shape! We hope you have as great a vacation as we did!

We were staying at the Condo during the record breaking snow fall. Both the owner (Greg) and the Resort Properties Management (Leslie and Susie) were GREAT about keeping us informed about the status of the "storm" and making us feel safe. Apart from being "snowed in", we (2 families staying together with small children) had a wonderful time. The condo is SO well equiped and the location is awesome. The skiing (before the snow fall) was terrific and the ski school was wonderful for our kids. If we ever return to Angel Fire we will definitley stay at this condo!!!

We had a great experience with the Mountain View Condo. The Christmas decorations made it very festive for the season. Walking distance from the slopes was very convenient. The condo had all the ammenities we needed and more. We warmed by the fire several times with the wood provided. Overall, the vacation was wonderful and we recommend and will use the Mountain View Condo again.

Our weekend trip up to beautiful northern New Mexico was well worth it! We were very happy with our choice of accomodations. The views from the balcony were spectacular! It was so green and breathtaking. We can only imagine how beautiful the area is with snow. All the essentials were provided, we just had to bring food. The stereo and Playstation entertained both the adults and kids. The linens were fresh. Wood was provided for the fireplace. The washer and dryer came in handy for one of the guests who met us after work. There was even complimentary shampoo/lotion/make-up removal wipes and soap. The ladies at the rental property were very professional and nice. They provided great instructions how to get to their office and then to the property. We enjoyed fishing just 11 miles away. We highly recommend this rental. We will definetely be back to enjoy the snow (it's a short walk to the lifts). We know you will enjoy your time in Angel Fire.

Owner response:I am glad you enjoyed your visit to Angel Fire and your stay in the Mountain View Condo. Thanks for taking the time to enter a comment in the guestbook and I hope you will visit Angel Fire again during ski season, because it is a great place to ski! Greg Countryman

Date of Stay: 01/09/05 Review Submitted: 01/09/05

We've been going to Angel Fire for 5 years now. We rent a Condo each time. This is the nicest, best equipped Condo so far. It has a lot of ammenities that the others did not including nice kitchen appliances, dishes, playstation & DVD's. We will definitely rent this condo again if it is available. Thank you for letting us enjoy a week away in the snow and mountains. The Angel Fire picture we took speaks for itself. Sincerely, T. Riese & family The only problem we encountered was the dryer. It was stuffed full of lint below the screen. Apparently, if you close the folding door, the humidity from the dryer clogs up the vent with lint and moisture. You need to make sure that the folding door is left open. It adds moisture to the condo... a little lint too...but it's not too bad. Future rentors need to understand that if the lint is trapped in there, it is a fire hazard.

Owner response:Thanks for your comments about the Mountain View Condo and I appreciate you letting me know about the dryer. We will look into this situation and see what we can do to resolve the problem. Greg Countryman

Welcome to the Mountain View Condo. The condo was remodeled in October of 2004 with fresh paint, new carpet and ceramic tile was added to the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms. In addition, most of the bedroom furniture and all of the dining/living room furniture is new. The kitchen has been furnished with new dishes, new glasses, new cookware and new small appliances. There are about a dozen movies (DVD & VCR) and a Playstation 2 with seven games for your entertainment (feel free to bring your own movies and PS2 games also). After your visit, please add comments to the guestbook concerning your stay in the Mountain View Condo in Angel Fire and also give suggestions on anything we can do to make your next stay even more enjoyable.
