We just finished updating the home with fresh paint, tile, linens and all new furniture....just like new and right downtown in the middle of everything Austin has to offer. Entire home within walking distance of restaurants, grocery and hike and bike trail. Right in the middle of downtown Austin, stay in the original and oldest part of Austin.
This house provides a full kitchen, living area, 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Linens and towels provided. The home is separated from another rental on the property by a courtyard and fence so both properties have privacy and separate yards to relax and enjoy in. There is a large driveway to accommodate up to four cars in tandem and a 2 car garage. Each bedroom has a queen bed and a portable bed can be provided to accommodate up to 6 guests. For larger groups, please consider the other home on this lot that is a 3 bedroom 2 bath and can accommodate an additional 8 people.(listing 403789) Perfect for family reunions!! The house is located in Clarksville which is in downtown Austin close to everything Austin has to offer such as the capitol, town lake hike and bike trail as well as several neighborhood restaurants and a grocery.
Also, please note that because the home is located in a neighborhood with other families and on the same lot as another rental, we ask that you please not rent the house if you plan to be loud and/ or have a party. About the owner: Family of Six living in downtown Austin. We bought this house located in the same neighborhood that we live in because we have always loved the house and hope to someday live in the house. We live nearby and work from home so we are close by to offer suggestions and recommendations.
Why the Owner Chose Downtown:
We love the house and the history that it holds. Clarksville is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Austin and this house was built in 1913 and has only had three owners. It still holds many original features that make it beautiful but has been updated with modern creature comforts. We also love that it is located downtown and we can walk nearly anywhere we want to go without getting into the car and battling traffic.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Original stained glass, wrought iron and tile located in the main house. There are very few houses in downtown Austin that are this large and also have a nice sized yard to relax in and enjoy.
