We have weeks available. Please see our calendar below and contact us for specific date rates. Our 2400 square foot clean and comfortable home is well maintained. Three porches, parking under the house, and additional guest parking by the 18'x 42' shared pool add to the homey comfort and convenience. We have ample room for socializing and relaxation. A small BBQ grill is located adjacent to the concrete drive & now one under the house for your use OUT from under the house. An internet cafe is less than 1 mile away with free WI-FI service.
We are in the "Beach on 9th" complex of seven homes on 9th Ave.South...nine blocks South of Surfside Pier, in Surfside Beach, SC. Our house stands alone to the right of the pool. We are located 150-160 yards from the ocean across a small road. This family vacation home is 20 minutes from major attractions including Broadway at the Beach, shopping, golf, restaurants, and sport fishing fleet at Murrells Inlet.
Also, one half mile to the library with free Internet & computer access (when you join the library - also free to you), lighted tennis, and basketball courts along with the fishing pier, several new restaurants & icecream/pizza shop. A baseball field & fishing pond are up the street a short distance, with Bocci Ball courts & picnic tables in this neighborhood park area.
Surfside Beach is a family beach and less crowded than Myrtle Beach, just seven miles north. The beach is wide and flat with Life Guards during the Summer season. You may rent chairs and umbrellas from them for your stay. Spring begins in mid-March with the Canadian-American Day Festival.Spring Flowers appear which usually lasts until late April with special garden tours and festivals. Mid to late May is the Biker's time and the weather is glorious usually. We enjoy this time of year at the beach and feel you will too.
Fall is mild with lower humidity making it a good time for golf & shopping. The new Coastal Grand Mall is open which is located 7 Miles North at Hwy 17 By-pass & Hwy 501, adjacent to the airport.
Murrell's Inlet is close by for great seafood and you could visit a different restaurant for every meal and not duplicate any sites.
A 24-hr Bi-Lo grocery with normal-low prices for all groceries and needs is a straight shot from our house with no heavy traffic area.
In fact if you hate traffic, you have many restaurants & shops to use without leaving the area between Business 17 and the ocean...all around the beach house.
We do all our renting and dealing with clients who have become friends through years of renting with us. We provide all we would want to find in a rental property. We rent our home based on the "Golden Rule" and ask you to leave the house in the same condition you found it so that the next family may also enjoy their time at the "Bitter End".

While writing this review I am currently sitting in this wonderful home. When looking for a place to stay we are very picky. My number one concern was that this house was going to be to far from the beach. It was a very short walk from the house to the beach. The home owners even provide a wagon to load up and take all of yourgoodies to the beach. We are over packers when we go to the beach but this house had any and everything you may need, even down to an extra pair of reading glasses in the kitchen drawer. This house is stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, beach games and even a kiddie pool you could fill up and use with the little ones. This house is ideal for familes with little ones. We were pleased to find a high chair, crib and toddler table with chairs. This was a great choice and we will be sure to make this "our yearly beach home" from now own.

We try to keep everything we would want in a rental there for our guests to be able to use. We want people to be able to enjoy themselves on their vacation and try to provide anything they might need. We have added 2 mesh side raillings for toddlers... they are hidden under a bed in the PINK bedroom. We want to get a new charcoal grill next time we are down for awhile....and replace the fan/light on the back screened porch.

Our clients seem to prefer leaving their comments in our paper guestbook as they leave the beach house. I can't get to the beach house due to client flow to get and copy the comments, but...we have many guests willing to give you a reference, when you inquire about the house through our VRBO site.

My wife and I have stayed in many beach homes and we have never been in a house quit like this. It is very well equipted with everything you need, from oil to vinegar, paper towels to toilet tissue, sugar to flour, games to dvds, and the kitchen has enough for service for at at least 16 people. We will be back to the Bitter End without a doubt. The unit is also very clean, bright and you feel right at home.

These comments were given to me by a client "Gerald" who was in our house this month. We've never stayed in this part of the beach and love the area and beach being so close by...and cheaper than beach front house. The house had any and everything we wanted or needed except for a hair dryer. We bought one and left it for others to use. The toilet paper was running short so we bought a big bag of rolls and left them for others. The house was clean and fully packed like no other house we've been in. Family pictures, cleaning supplies, coffee, books, toilet paper, games and all kinds of things you need but take for granted until you need them. This is a Christian owner and it shows in the attention to the client's needs and comfort. We were there the first of May and the weather was great. The children swam in the pool and when it rained one of our days, we had games there to play. We'll be back!!!
