We had a good stay for 3 days at this vacation rental. The place was spic and span, fully stocked kitchen with coffee, tea, milk powder, sugar. etc. The rooms were neat and had fans too beside a/c. the bathroom had soaps, shampoo and towels. The neighbourhood was quiet and neat, very calm, and the place was very close to the falls, and easy access to the Canadian boarder. We reached there after midnight, and the only minus point was, I think which can be easily fixed, was that the number plate for the house was not located near the door or below the light, so we had to keep looking around to find the exact house, and ultimately after some time we found the no plate hanging away from the lighted area near the front of the venanda. If, not for this one glich, otherwise, it was all a pleasant stay. Thanks to the owner for making our stay neat and enjoyable.

Not a proper place for family vacation
Not a proper place for family vacation
We, a family with three children, stayed at this house for two nights (August 17-18, 2013). We were on our way back from a vacation in Massachusetts and wanted to pay a short visit to the Niagara Falls. We chose this house because of its short distance to the falls. Upon arrival, we could tell right away that we have made a mistake choosing this place. The house is located in a freaky neighborhood. Even though it is just a short distance from Niagara Falls area, it is a completely different world. It is a run-down neighborhood, almost like an abandoned one. Trashes littered everywhere. We did not feel safe, and looked the house tightly at night, never wanted to be outside. Inside, the house was clean, but the bed sheets and pillow covers smelled terrible. They were probably not washed since last use. We contacted the owner, who responded very quickly, promised that the sheets would be changed. But to our disappointment, nothing was changed the second night we were there. An excuse was sent from the owner saying that the person in charge was in hospital that day! Well, ... we wish that person well. The owner offered a small compensation for our inconvenience. We appreciated that good intention even though we did not discuss any further with compensation. The point we would like to make here is this place is not suitable for family vacation at all. For us, it was just a short stay-over at the end of our vacation. So it did not damage much. I can't imagine an entire family vacation staying at this place. To the owner: with all due respect, I honestly think that you should remove this property from vacation rental listing to save other families from ruining their precious vacation time. Otherwise, make it clear that people should be cautious about the overall condition of the property before making their decision.

Owner response: Thank you for your exaggerated gesture about the property. You should keep in mind when visit to Niagara Falls. Firstly,It is a small town and not has all amenities from the town government like the other big cities. There are no street lights in Niagara Falls except PINE Ave and other commercial streets. After the sunset people prefer to stay in home not to walk all around the city (like other town) but if anyone wants to walk around it is completely safe like the other big cities, so your point is dark all around the house is not valid. Almost 95% of all the residential streets depict the same picture. Secondly you are saying litter all around the streets, it’s because from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily street cleaning and garbage collection from the street that is why we told you alternate street parking rule apply in night time which i mentioned in letter regarding property info. Finally your claim about the bed sheets are not cleaned and smelled! when our guest checked out we changed 100% bed sheets and cleaned house regularly. When you contacted me, i was not said "you are wrong" (customer always right policy) and i tried my best to resolve your problem unfortunately cleaning lady went to the hospital and replied from their she cleaned house and changed bed sheets, if still they want to changed take extra clean sheets from bed room closet. I am thankful to you at least you realized we respond you quickly. Masroor / Aamir

We stayed in this old house for three nights. The property was clean and fit with new furniture set, which was nice. The kitchen was very well equipped. Adding a couple of cutting boards would make it perfect, but as it is it's pretty nice - all appliances work and it's roomy and convenient to use. You will need a car to get to a grocery store, but everything is within 7-15min drive from the house. The greatest inconvenience was that neither bedroom doors could be closed - perhaps, the humidity of the summer played a role, but both doors refused to fit into their frames. That meant, essentially, no privacy and that is the main reason I'm giving only 4 stars. One more detail - the third "bed", the shorter one in the second bedroom, is not a bed. It is a sleeper loveseat, I think. Our younger child initially refused to sleep in it, as the middle of it is a firm wooden beam that presses unpleasantly on the body. Fortunately, the amount of extra blankets in the closet was sufficient to negate that effect and he spent three restful nights there. The neighborhood is quiet. The street parking is no problem at all, we had a spot near the house every single time. Vicinity to all the attractions is great, the house is the perfect combination of quiet evenings/nights with all the fun of the Falls until ready to have some rest. I would also like to emphasize how responsive the owners are. Communications are easy and swift, I enjoyed the smoothness of the transaction. All in all, nice location, nice property, great owners. With doors fixed, we would stay there again.

The only thing is there's no AC in the house, however property managers are really nice, change us a larger one for one night stay and bring us AC for second night. Really appreciate!
