The stone fireplace lends warmth to a cozy family room with a wood-beamed ceiling, skylight, hardwood floors, and a stunning view of the lake. Some of the amenities you will find include a 27-inch cable TV, VCR/DVD, CD player, computer with high-speed Internet, games, books, magazines, and videos.
Bake some goodies in the country kitchen, which houses all the necessary appliances, supplies, and modern conveniences. Dine indoors looking out bay windows or grill outside and enjoy your meal on the deck with a spectacular view.
Plenty of sleeping quarters with three delightfully decorated bedrooms (king, queen, and two twins). The king-size and queen-size bedrooms have lake views, cable TV, ceiling fans, comfortable mattresses, quaint antique furnishings, and mountain decor. The twin-bedded room also includes cable TV, plus a VCR and ceiling fan. A comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa is available in the family room in case extra bedding is needed. There are two full baths with showers and tubs, plenty of space for toiletries, a half bath off the queen-size bedroom, and a separate laundry room with washer and dryer.
Lakeview is only one-and-one-half miles from the center of Highlands, a great place to shop or dine in some of North Carolina's finest restaurants. Located just minutes from hiking trails, scenic waterfalls, and lake access for canoeing or kayaking. You can ride ATVs, go rappelling, llama trekking, horseback riding, or picnic at a public beach that is less than five minutes away. The winter months are the time for downhill skiing, snow boarding, and tubing, which are all within 15 minutes.
