This was my first experience in Maui and I can't wait to go back! As far as the accommodations it was is a great location, great lay out and view.. I was disappointed that the place was not quite what I expected, the dishes were dirty and mix matched I felt like I was camping. There were plenty of cook and appliances but the refrigerator leaked and some condiments would have been nice. The bathroom was very outdated and the bath tub appeared very dirty as well the taps in the shower leaked all the time and the shower head is not very powerful. The huge king size bed needs a new mattress as well there is a permanent dent in the one side and the walls are covered in hand prints. Many of the windows didn't work and the patio chairs are in very poor conditions as well. We had 3 beach mats, a boogie board and a cooler so we needed to purchase our own beach chairs and an unbrella which we left for the next guests. I WOULD recommend this location to everyone but I feel that the condo needs some work, we enjoyed the pool, great tenants, being woken up every day by the wonderful birds and so close to the beach.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Owner response: This guest never complained once about anything during their stay. Our first notification was after their departure. Since then, our condo has received a fresh coat of paint & deep cleaning. Our plumber reported a small leak from the tub/shower cold water faucet that has been repaired. He also put new caulking around the bathtub. The tub and tile has been cleaned and restored. Everything works normally now. The bathroom was remodeled in 2006, and we just refinshed the tub with a brand new epoxy coating. Our bedroom has all new furniture. There is a brand new Cal King bed frame, mattress & box spring. The fridge has been defrosted & cleaned and works normally. We replaced the microwave with a new stainless steel unit. The kitchen also has all new cookware, dishes, glassware, stainless, knives, coffee maker, toaster and many other new amenities. We get many 5 star reviews for our beautiful condo. Dozens of these are posted below and on our website. We take great pride in maintaining all our condos in excellent condition for the enjoyment of our guests as well as our family. We had a lovely time at the condo! It was the perfect place for my boyfriend and me. Across the street from a great beach (lovely sand), not too touristy, grocery store near, great kitchen, sand toys, outdoor grill. The place was clean and a 2 minute drive from where the diving boats launch to go to Molokini... Would absolutely stay there again. Extra towels, boogie board, a cooler, snorkel gear all made our trip great! The condo really felt "homey".

Thanks Grant and Lisa! Kihei Kai Nani #254 was a great location, close to nice beaches and great places to eat out and do fun activities. The condo was clean and quiet, with no other noises except the birds, which we loved. We cooked two meals per day, and the kitchen was well-stocked for what we needed. The bonus was the closet full of beach accessories including snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, portable cooler, and a beach umbrella. More than I expected. Aloha, jr

We had a great time in Kihei, and part of that was definitely the condo. It was clean and very well- placed. The grill out back was powerful and amazingly spotless. Several days we walked across the street to the Kam II beach for swimming, snorkeling, and sunset. The pool was also quite nice. When the Internet connection was not working, Grant and his local friend Marty were right there to help set things right. We would definitely stay here again, definitely rent from Grant and Lisa again, and would very much recommend unit #254 at Kihei Kai Nani.

We truly enjoyed our stay in Maui. It began very nicely when we entered the condo that was very well kept and clean. The condo had all of the amenities and much more that make it affordable to travel. Thank you so much. We would definitely stay again. Why pay so much more for hotels when you can stay in a private condo that is so much more spacious.

Very very convenient and has all facilities (i.e. stores, restaurants, recreational activities...etc.) nearby. So nice to have breakfast every morning on the large lanai with the birds. Steps away from the beach. In summary, it was very positive for us... and we will be back.... :)

The condo was in a great location. Steps away from a great beach, nice restaurants, shopping, etc. Very convenient. Nicely appointed. We especially appreciated the beach chairs and boogie boards.

Grant and Lisa, Thank you for letting us stay at your place. The savings compare to the hotel certainly had allowed us to stay longer in Maui. The condo is big for two and very comfortable. Loved the birds singing in the morning, it is a paradise. Thank you again.
