  We could not have asked for better accomadations, location, and setting. Spent most of the time on the private beach, or the deck, or the yard with a fantastic view of the lake. The house is fully equipped with anything you could think of for a great week at the beach!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

  My husband and I spent a week in this cozy house. It was extremely clean and had no bugs! It was also very quiet and private. The size of the beach varies with the size of the waves, but there is plenty of beach to lounge on and comb for treasures! There are 35 steps down from the yard to the beach, so be prepared for that (and 2 decks at various points down the steps). Also great photo ops of amazing sunsets. There were plenty of kitchen utensils and bath towels, and the beds were very comfy. The A/C works great, and the bathroom is clean and modern with a nice shower. This house is a couple miles outside of town - not really within walking distance to anything. The town of Vermilion has quite a few nice local restaurants. We recommend Soda Grill, Granny Joe's, The Knotty Pine and Martino's International Cafe. There are also quite a few nice shops to explore. We would recommend this home to our friends, and we will likely stay there again in the future.

  Excellent rental choice! For our first ever family only vacation, myself, my husband, and our 2 children (17 and 8 years old) were joined by my brother and his fiance, my sister and her 2 children (9 and 10), and our mother for a wonderful week-long stay at this property. We enjoyed everything about the houses, the decks, and of course, the beach and the lake! We rented both the 3BR cottage and the additional 2BR, and found more than enough space for our 10 people and supplies - the extra refrigerator, kitchen, and bathroom in the 2BR unit are ideal. The sunsets from the yard, decks, and beach were nothing short of spectacular - friends that have seen our pictures think we were somewhere tropical! Every day was different - the weather, the lake, the beach, and the wildlife were always changing and fun to explore. The water was shallow enough and pleasant for even small children to enjoy safely. Plenty of outside furniture is provided to keep everyone comfortable while enjoying the weather and sights from the multi-level decks (you'll get some excercise going up and down the stairs). There were a variety of stores and activities nearby (even within walking distance), making it easy to have everything we needed to keep everyone happy. The area is nice and easily accessible by car to Sandusky and Huron for more recreation and shopping choices. Best of all, the owners are a joy to deal with and easy to reach. The house was in excellent condition and everything was as expected - if not more than expected! We will definitely return to this property and recommend it for a relaxing and quality vacation on a budget, for those with guests from 3 to 60!

The Three-Bedroom 1 bath is $1,275 week, Sunday to Sunday May thru Labor Day.
The Optional Two-Bedroom 1 bath Cottage is available for an additional $575/week.
We only rent the two-bedroom as an add on, not seperately.
Sept thru Oct the 3 BR is $1,100.00 week or $195.00 night (3) night minimum
Add $375.00 for the 2 BR cottage.
